What a fantastic place. The views to die for the location excellent and the house just fantastic. Travelling as two couples this property provided the best with two bedrooms one at each end. The hosts were excellent. The pantry beyond belief. The place made for a great base for the northern Tasmania exploration. We will return

A unique and beautiful space created thoughtfully for comfort and relaxation. We stopped by for 2 nights at the end of our trip to Tassie. Lovely host. We visited as a couple but I can see the space working brilliantly for 2 couples. Bring your supplies as you won't want to leave :). We highly recommend.

We (two couples) thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very clean and comfortable accommodation, and the view is 11/10. Beautiful native timber throughout. Fantastic spot which completely embodies the term ‘retreat’.

Thank you for such a fabulous stay. We loved the view, the facility and the wine was really nice as well. We sat back with the wine and relaxed on the veranda looking at the view and enjoyed seeing all the bird life and cattle. It was just what we needed. The bed was so so comfortable and we did enjoy all of the facilities including the spa bath along with the view from it and the bedroom. I could not ask for anything different as all was superb thank you. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS OUTSTANDING HOUSE AND THE SERVICE PROVIDED BY THE OWNERS.” Anthony

We had 2 wonderful nights here. The home is luxurious, appointed with quality fittings and appliances and delicious breakfast provisions. The view is breathtaking, as is the feeling we felt upon entering. Pure serene relaxation here, we chose not to leave the house at all, instead cooking a delicious meal in the modern spotlessy clean kitchen. We layed faces to the sun in the leather loungers in front of the huge unobstructed viewing window. Do not hesitate to book this place, but allow 2 nights as the day in the house is bliss. I dream of returning when we can. Such fond memories. We were also lucky enough to be here the night of the Super Blood moon on my husbands birthday. We watched snuggled together on the verandah as the moon hovered above us directly out over the ocean. Sublime.

This beautiful home sits in a very private spot overlooking Bass Strait, with incredible views from every room. As if that alone is not enough, the owners, Leonie and Ben, provide ample breakfast supplies as well as wine, cheese and fudge...a real treat! We had been without our luggage for a week, and they allowed us to meet the driver who returned it to us at the house much earlier than our scheduled arrival time, as well as offering to do anything they could to help. They communicated with him directly for us and gave him directions to the house for which we were very grateful. There is a laundry room with a nice washer and dryer, and a place to hang clothes inside, as well as a spa with the same amazing views. One of the true highlights of our entire trip was meeting the neighbors down the road who supplied us with a beautiful bouquet of flowers that we toted all over Tasmania, but I don't think that perk comes with the accommodation. While we were there we traveled from the house to nearby Narawntapu National Park during the day, and in the evening went to the Warrawee Forest Reserve in Latrobe to see platypus with Ron,( bookable through the Latrobe Visitors Centre). Both of those trips were excellent and easily reached from the house.

What a stunning location and well thought out accommodation. We used Black Rock Retreat for my girlfriends and I to stay at the night before our wedding and to get ready on the morning of our wedding. It was simply the most stunning place on the North West Coast that we could have dreamed of. Million Dollar view, beautiful atmosphere and the two separate and very private bedroom/bathroom wings made for such a wonderful experience. Thank you so much Leonie and Ben - your property is exquisite and I highly recommend this to anyone. I've stayed in some beautiful, luxury properties around the world and this was one of the best!
