The Marlin Hotel is a considerate combination of history, architecture, modern luxury and style. The cozy and welcoming nature of the hotel coupled with its South Beach location makes it the ultimate destination for those seeking a luxurious beach getaway. Situated amidst the escapade that is South Beach, the hotel is the perfect oceanside hideaway. Guests are just steps away from white sand beaches as well as must-see shopping, dining and nightlife. The hotel has recently been completely renovated and has been committed to preserving the landmark art deco building's architectural dynasty, while providing guests with unparalleled elegance and gracious service. The guestrooms and suites are luxurious and spacious, ranging from 240 to 500 square-feet and redesigned to create a home away from home, heightened by the contemporary style, custom- designed furniture and fixtures, wood floors and serene color palate. The relaxing setting extends to the spa-like bathroom that includes a rainfall shower, unique glass-enclosed wet room and therapeutic pebble floor. Each room offers exquisite attention to detail, from the hand-selected pillows and rugs to the coastal-inspired artwork that is reminiscent of Miami's tropical surroundings. No two rooms are alike but all feature state-of-the-art amenities including a 55" LED TV with surround sound, fully stocked mini bar, luxury linens, custom spa bathrobes and slippers, and blackout drapes with remote control. The hotel also offers thoughtful amenities to ensure that each stay is nothing short of perfection, including a designated maid and turndown service, laundry and dry-cleaning, transportation, continental breakfast and high-speed wireless internet. The interior of the hotel exudes opulence, while still embodying the energy and style for which it has always been known.

The Marlin Hotel is celebrated for its pristine, Art Deco elegance and spotless rooms equipped with modern touches. While some guests miss having a view, the prime location near South Beach and vibrant nightlife is a major draw, offering a serene retreat amidst the buzz. Complimentary beach gear and a quality breakfast enhance the guest experience, despite grumbles about the Resort Fee given the absence of a pool and outdoor seating. Travelers consistently laud the hotel's cleanliness and the attentive, personalized service, often giving a shout-out to friendly staff members like Nana.

Nice looking Art Deco style hotel dating back to 1939 set just back off Ocean Drive and the beach, so not so noisy or busy at night, albeit Collins Avenue is still a busy main road with some heavy traffic. Deluxe studio room was large, comfortable enough for our needs but with no view from the room we were assigned (not a problem as we were out most of the time anyway). Staff were all good, had no issues during stay and happy to recommend as a good location to explore the area if you want a traditional Miami hotel to the more modern sky scrapers. Bonus is that the Italian restaurant inside is one of the best in the area (see TA reviews) and is run as a separate business to the hotel, but they offer a generous discount as a hotel guest (at time of writing) !

The Marlin is a very nice hotel. Check in was easy. There is valet parking, which is $42 a night with drive in and out privileges. The rooms are good sized, nicely decorated, and quite comfortable. A continental breakfast is provided from 7:09-10:00. Don’t arrive at 7:00 as they might not have completely set up yet. The location is good, only a block from South Beach. A beach bag with towels is available in the room. Beach chairs are available.

We just spent 4 nights at The Marlin and had a great time. A fun art deco hotel in a great location to the beach (5 minutes and they provide chairs, brolly and towels) and in the heart of the art deco district on Ocean Drive. Don’t miss the 2 hour art deco tour done by the Miami Design Preservation League. Comfortable, period rooms which are well looked after. Hotel staff friendly and helpful and we highly rated the Italian restaurant attached to the hotel. Highly recommend and would definitely return.

It’s a small hotel and not even close to the beach. Rooms were stinky. We changed our hotel after 1st night and moved to Hilton Miami. Staff was kind enough to return the money. Not much option in breakfast.

Thanks for leaving us a review, however we do take issue with some of your comments. Our hotel is located on Collins Ave, a block from the beach, so yes, it is close to the beach, only behind Ocean Ave. Next, we are continuously praised on how clean we keep the rooms and hotel in general and have not been told they are "stinky." Again, we are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay and are happy that the team was able to refund your money.

Delicious Breakfast, beautiful rooms and clean, all staff friendly and a delicious Italian restaurant for lunch or dinner. This hotel is close to the main attractions of South Beach, you can take walks on foot, apart from the 24-hour markets, I really loved my stay, I can't wait to go back

Excellent location (5 minute walk to the beach, and countless bars and restsurants), comfortable room, friendly reception staff, useful provision of beach towels and beach umbrella. Breakfast staff not so friendly. Nevertheless, on the whole, I have no hesitation in recommending a stay at the Marlin Hotel. Very enjoyable, thank you.

the hotel is good, the rooms are very comfortable and the fact that it has beach chairs and a hat is a plus. I don't give it a 5 because unfortunately not all the employees are good. The breakfast waitress leaves breakfast missing because she is also taking her breakfast at the same time as the customers. At reception there are 2 very good employees, Nana and John, but there is a very rude employee. I asked her name and she lied, she said her name was Andreia when her real name is Paola!

The Marlin is one of the historic hotels on South Beach built in the 1930's and remodeled with modern conveniences. It is centrally located just two short blocks from the beach with restaurants and shops everywhere. The staff was excellent, friendly, and accommodating. My brother and I flew in on a red eye flight from California and arrived about 11 am tired and grouchy. The check in girl, Paola, said she would facilitate the cleaning of our room while we had breakfast a block away. When we returned, it was ready and we were so grateful for her kindness. How many places do that? It is usually, "Check in at 4 pm and don't bother me." Many thanks to Paola and the staff for making our stay memorable. Oh, by the way, this was our fourth time staying here.
