The Mango Street Inn is a quiet and cozy, 7 unit inn, located on Mango Street close to the north end of the island. We are directly across the street and close proximity to restaurants and bars located in Time Square! We provide each guests with linens, towels, and a collection of beach chairs and umbrellas to use at a first come first serve basis. We have made some great improvements since purchasing the inn last February and are excited to see what the future holds for the Mango!

I stayed in Unit 5. The location is ideal. The courtyard was great. The condo could use some care. We arrived and it must have been 90 degrees inside. The AC was set to 62. There is a note stating if you drop the AC below 70 you are subject to a $200 fine. So it's obviously a known problem so why not just fix it. Someone finally came out the next day but we were miserable until then. The kitchen light fixture has 3 bulbs. 2 burned out. Why not replace bulbs??? It was super dark. On to the bathroom....the toilet seat is completely broken in half so it pinches your butt each time you sit. Seriously, this is ridiculous. I had read about this toilet seat issue previously so obviously they have no desire to replace it. I really hated to complain because it could be an awesome place to stay but I will not be going back. I found a super cute place right up close to town, 2 bedroom for even cheaper so they will be getting my business next time.

The Inn is a nice, quiet location. Close to the beach and easy to get to Town Square. However, the inconvenience in the lack of amenities, and the gruff "hospitality " of the hosts convinced us to find a new place next year and not deal with this company. If you visit be prepared to buy dish soap, toilet paper, paper towels, coffee and tea...or bring your own. There are not enough beach chairs or umbrellas available and only one wagon to share with the other guests. There is a small grill for use that can service up to three people comfortably. Our TV wasn't working and I asked for an iron. Both calls were responded to in a timely manner. The guy we dealt with never smiled or exchanged any pleasantries and it seemed to be an inconvenience to have to deal with us. The room initially had a musty smell but was OK when it aired out. Overall, it's OK if you know what to expect. They need to provide essentials like toilet paper, though. There are other places to stay.

If you are a past guest of the Mango Street Inn and are planning to return expecting everything to be the same, you in for a rude awakening! Dan & Tree have sold the Inn to a vacation rental company. There is no more personal attention, no more gourmet breakfast, no one on site (sometimes for days) to ensure your stay is a great experience, and at a cost of $80 to $100 more per night. We have stayed at the Inn for the last 13 years and loved the owners and the Inn. We will not return, it is nothing more than a high cost, no service motel!

My sister, niece, daughter-in-law and I stayed at the Mango Street March 1 -8 2021. We booked this on the Airbnb app and although it was a bit pricey, the reviews on TripAdvisor were great. The reviews on TripAdvisor also led us to believe we would be having a complimentary gourmet breakfast every morning however that is no longer the case. Dan and Tree sold the property in Feb 2021 and there is no longer a complimentary breakfast. When talking with a couple of people who work there, we found out a corporation has purchased the Mango Street inn. Aside from that initial disappointment we had a great stay. The location is a block and a half one way from the marina, a block-and-a-half the other way from the beach and about a 10-minute walk to the main shopping/dining area. The Mango Street Inn is a collection of small cottage type condos connected by a very nice deck with cool furniture, fountains and plants. Every cottage has beach chairs, beach umbrellas and a cooler for the beach. There is one wagon for the complex that you can load and take your stuff to the beach. We had no trouble having access to the wagon. There are three bikes available for guests to use. We had a two-bedroom one-bathroom cottage and there was enough space for the four of us but it is fairly small. I'm assuming new management will make some changes and the first thing they might want to do is get new mattresses because my mattress was quite uncomfortable. The furniture is a bit dated, the kitchen is well equipped and they start you off with soap, shampoo paper towels and toilet paper but you are expected to buy your own when that runs out. There was coffee that perhaps someone left and a bowl with packets of sugar, salt and pepper. Guests have access to the laundry room and there are a couple of washers and dryers, laundry soap and it is not coin operated. Again this may change since they are under new management. Guests will find plenty of beach towels in the laundry room. In the living room there is a cabinet with several games and a couple decks of cards. We enjoyed playing games on the deck in the evening. We had a great stay, great weather and I would stay at the Mango Street Inn if I return to Fort Myers Beach.

We were at the Mango street In from October 6th-11th. This was our 4th time staying at the Mango Street Inn. We absolutely love it there. Dan and Tree Andre are the best hosts ever. They provide everything down to the coffee, and the beach chairs. The units have a full kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom and are spotless. They are beautifully decorated and extremely comfy. Dan makes a gourmet breakfast every morning except on Sundays. We will continue going to the Mango Street Inn where we feel like we are part of their family! Thank you for a wonderful time and sharing your paradise with us! John and Shauna

As the tile says, location is everything. Steps away from the beach and within walking distance of Time Square and other attractions at FMB. The hosts are great and make a fantastic breakfast. Most importantly, it is very quiet and well kept. Will visit again sometime soon....

After deciding to change up our annual summer trip to Key West this year and visit Fort Myers Beach first, we luckily came across the Mango Street Inn. My wife wanted to stay as close to the beach as possible and I wanted to make sure we were a short ride from the Key West Express ferry terminal for our early morning departure, we found the perfect spot just a 3-minute walk from the beautiful white sands at the beach and about a 5-minute ride to the ferry. Even better than the location and the very comfortable accommodations are the “host and hostess with the mostest”, Dan and Tree. As soon as we set foot on the property, we felt like we had known them for many years. Aside from the kind and friendly hospitality, Dan is a superb chef and his breakfasts served in the courtyard each morning are as creative as they are delicious. Tree goes the extra mile..or ten..to make sure guests have all they need and then some. After getting us settled in, she gave us a quick tour of our room and let us know all of the best places to eat, drink, shop, and visit within an easy walk from the Inn. As an added bonus, beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, coolers, and various sunscreens, etc., are available to guests who want to head across the street to the enjoy the sun, sand, and surf. Our quiet and comfortable room allowed us three nights of some of the most restful sleep we’ve had in quite awhile and we awoke refreshed and ready just in time for Dan’s culinary creations. The Inn’s rescue critters, Tico the dog and Flip Flop the black cat, also will check in with visitors and let you tell them your problems...if they’re in the mood to listen 😎. We’re definitely planning on returning at our earliest convenience to explore Fort Myers Beach a bit more in depth and hopefully will be fortunate enough to find availability at this fantastic little gem. Thanks again, Dan and Tree! You’re the best!👌🏼🧡🌴🌅

We couldn't have been happier with our stay at Mango Street Inn. (And I am NOT easy to please! Just check out my Expedia review of what I thought would be a similar property at Clearwater Beach 3 days later!!) Everything was exactly as described; except....., that the breakfasts were even better!!! Thank you so very much! Absolutely LOVED it!
