Detailed Reviews
I have never done a review, but Eagle's Nest was exceptional. Clean room, custom handcrafted accessories with lodge style furnishings and tastefully accented with a wildlife theme. Friendly, welcoming hospitality from the moment we entered the office. The Jacuzzi room gifted us with an amazing view overlooking the Pend Oreille (pronounced Pond O Ray) River and mountains rising up on the other side. Sipping a.m. coffee outside our room, we appreciated the slow rolling river and surrounding creation. Sean, the owner/operator, was a huge value to our stay that we had not anticipated. Super helpful! When we requested recommendations for dinner and activities in the area, he immediately had options for us for several eating spots that we were well pleased with and an amazing kayak trip at Priest Lake. We enjoyed our stay at Eagle's Nest so much that after our first night at Sandpoint, our next destination, we canceled and rebooked the remaining 2 nights back at Eagle's Nest on the Pend Oreille River. In the words of my wife "A very cute place".

I stayed at the Eagles Nest Motel for 5 days on a solo hiking trip and I loved it, highly recommend! It's close to amazing hikes in the Priest Lake area, hikes north of PL near Nordman as well as Sandpoint so it's a very convenient location to have a home base while out exploring. I loved the bear and rustic decor inside and outside of the motel, fits the area! My room was very clean with comfy bed and pillows, I treated myself to a jacuzzi room since I was doing a lot of hiking and the jacuzzi tub was amazing after a long day of hiking and they even provided a small container of bath salts, such a nice touch. The view from the back of hotel is wonderful, you can see the river and there are some table and chairs as you take in the view. The guy who checked me in was very friendly and helpful, it was nice to have access to coffee and snacks even after the office was closed. I will definitely stay here next time I'm in this area, as a female solo hiker, I felt safe at this motel.

There aren't any kowtowing doormen or obsequious elevator attendants (or elevators) or that sort of thing. But what are you expecting? This is a small motel in a small town in northern Idaho.
It's called the Eagle's Nest, but the overall theme is actually bears. There are carved bears, sayings about bears, decorations about bears, etc. The lobby is stuffed with hunting trophies and the like.
The rooms are clean, quiet, and when the shades are pulled, dark. My room had 2 queen beds, a refrigerator, coffee machine, microwave, hairdryer, and lots of towels and toiletries. There are several restaurants, a grocery store, and a hardware store within a block.
I look forward to staying here on my next trip to Priest River.

Don't be fooled that this is and older building. We stayed in 6 different rooms with family from 4 different states. This motel is very clean, down to the baseboards clean. It appears everything in the room is brand new, sinks, counters, carpet, shower. I really liked being able to park directly outside of our room's door. the outside, walking around the building/property was also very clean. I walked several times to the office and ice machine, also very clean. The couple that run the motel are kind and engaging, offering restaurant and shopping suggestions when asked. I would absolutely stay here again.

This is a great place to stay and these are nice people to deal with. The rooms are rustic, pleasant and well appointed. There is a large parking lot and a restaurant just around the corner. They offer pet friendly rooms as well as a Jacuzzi suite, but the other rooms are as comfortable as can be, The outside features a gallery of chainsaw carved bears which are just one more amenity.

Friendly greeting at reception, lovely well looked after place botch inside and out. Extremely clean and everything well finished so you know it will be the same if you return in several years time. Comfy bed, good shower. If you go around the back of the place there is a patio area and several outside bench seats where you can sit and admire the view or have something to eat or a drink. Although it is near a main road it is pretty quiet at night. Everyone very friendly and you get the impression people just come back here year on year. You can walk to a bar/restaurant almost next door calledSettlement Kitchen which has great food, beer and wine. They do not offer breakfast but plenty of places around. Had a lovely nights stop here in a very friendly place would definetly recommend.

We loved our stay at the Eagles Nest! The room was spotless. The minute we stepped through the door, we felt like we were at a lovely little lodge in the woods. Recently remodeled, the owners did an amazing job to create an upscale feel inside and out. The owners, a young couple and their family, are warm, friendly and very accommodating to their guests. We will definitely be back! And next time, maybe we'll stay in the jacuzzi suite!

Called to cancel a room and they said not a big deal they could fill the space. When I went in an paid they said I had to pay even though the owner told me twice not to worry about it. I wouldn’t have cared if they would have just told me upfront instead of changing their minds later.

This is a terrific property to stay at while in the Priest River area. It"s a smaller spot but was exceptionally clean and well maintained. There were carved bears throughout the property which kids, and adults, would like. The owner was on site and was a pleasure to talk to. There is a sitting and river viewing area directly behind the motel. A great stay.

We traveled from Nevada for 10 hours and made it to McCall, Idaho, stayed over night and planned on travelling the last 5 hours to Eagles nest in the morning to stay for 4 days. We were woken up by a phone call at 6am telling us that my mother had been found unresponsive in her home and she passed away, it was very unexpected. I called the hotel to tell them that we had a family emergency, that my mother passed away and we needed to turn around and go back home so I needed to cancel our reservation. The gentleman that answered the phone was so rude and just said we owed money for a night since we are cancelling so last minute. The lack of compassion and rudeness, we would never ever consider staying here again. Yes, they charged us that day. Im disgusted with all of it but the behavior , I found it disgusting and would never in my business treat a family this way.

First of all we are sorry for your loss. Our front desk wasn't rude, he just let you know our policy. I wouldn't expect you to stay with us, but you need to understand, when a person makes a reservation, the purpose of a reservation is to commit on both sides to hold the room. If roles were reversed and we cancelled on you last minute, for any reason, you would also be upset. We need proper time for cancelations, so we can rent the rooms to someone else. We are once again sorry for your loss, but this review is a little out of line.
