I was whisked away to a surprise getaway at the hunter. We stayed at the "Bella wind" for two night. Sheli and John were the most welcoming wonderful hosts who really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Being a vegan and vegetarian Helen put together 5 star breakfast that would easily win any tops chefs award!! Heli also baked some yummy vegan cookies for our enjoyment which was a lovely surprise. In addition the bedroom was quiet and bed super comfortable, surroundings serene coupled with stunning sunsets. A must for anyone visiting the area. Thanks Heli and John

We made our first trip to Australia and spent two nights at Bella Wind Bed and Breakfast. Heli and John were the most wonderful hosts we've ever come across. They made us feel very much at home with their kindness and warmth. The house has a very picturesque location and is done up beautifully on the inside. There is a lovely pool facing the hills. The highlight of our stay here, however, was the absolutely mind blowing breakfast cooked by Heli. She took all our likes and dislikes into consideration and came up with innovative dishes every morning. We were extremely touched by their warmth and would definitely come back here if and when we get a chance.

Left a snow storm in British Columbia, Canada for a trip to Australia. Landed in Sydney and drove straight to Bella Wind in Hunter Valley. Knowing to look for the carefully laid out recyclables made finding the property easy. Was met by Heli and made extremely comfortable right from the start. After taking our gear to our clean and comfortable room Heli set us up with a cheese platter at the pool. The property is very nice with the back yard looking over quiet fields. Had Canadian friends join us for 3 nights and truly enjoyed the property (had an awesome bbq one night with Heli and John), the area and the company. Just an incredible start to our holiday!

We stayed at Bella Wind during a short break away in the vineyards. Heli and John made us very welcome: our room was comfortable and the house has plenty of space for relaxing, including a pool table and plenty of lounging around areas. The real highlight, though, is Heli's beautifully cooked and presented breakfasts! She cleverly enjoys thinking up something special to surprise her guests with, and takes a lot of pride in her meals. We agree - they're great. We also had fun poking around in John's trash & treasure & unearthed some fun finds. Recommended!

My cousin John who I haven't seen since I was a kid back in 1970's before I left for England with my family. It's an amazing place in such a beautiful part of Australia. It's an amazing place and so welcoming, warm and home cooked foods. No photos as of yet but will be visiting Hunter Valley Gardens today seeing the flowers etc plus wine tasting too.xx

My partner & I stayed at Bella Wind for two nights to attend a wedding in the Hunter Valley. We were absolutely delighted from the moment we walked in the front door! Helen & John were so friendly & welcoming we left feeling like we had stayed with friends! The accommodation was tasteful, clean & stylish, the atmosphere & ambience amazing ... Then there was breakfast... It completely blew us away, Helen is just an incredible cook, and with John's table setting & unique collectibles ... We could have stayed for weeks! Thank you so much for sharing your little piece of heaven! Karen from Queensland

This is easily the best B & B I've ever stayed in, Helen made us a delicious breakfast with fresh juice and included produce grown on their property. The room was spacious, very comfy bed, aircon. They were able to recommend local vineyards not on the main tours. Helen and John are so lovely. Wouldn't change a thing!

This was our first bed and breakfast stay we have done. We didn't know what to expect. Hely and John made us feel very welcome. We had a wonderful stay. Our room was spacious and clean. We had a lot of extra space throughout the house to use such as the TV room with DVD and blue rays to choose from. A lounge area to read, sit and have tea and coffee as often as we liked. Hely even made us sweet treats to eat. We had use of the pool table, pool and garden areas with lovely valley views. Breakfast was such a treat Hely really loves to entertain which you can see. The pride she takes in what she prepares is delicious. Valentine the dog is no problem he would come and say hi occasionally and was very friendly and sweet. John runs a used goods and recyclable business from the front

Warm folksy people, Hely and John make you feel instantly at home. They have a huge rec room and spacious lounge area for guests to relax in and a large patio on which we were served delicious organic breakfasts from their garden including free range eggs! The patio opens up to a picturesque panorama of the countryside. The quarters were spacious bathrooms emaculate. You won't be disappointed!
