I think perhaps it depends on your expectations. We seemed to have several issues with Suite 3 but maybe it was just a bad week and for the price we were expecting a turnkey relaxing vacation. A few small things to consider- do not expect world class paddle boards, there is one SUP paddle that functions and two old paddle boards- kayaks seemed ok. The walk to the beach does require crossing a busy road, but once there it IS a nice beach, but you must bring all your own gear, including beach towels. There are not any beach rental chairs, etc. nearby. The wifi did not seem to work for us, the fan in the spare bedroom had a short apparently so my first night trying to sleep, it got up to 78 degrees in the room as we could not adjust the temp on the thermostat, the couch is not comfortable, the streaming buffered, so it took a couple hours to get that to work, there is a neighboring house with a large dog barking and although they warn you, I find it strange for the nightly price ($336/night!) to offer a small soap and shampoo. There is a washer, no dryer. The blankets were thin, beds were decent and the place was clean. There are no screens on any of the windows so you can't really get fresh air and there was a wasp nest above our bathroom window so definitely didn't want to leave a window ajar while showering. There is a "no refund" policy, so you are stuck there as we had wanted to check out after our first of two nights. There are not any walkable restaurants nearby. We were offered a couple of free nights to make up for all the mishaps we had. All in all, there were nice chairs and solitude by their water's edge. I could see a family enjoying the grounds and playing the outdoor games they had, but for us it was a letdown for the price. I think some people would be perfectly happy here but we had a lot of stress upon check-in and so many things not working properly.

This resort is a haven of peace and tranquillity , if you want to relax and recharge your batteries , this beautiful resort is the place to be . The room was fabulous with views across the river , we saw dolphins , pelicans , herons and although we didn't see any , was told manatees are often sighted . The room itself was luxurious , large tv , very comfortable bed and well furnished. Denise was a pleasure to deal with , nothing too much trouble and full of useful information on the area . The internet worked really well if you really need to do any work .

My daughter and I took a quick trip down to Cocoa Beach from Atlanta for some well needed water time. I ran across Banana River Resort when searching for a hotel and loved the fact that they had all the equipment we needed for surfing, paddle boarding and kayaking, and were sandwiched between the river and the beach. We expected an old Florida, no frills motel. What we got was a modern, well designed boutique hotel experience with top notch service. I have not stopped talking about this place to anyone who will listen. We caught them on the first week of the reopening so everything was brand new and clean. Each unique themed suite has a full kitchen, comfortable bed and plenty of functional space. The grounds include several common areas with beautiful views, an outdoor fireplace and fun bean bag seating. I travel ALOT for business and pleasure and this is by far my new favorite get-a-way. Thanks to Kristen and Emily for making us feel like family.

Great spot for an anniversary stay. Older, but very well kept, and in a great location for both the riverside and the beach. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Hammocks at water’s edge. Great dock. Bonfire. Full kitchen was useful even with plenty of good restaurants near by.

I just got back from Kalama Kamp (a stand up paddle event) at Banana River Resort. The Resort was a perfect location for a group. We were right on the water, with dock and boat ramp access. There were 13 of us, including the Kalama Kamp crew. We stayed in the Main House and a few apartments. We dined together in the Main House for every meal and used it used it as a meeting house. At night we gathered by the waterside fire pit. Zach and Steph (the resort staff) were very nice and run a great place. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable after a long day of paddling. The river was beautiful. We explored the nearby mangroves. The water was mostly waist to chest high for several hundred yards in front of the Resort. We saw a few dolphins and Zach reassured me that he had never seen an alligator. I’m looking forward to coming back! It would be a great place to stay for a family visit to Cape Canaveral or if you were getting on a cruise ship at Port Canaveral.

We love everything about this place and we'll be back for sure. We stayed in #1 with our two year old and the lounge area around the corner was a perfect spot to relax while she was napping. Special thanks to Zach and Stephanie who are great hosts!

Loved this place. I stayed at the Banana River Resort sometime in 2015 for a solo vacation and felt completely safe and welcome. I think they've remodeled since I was there, but my little suite was the coolest. Kitchen, huge bathroom, king sized bed, small tv room and second-floor balcony with a cute little patio set. Sunsets on the balcony overlooking the river and sunrises on Cocoa beach just across the street was exactly what I needed on my long weekend vacation. Thanks Banana River Resort! I've been wanting to go back since my stay there, currently thinking about bringing a few friends down for a birthday weekend in October!

Just had the best family weekend at BRR! Managers Zach and Stephanie were very accommodating, yet giving us plenty of privacy. Zach took me out in a kayak at night to experience the rivers' magical bioluminescence! It was incredible. Can't wait to go back with my California kids when they visit Florida next. Thank you for such a memorable weekend!

I stayed here with my family for 2 nights after a busy week at Disney World before going on to The Keys. We really wished we had booked longer. The unit had everything you need and the outside shared areas are great, including hammocks and amazing sunsets over the river. The beautiful, empty beach is literally across the road. Hosts Zach and Stephanie couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. Book in and chill out!

My husband, two kids( under 2) and MIL had such a wonderful time here!! Super convenient for a nursing mama that wanted to surf as much as possible. The boards and beach are so close. We also paddle boarded with our son and chased a dolphin in the river. Zach and Stephanie are such kind joyful people, they were so helpful. Our son loved it here, lots of hammocks, decks, and even a sweet bunny he loved to feed little snacks.Would like to keep this place our little secret, but that just wouldn't be right! So fun!!
