First off, he Hilltop is a good value. At first glance, the location doesn't seem like much, but it's at a freeway onramp/offramp, so you can get pretty much anywhere in the area within minutes. Good thing, because the restaurant next door is closed down and there is literally nothing within walking distance.
This property is a former Motel 6, so if you are familiar with M6, you know what the rooms are like. This one is showing it's age. It is reasonably clean but run down. We requested "downstairs, near parking" and got a handicapped room. The guy at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Wifi and A/C worked, and water pressure was good.
Bottom line, if you need a place to lay your head while in Victorville, this place will do. Otherwise, spend 10-15 bucks more and get more.
BTW, it may not mean anything, but most of the other reviewers have only 1 review. Hmm....

Victorville is not the place you would choose for a holiday destination and the Hilltop Inn wouldn't be my first choice to stay. The proprietor was very moody and didn't do much to make your stay more pleasant. Also the room was OK-ish, but has seen better times. As said it was just a place to crash for the night and for that it was just OK...

I stayed there one night. It was a nice, clean room, the bathroom was clean and the fridge was working. The staff was polite and friendly. I can't complain about anything. Price was good for what I got.

Strait mo mo from hell !! Thought it was a Hilton inn.. got stuck had to stay there no refunds. Guy was super rude behind the glass ( doesn’t get paid to be nice I guess ) gave me the keys to an unclean room.. toilet didn’t work, smelled like smoke, everything was hot, ac crashed and broken. So I asked for another room that is cleaner and he gave me attitude and said “this is the crappy place, if you wanted the good place you should have staid at the ritz..” ended up giving me the only room they had.. which was equally as crappy. Honestly it almost broke me and my girlfriend up she was so upsetting she almost stayed in the car.. beds were hard and flat like concrete and one sank in to the middle.. pillows smelled like booty.. no rest for the weary. Then he ended up charging me more then they said and kept the deposit I gave them 👎

The price seems like a great deal until you arrive at the property. Two marked security cars out front that never move, and lots of folks milling around aimlessly. A building that needs paint, concrete crumbling and balconies/rails that do not look like they could withstand our weight, let alone an earthquake. The room was filthy. Stained carpets and furniture. The sheets seemed clean, but covering an aging innerspring mattress. A bedspread, but no blanket. The bathroom floor had dirt in every corner. The shower curtain had seen better days. This is a scary place!

Worst place i've ever stayed! If you're a drug addict, prostitute, or homeless then this is the place for you. Room was not clean esp. the shower (there's no tub), sheets were dirty, and the towels were so ancient they felt like sandpaper. Do not be fooled by the low price. You get what you pay for! Never again!

I'm working as a travel nurse and needed something affordable. The best price around and very comfortable. Really close to work. Made my stay nice. I plan on staying there the whole 13 week assignment. I recommend it to other travel nurses.

This was the most digusting, dirty hotel I've ever been too. When we opened the door to our room, I looked at our beds, turned them down,, they were wrinkled like been slept in, hair all over the sheets, pee srains, etc... the bathroom shower was gross had hair and scum all over it. When I went to office to complain, the manager got mad, telling me he's never had any bad reviews for dirtiness,, he changed our room because I refused to sleep in that one, I watched the house keeper clean it before I would stay in that room,, we heard the manager on the radios swearing at her. He told us well now you have an upgraded toom, really,, that upgrade was a flat screen tv, lol. They will not give extra towels, blankets or pillows, there's no little bottles of shampoo or lotion, no microwave. The pool is susposed to be heated, but was like ice. I asked for a refund but he wanted to keep a full nights fee, so we stayed. The morning of checkout, we couldn't shower because the water was cold. DO NOT, I mean DO NOT ever spend your money here!!

I was told I was in a non- smoking room, I was lied to. The room reeked of smoke. The decor is old, tired and dirty. The water in the sink came out in three sharp squirts. I could not wait to get out of there and the only reason I stayed was because everywhere else was sold -out. It was between Hilltop and my car. My car would have been better.

I stayed here two nights and got charged for 3! When I called to have it taken care of they said they could see no additional charge. I had to dispute with my credit card company and it had to be taken care of as a fraud case because of their lack of cooperation. Irritating. I had to cancel my card and fill out paperwork.
