I absolutely love the Grand Harbor Inn. We stay there every February while competing in the Toboggan Nationals, and we love it because it’s beautiful, comfortable, and a very short walk to town where there are restaurants and shops and a park overlooking the harbor. We’ve stayed in four different suites at the Grand Harbor and have loved all of them. The beds are wonderful with high quality linens and each has 4 luxurious pillows that are the most comfortable pillows I’ve ever used. The pillows are SO NICE!!! The bathrooms in the suites are amazing, with large jetted tubs and glass-walled rainfall showers. Everything is very clean. The staff have always been friendly and helpful, and they have cookies in the lobby in the afternoons. The suites where we’ve stayed all had balconies and gas fireplaces. Some of the suites have nicer views than others. Some overlook the harbor directly and others face the waterfall, parking lot, and town. We most recently stayed in room 7 (the Two Queen Grand Suite) which doesn’t have the views of the Curtis Island Suite or Grand Waterfront Suites, but there are large windows along one wall that face the waterfall and town (and parking lot) and we loved all the light they let in. We especially liked that you can close a pocket door between the living room area and bedroom. Parking is sometimes challenging but that’s the only thing I can think of about Grand Harbor that isn’t perfect.

The Inn is located directly on the waterfront. My hubby and I had a harborview with a balcony. The furniture and balcony were spotless. The king bed was clean with plenty of pillows and the linens were soft. The bathroom was large and had every accommodation. Heated fan, ambient light for night, bright for day. The shower was roomy with all the nozzles you could desire. I even used the jacuzzi tub. The people at the inn were professional and very attentive to us. People watching from the balcony was a good time. We are going to go back to Camden just to stay at Grand Harbor Inn it was that good.

Beautiful and comfortable suite with gorgeous views! We loved every moment of our stay. The weather was gloomy so we sat in front of the cozy fire and basked in beautiful views of Camden Harbor and the mountains. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and private. I do think in the summer it would feel less private, but there are lovely drapes for privacy and light, so it probably would not be an issue. The staff was professional and kind and efficient- we truly enjoyed having breakfast delivered to our room every morning. I’m writing this from our room and never want to leave, so we will be back as soon as possible. Did I mention that this hotel is within walking distance to lots of fabulous restaurants, coffee places, shops and lovely walks? Delightful!

Grand Harbor Inn is amazing. The entire property was immaculately clean and well maintained. Our suite was so comfortable and roomy. We had a beautiful view of the harbor. The breakfast was delicious each day and we loved the privacy of having it served in our suite. The staff are very very helpful and friendly, offering us ideas on restaurants and things to do and see. We would definitely stay here again the next time we are in the area.

We have always stayed at this property when in Camden. Its at least 3-4 times) The HUGE plus is, it's right on the Harbor, so the views are great! This time we were disappointed. First, our fireplace didn't work! Maintenance came and it still didn't work! Breakfast was good, but they never added the extra cream or sugar I requested for our coffee. Quiche was always cold. Same Blueberry muffin every day! and those were not as good as they once were either. While the rooms are spacious, in my opinion...this property is in need of a MAJOR update! It just looks tired and rundown these days. Some of furnishings are certainly showing it, too.

Dear rdjtjm, While I am saddened to read your review score, I am pleased to receive the feedback as it helps us grow. I do apologize for the fireplace malfunction, something which needed to be ordered due to the failure of the pilot mechanism. This indeed affected your stay and a few guests thereafter and it hurts us to know this great part of your experience was missed during your stay. Thank you for your breakfast comments... the greatest start to any day is a satisfying cup of coffee, made exactly the way you like it and we missed the mark here with your request for extra cream. While we do only warm the quiche as traditionally it is served room temp or slightly chilled, I will share your comments with our culinary team as well. Maybe even something as simple and impactful as a temperature option on our order cards. Over the years we have brought nuances to the rooms but allowing the original purposeful aesthetic of aged leather continue to be a part of the rooms. This does not ignore the fact that other areas of update or refreshening should occur and a thorough review of this is ongoing and scheduled for off season improvements. Again, while it saddens me to receive a low score, I am grateful for the opportunity to grow that you have allowed us here through your review. I only wish we could have connected on this in person versus after the fact as we strive to make connections with our lasting guests. I can only hope that you please accept my apoloigy and that we have the ability to continue our warm welcome during your next stay in Camden. Sincerely, Erick Anderson General Manager

We returned to Camden to celebrate our anniversary. Grand Harbor Inn is in an ideal location- we were able to walk to most restaurants and other places in town and the hotel had plenty of parking. Our room overlooked the schooners and bay - not sure if I would have been as happy if we had overlooked the parking lots or Camden hills - and we enjoyed sitting on our balcony and watching the harbor activity (though the flower boxes could have used a little refreshing). Breakfast being delivered to our room each morning was a really nice plus - and very good food, too, though quantities were a little inconsistent from day to day (one day a full pot of coffee, next day only a cup for example). The room itself was well appointed and comfortable and the fireplace added some nice ambience (and heat when it cooled down at night). Also a nice bathroom with heater and jacuzzi tub. The staff was helpful though not chatty (not a bad thing but also a bit odd when we checked out not to be asked how everything was for example). Overall a few little things to iron out but a great place to stay and we’d stay there again.

Dear Howard, Thank you so much for your sincere and detailed review of your recent stay at Grand Harbor Inn. I apologize for the inconsistencies regarding your breakfast. Also, we strive to deliver remarkable customer service throughout your stay and I see we missed the mark at check-out, as we definitely should have engaged more to see how your stay was. We may have let our flower boxes go a bit longer than they should have, for the summer season, but the petunias have all been pulled as summer has definitely come to a close and the cool, fall weather has begun. I truly am happy that despite the few misses, you were able to enjoy all that Grand Harbor Inn has to offer. We very much look forward to welcoming you back and hitting all the marks on your next stay with us. Sincerely, Ashley Guest Services Manager

Nine nights in heaven….and it still was not long enough. The harbour view suite was very special with day long activity just below our balcony. So much to watch. The rooms are very comfortable and serviced well. Breakfast is served in the room which allows more harbour watching. Continental breakfast but very nice. One of the best things about the hotel is its location. Not just on the harbour but right in the centre of Camden with an array of restaurants within walking distance. Some of these are excellent but need booking some weeks in advance in busy season. Despite being very central the hotel has parking right outside and although there is no bar in the building the sister hotel next door has two. Can not fault our stay. Just wonderful.

Absolutely outstanding except for breakfast. Would have been 5 stars if their breakfast was handled better. I get they don’t have a kitchen/restaurant on site but they deliver what is virtually a continental breakfast to your room (nice touch to the room but)…selection was poor, not described well, i.e. pastry was in fact a muffin. And just wasn’t appealing. Other than that, room and location was fantastic. Room suite (not sure if they are all suites), but it was great, fireplace, comfortable furniture, nice balcony with view of water, bed was great, just perfect in every respect.

Great location by the waterfront in the down town area. Close to all the restaurants. Parking can be a bit tight, but the hotel has reserved parking spaces which are blocked off. Coffee and cookies are available in the lounge. great sized room, clean and modern. The only negative thing is that the included breakfast is quite basic.....the menu has all these fancy names such as artisan pastries which in reality is just a muffin! In fact I think they should stop providing breakfast as we just went out and got our own!

Dear Anaes20, Thank you for your review of Grand Harbor Inn. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Our included continental breakfast is meant to be a "good start breakfast", small, light and healthy that gets you ready for the day. As our scratch-made, Maine blueberry muffins are quite popular, we are looking at changing up the daily fresh baked item during the week to add a bit more variety. Thank you again for the great feedback. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future. Sincerely, Ashley, Guest Services Director
