It is hard to find fault with the Hilton Chicago Magnificent Mile suites, but it is also difficult to find anything exceptional to say about this hotel. Located adjacent to the John Hancock tower and within easy reach of Oak street beach and the Magnificent Mile, it is a good place to stay with access to the Chicago red line underground about a 10 minute walk away. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful, and the concierge located outside the front entrance was the same. Inside, the hotel there were 29 floors with a reasonable sized swimming pool on the 29th floor (open from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM). My bedroom was large and spacious with a good-sized, king-size bed, a bath and shower a fridge, coffee making facility, (but no kettle) a sofa and easy chair together with plenty of wardrobe space for clothes. There was a flat screen TV, a hair dryer an iron and an ironing board. The room was serviced daily and everything about the fittings was new, clean and good. However, the reason I have only rated this hotel average is because there was no restaurant and everything else about the hotel was completely vanilla! For example, there was no information in the room about the hotel facilities only a QR code to scan. I received several emails from the hotel suggesting that I download their app in order to make my check in quicker and several others confirming my stay and sending me an invoice. Staying in this hotel felt like it completely soulless experience with minimal personal contact. If bland anonymity is what you want when you pay well over $131 a night this could be the place for you, but what marks out an excellent hotel from an average one is something a bit different and a bit personal. This hotel lacked both.

Jose and Cara were very helpful. We had to call down for batteries and John came up with the quickness. Colleen did have to bring the correct batteries, but it was so quick Colleen saved the day!! Will return to this Hotel while in Chicago.

It's your average hotel. We didn't know where the pool was. On the 11th or 12th floor I think? We asked the front desk & they looked at us strange! No hot tub though if that's your jam. The room was quiet. We had a spectacular view. We ran out of coffee so went to lobby by coffee maker to refill. They have 24/7 coffee but no free breakfast. There's grocery stores & shopping close by and many attractions are a short bus ride away. If you bring up directions on your phone, it'll tell you what bus route or train to take. I felt safe and if we got lost, locals gave directions. We were able to see a lot in a short time staying here. I don't know if it was worth the $. Google TV was built in so that helped us stream our own media. There's nothing included, few amenities & the restaurant was $$$. We didn't have a car so can't review parking. You hear traffic but it's not terrible and you'll still be able to sleep. That's part of the experience of staying in the city, anyway. Be warned, everything is locked, including elevator and bathroom on first level, so you'll need your key. I'm glad we paid extra for view.

Stay away... you are being warned by a Hilton Gold Member and frequent traveler. This particular hotel does NOT take its guests or members seriously, and definitely does NOT value their money spent. Too many issues to name and the hotel is NOT worth my time naming them all. Hilton needs to remove this particular hotel from its chain.

This hotel has been our “Go-To” for years! Clean, courteous and much more. One of the main reasons we love it is because of location, location, location…..ESPECIALLY the Weber Grill Restaurant! We chose to eat every meal there during our stay which is typical. The two things I’d point out is the bed was a bit rough and the parking ramp is $65 a day (24 hours) so it was an additional $124. Not mission critical for us but worth pointing out for others. Happy New Year!

Our stay was a disappointment. I've been a Hilton Honors member for decades and I've never written a negative review.  My friend flew in from New York to meet me in Chicago to celebrate Christmas. We reserved/confirmed a two-double bed room and ended up with a king and rollaway for four days, wifi wasn't accessible for a couple of days.  One morning I went to the restaurant to have a cup of coffee and read to be told they were closed from 11 am to noon, so I returned to the lobby to have a complimentary coffee except there was no coffee that morning because the coffee machine wasn't working. The next morning, we arrived at 9:45 am to use our breakfast certificates to learn that the restaurant was closing breakfast early.  We had parking issues too that were corrected. The fitness center, pool, and staff were great. In the scheme of things, probably not huge problems, but not Hilton brand quality.

Really friendly staff as always, room clean with windows that open as well as AC. Weber grill on the ground floor serves excellent food in the evenings and breakfast is available there too. Wifi connected well and was a good speed. Never had to wait for an elevator.

Location location location! Prepare to be in the middle of everything! L stop at the building as well. Hotel was great! Friendly staff, clean building, a place to smoke, and the location!!!! I'd stay here every visit. Starbucks--Dunkin--restaurants galore--casino--shopping! It was a treat to stay here. Just check the in-room keurig to make sure it is clean

The hotel is fine. Parking is very expensive and based on my experiences it was complicated for the staff. The area was busy and felt safe. There is a Weber Grill attached to the hotel. Elevators were fast. Staff were mix of nice and indifferent. The room was very nice. No complaints except lighting was not enough. The bathroom was modern. I did not like the shower as it felt too narrow and the grab bar made it worse.

Nick, the front desk supervisor, was professional the entire time, although I was in quite a conundrum. Arriving from Paris on thanksgiving day with only Euro, every currency exchange was closed, outside of the one at Ohare. Once you leave the international airline terminal, you cannot return inside. Nick thoroughly helped me navigate my booking through a 3rd party with patience, empathy & understanding. The room was beautiful, spacious; even more the location is perfect if you would rather not rent a vehicle.
