When my now 60 year old son was about 6 we began camping on vacations as well as occasional weekends. Needless to say, we have stayed at many campgrounds and RV parks. I have never before written a review for any of those experiences but am compelled to do so for the Mesa Verde RV Resort (35303 US-160, Mancos, CO 81328.) This pet friendly RV resort has the amenities, and more, one would expect. The bath house is spotlessly clean with newly remodeled floor to ceiling tile and all new fixtures. The staff was helpful and exceptionally friendly. All in all, it is and will probably continue to be remembered as my all time favorite place to camp.

From the moment you check in the office you can smell the cleanliness. We were greeted by Jessie, who was exceptionally friendly and thorough with the park rules/facilities. The cleanliness carryover to the bathrooms (spotless), laundry (not a grit of lint anywhere), pool (clear) and overall campground (well maintained). Large pull through sites and wide backends. Area for tent camping well laid out. 8.2miles to Mesa Verde National Park. Nice grocery store nearby. Highly recommend this RV park for future stays!

Amenities are good. Decent laundry facilities but ensure you bring your own quarters. Pool wasn’t heated when we were there but the kids didn’t care. 2 hot tubs were nice. Fishing pond and place to clean the fish and a dump station easily accessed. The park entrance is a mile from the RV park and between Cortez and Durango. Would stay here again.

This campground is a must use! Although the campsites are not 100% level, it took very little for us to level out. There is a pool, a hot tub, a little lake back behind, for hook ups wonderful shower and bathroom facility! The size and cleanliness of the bathroom was fantastic! It is less than five minutes to the Mesa Verde national Park, making it very easy and accessible to the park, and it is exceptionally affordable. We paid less for two nights here, then we did at the KOA…

This is the EmailI sent to Colorado EPA: I dont know who to tell but someone needs to know what is going on. Yesterday June 5th I arrived at Mesa Verde RV Resort 35303 Hwy 160 Mancos, CO 81328. A Privately owned RV campground. After arriving there and being directed to site # 44 We were there for about 2 hours when a neighbor comes beating on my door to tell me I have liquid coming out under my rv. I ran outside to see the sewer hook up pipe at site 44 was free flowing gallons of human waste and toilet paper. I wanted to move my rv but the raw sewage was disgusting and I was going to have to walk in it and touch my things that were covered in it. Things? My fresh water connections and filters sitting in flowing waste water. Another camper informed me the owner was on his way. He was. He arrived instantly with all the tools for a sewer problem. In the mean time instead of being sympathetic to my situation he starts yelling at me that my problems are not his and he doesn't care that my things are covered in sewer waste. Also if I don't like it I need to leave. Then his tone changes and tells me to leave his property. Then his helper starts puffing out his chest and making aggressive moves toward me. I had to walk in the waste to disconnect. In the mean time the owner and his helper contuinued being overly ugly. It surly wasnt my problem I NEVER connected or pumped my sewer there. BUT... I did crawl under my RV in the river of dried waste from the last time it happened which was very recent based on the evidence. I know I witnessed in excess of 100 gallons of human excretment flowing down his street thru his community and into the natural water basins behind the campground. I was informed by folks that is at least the 3rd time that has happened since Memorial Day weekend. That could be in excess of 300 gallons of human waste and toilet paper. I am sure there are a dozen laws and EPA rues that were broken that day. Once I was threatened I called 911 and drove off his property. The operator didn't seem to care about my predicament or that a human waste spill of this magnitude required a response or haz mat. Instead she connected me with National Park Services who of course just told me that it wasn't their property. So here I am with human waste on me, and everything I have touched with no running water and driving off with nowhere to go. I now know I probably only needed to be bathed although I am still very concerned about all the diseases human waste can carry. I am also concerned about the lack of concern about this seemingly constant dumping into a very fragile and drought plagued landscape. As well as the 911 operators lack of response or even understanding of the problem. An added note: I had to leave. I am thankful. I cant imagine the man and his kids that were outside eating when this happened! WOW! What horrible place!

Site was clean and had shade trees to help keep the RV cool in the day time. Very happy with the spot where we camped. The pool and spa area's were clean and well taken care of. We also see a family of Canadian geese that was on the property. Also they had a community BBQ and gas fireplace for anyone to use. They were very nice and helpful. The exception; the waste disposal site was higher than the point on our RV, so we couldn't drain our tanks until we moved the RV to higher ground. Also they shouldn't advertise free WIFI, because there is WIFI, but has very little bandwidth. Only one bar for cell phone coverage. In spite of these two discrepancies we would stay there again and recommend it to any of our friends.

Owners called us before we arrived to check in. The bathrooms/showers were top notch & laundry room was very accessible. Our tent site was big and spacious. Wish we would’ve been able to experience this place in the summer time!

One of the best managed RV parks I have stayed. Clean, well organized, and friendly. Best bathrooms/showers anywhere! I have stayed here twice and both stayed were great. Best place to stay if visiting Mesa Verde or if just passing through.

Awesome place! Clean, fresh and updated. Accommodations were awesome. Nice dog area and even provide bags and disposal. Highly recommend! Beautiful views and quiet. The internet was weak and they gave me their personal access which made it possible to zoom!
