Gracious Historic Bed and Breakfast - 4 suites w/ private entrances from lovely porches - all with private baths. Lovely porches, pool, hot tub, wireless internet, cable TV - in room microwave, refrigerator, coffee service. Continental Plus breakfast provided in suite. Located in downtown historic district - walk to all the shops and restaurants right from our door. Bikes available for Tammany Trace 30 mile bike path.
The hostess is wonderful but the place is run down. It could be beautiful again with some work. I love B and B's but will stay in a hotel for my future visits. Rotting floorboards covered with tape and painted over. Carpets not clean. It is so sad because the couple that owns this place have been in business for so long and I am sure the place used to be so wonderful.

We booked this bed and breakfast for a three night staycation. The reviews and website were promising. Our room was located in the front of the house and had a private entrance from the front porch. Check in was no contact. The king room was a nice size and had an attached twin sunroom area. It was raining so I sat in the sunroom. The room was infested with gnat like bugs. The room smelled of seafood, which was explained was the Thieves cleaner. The shower had burst pipes this past January, 7 months ago. The repairs were made but instead of tile, duct tape was used on the shower wall then painted over. The shower pan has separated from the surround so the water drains into the floor boards which are rotted. A shag rug is glued over the rotting area. When we stepped out of the shower, we stepped onto soft floor with a rug that is not cleaned between guests. This room should not be booked until the proper repairs are completed and inspected by code enforcement. The pool is clean but the deck is rotting. The hot tub was drained. Next to the pool is a storage area for various household broken items. The front porch is lovely but the roaches do come out at night. Breakfast is pastries, quiche, juice, fruit and is very nice. Linda is a very nice lady but this place has gotten away from them. Perhaps the back rooms are in better condition. The front room was very noisy and bright at night. I would not recommend this room.…

My wife and I celebrated our 49th Wedding Anniversary here and enjoyed ever moment. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning and Linda was a wonderful and very knowledgeable hostess. We enjoyed our beautiful room overlooking the pool. It was so cozy and relaxing just rocking on the beautiful porch and chilling with a cold beverage.

Camellia House Bed and Breakfast is located in the heart of old Covington. The location alone would make it an attraction for out-of-towners, but add to this the friendly hosts and their knowledge of the area and you have the winning hand for travelers. There is a pool for hot summer days and a a hot tub in its own gazebo for a pleasant evening soak. The rooms are decorated with an eclectic mix of period pieces and functional objects, and free wi-fi is provided as well as numerous cable TV channels. This location is walkable to all of downtown Covington.

As soon as you enter Camellia House, all 5 of your scenes are pleasantly stimulated; the enchanting aroma of the garden and essential oils, the sound of the birds chirping and the water of the pool, the warmth you feel from Linda's inviting personalty, the room is so visually appealing with the touches of home. I saved taste for last, because every morning, my husband and I woke up to the most fresh and delicious breakfast. Covington is now our secret get away spot, home away from home. Linda and Don are now like family to us. We can't wait to go back! Camellia House is definitely a Bed and Breakfast unlike any other.

I felt at home from the first moment. Linda is a wonderful hostess! She made me feel like family. I really enjoyed our chat about the history of this beautiful home. My room was so comfortable. But my favorite was sitting on my balcony, relaxing with a beverage, and overlooking the pool. I look forward to my next visit.

Cozy room, with great added touches. Our room was on the second floor facing pool, we sat on the porch balcony each morning listening to the sound of water trickling into the pool. Very tranquil and relaxing. Fresh homemade pastries, juice, flowers, etc. She thought of every little detail.

This place was amazing!! My boyfriend (husband) now took me here for an evening after not seeing each other for 7 days due to our work schedules. This was just what we both needed! The pool and hot tub were amazing, although it was a little chilly for the pool that time of year. The ambiance just made it so relaxing. The deck was amazing to sit/lay on the chairs and just look up at the sky. I did not want to leave! We are definitely planning on going back. We visited maybe March 2017.. I can't recall the exact date, but the travel field below was mandatory, but it only went as far back as August 2017.

We went in to Covington for the annual Chel's Soiree. The Camellia House Bed and Breakfast was perfectly located- walking distance to shopping and restaurants and all the charm of downtown Covington. The rooms were great and comfortable. The food was fantastic. And Linda is a gem!
