We came for a funeral and the desk clerk placed all of us on the same floor and very near each other. I found the room very clean, bed was very comfortable. Very welcoming staff. We would stay again.

So many Karens writing nasty reviews. My wife, our dog, and I sent five nights at the Sleep Inn in Midland, MI and we had a fine stay. The room was clean, the mini fridge kept our food cold, and the microwave warmed it up. The beds were an acquitted sleep surface and the water was hot enough for even my wife's skin blistering showers. The sink was slow when we got there but maintenance resolved the issue quickly and effectively. I suspect that many of the bad review have been written by guest who are expecting a five star hotel at mid-scale prices. Please, if you want a high end hotel book at The H in downtown Midland, pay the extra $100 a night and hush your whining about this nice mid-level hotel.

My friend and I booked this 2 bed room for 4 nights and she brought her dog. Check in was a little confusing at first, the Staff had to find her reservation and confirm pricing, etc. It worked out in the end. The property is in a more residential area, so there's not a lot walking distance besides one restaurant. The grounds were clean, but there was really no grass to walk the dog on, so she had to take him to the hotel next door and use their small patches of grass. Even with not much around the area still felt quite safe.

The room was clean and spacious enough for two people, the dog and all our stuff. The desk area was big and there was decent storage in the wardrobe and drawers. The room was lit well and had a modern and vibrant feel to its decor. Everything was in good condition, the fridge and microwave were clean and worked well. The beds were comfortable with multiple layers of linens and a comforter. The wifi worked pretty well for our streaming services on our laptop.

The bathroom was clean with the basic toiletries and had a stand up shower, but it was a bit small. There was just enough counter space for both of us to keep our items. We had enough towels and housekeeping kept us in fresh towels all the time.

The hotel was pretty quiet, it wasn't packed at all with no outside or hallway noise. Check out went well and the Staff was friendly enough.

Midland doesn't have a lot of choices, but this hotel was decent, I'd stay again.

I requested a room with 2 queen beds. Upon arrival we were given a room having 2 standard (small) sized beds, The room was barely large enough for 2 beds. When I asked for larger room, I was required to pay 40+ more. Room was dark, Bath is tiny. Breakfast was bare minimum. I went to look for a better hotel. When I returned to check out, the clerk told me he would give me a larger room for same price. Too late. We relocated. WE will not use this property again.

We asked for a room on the top floor as we were staying over New Year’s Eve and were concerned about noise. We were assigned a large corner king suite with a couch. It was very quiet and the bed was very comfortable. We stayed 2 nights and didn’t have any issues. The only negative about the room is the bathroom door (pocket door) which looked really dirty and needed to be painted. You have to touch the door to close it (instead of a handle). The continental breakfast was less than average, but par for the course since COVID. The desk clerk, Ricky, was extremely helpful when we made our reservation, checking to see if they had the type of room we wanted and calling us back when he was able to accommodate us. He was very friendly during our stay and was able to find us in the Choice Hotel system rewards when I couldn’t sign on to the website.

This is in regards to my stay at the Sleep Inn, Midland, MI. We stayed on Friday July 16th and were charged 122.00 dollars, they took a 50 dollar deposit (I am hoping we get this back) and then proceeded to charge us 50 dollars for a "stained" sheet. If there was a stain, this should come with the hotel package. We always pick up our rooms and tip the housekeeper. I am requesting that we get this 50 dollars back. I have never gotten treated this way in my entire 41 years of staying at multiple hotels. If this is how this manager runs this business, I will never stay at one of these hotels ever again.
On another note: The front desk people have horrible customer service skills. They should not be in the service industry and in fact should be working behind closed doors. I will never stay here again!
Choose the hotel next to the place!

We arrived in our room to a toilet and shower that had clearly not been cleaned. Given the toilet situation alone, nobody had even checked the bathroom after the previous guests checked out. I went to the front desk and the staff member was apologetic and accommodating and immediately put us in a new room.
The "new" room also had areas that had not been cleaned in quite some time. The shower had hair from previous guests all over the shower wall, mold all over the register where AC & heat comes out, and a giant dead bug on the window that had definitely been overlooked for quite some time.
The pool was so gross, the kids went to another nearby hotel to swim in their hotel pool with a friend.
Under normal circumstances, we would have immediately left. However, we were in town for an event and there were no available hotel rooms in the area.
We saw housekeeping staff on site during our stay. I would highly suggest housekeeping staff have a training review since the basics were not covered in either room we were offered.
We stay in Midland for the same yearly event. We will not be back to stay at this hotel, and I would highly suggest any other hotel in the area before you book here.

After a long day of driving I decided it was time to find a hotel and get some rest. I got there about 11:15pm on Saturday July 18th 2020 the man at the desk was very friendly and made check in quick and easy! (I think he could tell I was exhausted) the price was fair. This was my first hotel stay since the covvid-19 so I was a little uneasy about the cleanliness of the room, I was impressed and happy when I walked into the room and it was spotless! (I also felt like it was clean) which made me very comfortable. The room was well organized and had everything I needed (fridge,microwave,iron,etc..) the next morning I was greeted by friendly staff throughout the hotel as I left! Again I thank the staff, for a great experience. I will stay there again and I will recommend “The Sleep Inn” to anyone I know staying in Midland!

Hello! I travel for a living and have stayed in hundreds of hotels/motels/airbnbs and this institution at Midland, MI has to be the WORST.
The front desk guy, Kenny, has the worst demeanor and manners and will absolutely not listen to a word you say. He should be fired immediately and never allowed to work in customer service ever.
Everyone, please heed my words and do not stay here! The service from everyone I've met here has been the worst I've ever experienced.

John, I am sorry you are unsatisfied with the service provided by our staff. We pride ourselves in providing a comfortable and safe environment for our guests, the health and safety of our staff and guests is our top priority. Unfortunately we are facing a pandemic and have to enforce mandates handed down to us by government authorities. During these unprecedented times, we ask for your support and cooperation so that we can remain open and continue to serve our future guests. The more control we take today, the sooner we can get back to normal. We want to return to our full service offerings too! With you help, we can get there. Safe travels!

Floors in our room were filthy, light in shower was filthy, called ahead to make sure the pool was open and was told it was. Get here and it's "closed for maintenance". No discounts or other compensation given. Super unhappy with our stay here and won't be back.
