Booked it for a quick stop knowing we would be in the area late and not wanting to travel on. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable. Beyond that, lots of signs of wear and tear everywhere. Bathroom was so tiny, it took a little contortion to close the door if you wanted to use the toilet. Absolutely minimalist approach to toiletries and towels -- we had booked a room for three and clearly no effort made to accommodate. Worst was that on a hot and humid evening the air conditioner in room was as loud as a jet engine. We ran it to cool the room down but then had to shut it off because no one could sleep in that noise -- and when we arrive the office was closed so we had no option to switch room. Included breakfast was unappetizing and there was no place to eat it... We skipped and will skip the Newbury Inn in the future.…

Clean enough, but our non smoking room stank of cigarettes and mold. Location is fine, but not really close to anything. The real problem here is that the manager is unbelievably rude and unhelpful. We booked a stay here through Expedia. Neither the service nor the motel confirmed the booking. So about an hour prior to our arrival, we made a second booking with Booking.com, just in case. When we arrived, the woman at the desk informed us that because we had booked within 24 hours of our stay, no part of either booking could be refunded. The end. We called Expedia, who still have no record of our booking, and Booking.com, who attempted to call the Inn and negotiate on our behalf. On checkout, the manager: - shouted at my wife - claimed he didn’t have a receipt because the room was booked through Expedia - found the receipt and refused to show it to us - insisted on showing us only the Expedia reference # - finally gave up and showed us the full receipt, showing that the Inn had billed us directly. Honestly, I don’t really care about all that. What I care about is a motel refusing to refund an obviously mistaken booking, being obstinate and rude about it, and then shouting at a customer about having no obligation to produce a receipt. Awful experience. Never coming back. …

Don't think we would stay here again. Although it was clean, amenities were sparse, no tissues, limited pillows, minimal toiletries, etc. And don't count on them for breakfast, it was served from a closet-like space with only bagels, bread, two cereals and coffee. One large table in the lobby to sit at to eat. No juice, no water, no fruit, no pastries. The manager came in (barefoot) to give us butter and cream cheese. Apparently we interrupted his morning yoga. Glad we were only there for one night.

I had to wait for someone to show up at the desk and my check-in was rushed. I never got a WiFi password. The room was comfortable enough and the price quite reasonable, so I’d probably come back. The area is a bit off-the-beaten-path, so there aren’t too many options.

Horrible. Turn away don't go in. Looks nice and cozy from outside. Don't be tricked! Back sliding door handles are broken some won't even lock. I did some work from my hotel and was constantly being bit by bugs. Lots or spiders and other insects in room.

We visit here a couple times a year. We booked online this time. Sue, the front desk clerk, recognized our name and remembered that my husband has a bad back. She booked us on the bottom floor. The hotel is clean, safe and quiet

Stayed here while running the Jack Bristol Ultra Marathon. They were extremely accommodating with my sistuation, offering a nicer quiet room. Only critique I’d offer is I wish the room had hooks to hang my towels and or jackets. Room 34! Thank you for everything

My wife and I like to visit the Elephant's Trunk flea Market in New Milford on occasion. We usually stay at the Newbury Inn as it is convenient to get to and fairly close to the Flea market. We have never had any issues with this place until now. The apparently have new management who apparently doesn't care about customer service. When we booked our room we were quoted a price much higher than any of the "booking" sites. I did manage to get the price down. Also they never told me of the $100.00 deposit they now require. Really. If they spent $100.00 fixing up the place in the past year it would be a miracle. They had no wake-up call service and when I inquired about leaving our things there until we were finished at the flea market ( at the most an additional 2 hours) we were told that it would cost $50.00. I let them know what I thought and told them to forget it. Oblivious desk clerk and greedy management.…

The hotel is very well-run and very comfortable in every way. This is our second time staying at this property. Steve the front desk manager was so very helpful before and during our stay. We first were coming in for the an event, then had to stay due to our power being out at home from a storm. Steve was so helpful and accommodating to us during this trying time. Lovely experience - would definitely visit again. This hotel has a great location, easy to reach, and great parking. Thank you Steve and Newbury Inn!!

we are sorry we stayed at this motel. the room was filthy and it looked as if it was used for a sex party. we found used condoms in the room and the beds had stains on them. there was also a foul smell as if there was drug use in the room. do not stay at this sleazy motel. caution: they also make you leave a $100 deposit, in the event that the room is trashed. the scam is to hit your card with a charge after you leave. with me they said that the comforter was stained.....scammers....don't stay there. ALSO...THE BREAKFAST CONSISTS OF STALE BREAD AND BAGELS. TYPICAL MOTEL SCAMMERS...FILTHY ROOMS USED FOR SEX PARTIES. NOT THE ONLY REVIEWER THAT FOUND USED CONDOMS IN THE ROOM....NASTY PLACE...
