Although the hotel warned us that they were undergoing a "facelift" that was only 3 days before we arrived. And it transpired that the hotel is virtually closed with the renovation works. We had to compete for the elevators with the workmen hauling wheelbarrows! Staff were charming, and location is good but definitely not value for money in its current state.

This Place was amazing to me and my bestfriend. We were getting on the flixbus sunday and It so happen to have broke down so I had to make adjustments to get a hotel. I called around and this was the only hotel who would let me check in even though It was already after check in hours. I paid for two nights and It was affordable with no deposit. $155 cant beat that on last minute. Our stay was amazing. And 304 girls … this is the place you want to be at, the staff is sweet and but know how to mind your business without minding your business if you catch my drift on that. Will def stay here again!

We went Thanksgiving week and have been IHG rewards members for 10 years. We get a text two days prior to arrival that it was being renovated-a little late to change accommodations. We arrive and ask for water-there were no waters available in the machines or on the premises our 3 day stay. Restaurant closed so we walked to the Hilton which was pricey. The air went out on Saturday. The shower floors had black and when water came on it was nasty. The construction was noisy as was the air. The chips we got from the vending machine were 6 months old. We had to pay for parking due to construction $33 a night-no breakfast-the room was tiny. Unacceptable that we got no perk due to the inconvenience.

We only stayed one night but found it to be pretty average. The hotel was undergoing renovations so it was a bit of a dead zone when we were there. The room was a bit pokey and the Airconditioning was noisy and annoying. There was nowhere nearby to eat and the location was very ordinary. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Unclean, rundown hotel. The bed sheets and every towel had visible stains on them. The shower and A/C unit smelled of mildew. They appear to be refilling the shampoo and conditioner bottles because they were already dirty with dried on soap on the outside. Awkward layout with the fridge and microwave not placed against the flat wall. Overall a very disappointing stay for what we paid and expected.

The hotel is historic and very unique. Parking is basically valet only. The rooms are small but are built into the original framework. It was nice and I couldn’t complain! For those reasons, I give it average. There are lots of dining options around and the capital is a short walk away.

Needs work. IHG platinum customer. Man at the desk was very nice, offered a free drink at a bar that never opened. Restaurant never opened. Carpet in the 3rd floor hall is absolutely appalling; filthy and covered with bleach stains. Room itself was clean but very small; no fridge or microwave, no reading chair. We were charged $29 to park in a run-down, not secured, unsafe lot next to a burned-out building. Location was great; walkable to the arena for a hockey game. Would not stay there again due to general condition and rip-off parking.

Perfectly good experience in the hotel in very central Baton Rouge. Rooms excellent with very comfortable beds. Reception very polite, and always there to help. Baton Rouge is a very compact town so best to be very central, and there are plenty of things on the hotel's doorstep.

The Hotel Indigo has a great location in downtown Baton Rouge. It's within walking distance of pretty much everything to do and see, including museums, the convention center, bars/restaurants, and office buildings. While IHG's Hotel Indigo brand is supposed to be an upper-upscale full-service, boutique-inspired brand, the Hotel Indigo in Baton Rouge felt more like a generic Holiday Inn Express or Fairfield Inn. No doorman or bellman. No offer of assistance with luggage. No newspapers. Bar doesn't open until 4pm, which means you can't get a drink until then. There's no all-day F&B nor is there a pantry or gift shop selling non-alcoholic drinks and snacks. So I couldn't even get a bottle of Diet Coke. The restaurant wasn't open for dinner when I stayed because the hotel lost its kitchen staff or staff members. At breakfast, the restaurant was very basic. There's no real table service. The breakfast menu consists of three or four egg options with all orders placed at the counter. No coffee refills and the orange juice is sugary orange juice from a mini-bottle. No oatmeal, no fresh berries and fruit, no yogurt, etc. There were some breakfast pastries at the counter but they looked old.  The atmosphere and food quality at Starbucks or McDonald's is better. The public spaces and guest rooms were very old and tired with extensive wear-and-tear. At the minimum, carpet in the hallways needs replacement as does some of the furniture in guest rooms. There are no USB outlets in the room. Only two or three accessible electrical outlets to charge assorted devices. That's just not acceptable in the year 2022. The clock-radio had iPod/iPhone docking capability ... maybe 10 or 12 years ago. We're talking like an iPhone 3 technology. No water was provided in the room. The mini-fridge and microwave were just haphazardly placed on the floor against a wall. The air conditioning unit was horrible. If you turned it on, the room was freezing even with the temperature set at 68 or 70 degrees. It never seemed to go on auto and stop running. I had to shut it off and sleep in a room that was about 73-74 degrees. I was woken up at several points during the night by what felt like earthquakes. I assume it was the elevator behind my room. Despite requesting a room away from the elevator, I was placed in a room right next to the elevator. The bathroom was dirty. Mold or mildew throughout shower. Old tiles that needed regrouting. Hair on face towels and throughout the floor of the walk-in shower. Everything just looked old and outdated. More like a dorm or locker room bathroom than an upscale boutique hotel brand. No mouthwash or other toiletries in the room. No bathrobe or slippers. The gym was well-equipped but, like everything else, was outdated. The equipment was a couple generations outdated. The general manager was apologetic and compensated me with a significant number of IHG points. While that was gracious of him, the fact remains that the hotel is old and outdated. Hopefully, it will be renovated as the location is great and the hotel itself has tremendous potential.
