Greta was a great host !! along with her pup :-) The cabin is quiet, clean, cozy and very peaceful.I was single gal traveling alone and felt very safe here. While there I checked out the casino hotel and it had an odd vibe and glad I didnt stay there.I was in area for 2 days, the town is small so bring snacks. The skylight in my space was so nice to fall asleep to.The bed was very comfortable best sleep Ive had in awhile. It had a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot.If Im in area again I would stay here for sure!!! One thing if driving down to Calistoga daily be reminded it is mountain driving with ALOT of curves. Be careful. Thanks Greta for a wonderful stay!!

My husband and I, and our little pu[. were visiting a relative in the area. We chose Backyard Garden Oasis because of the good reviews, and Greta did not add a lot of extra charges such as for the pup and /or cleaning charges. Driving into the graveled driveway we were treated by one of the resident dogs, Ollie. His greeting was sweet and animated. All that was apparent was the owner's home and garage. They live in the country. However, behind her gate was a large manicured property and 3 small quaint cabins. Greta (the proprietor) was friendly and welcoming. The cabin was clean and very nicely done. Very comfortable. We felt safe and secure. Greta provided a delicious fresh fruit plate and homemade blueberry muffins. Delicious! We will definitely go back to her Backyard Garden Oasis!

Stayed at Greta's cabin for three nights. It was spacious and has a small fridge and microwave. You can have lunch or dinner outside on the private porch and just relax and listen to the sounds of the birds and just the nature. The place comes with a shower and a comfortable bed. The heater was also great for colder nights. The cabin has an older charm to it. Greta was helpful and responsive and has a maintained property. If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle and just enjoy peace and quiet then this place is for you. There is not much around so you will need to depend on a car to get to and from places. Thank you for the hospitality.

My husband and I enjoyed our sojourn from the everyday at Greta's cottage, meeting the dogs, and getting to know the area a little better. Our cottage was very comfortable and well-equipped. Greta was very easy to communicate with and very accommodating. Middletown has some good amenities but be sure to check the closing time of the restaurants - it's early! Calistoga, St. Helena and Napa are all pretty close and make for a nice day trip. Of course, lots of wineries! We hope to return soon.

Garden Oasis is a cute B&B with it’s very own little cottage. Worked great with a King bed and a single bed. Complete with it’s own bathroom and luxurious towels. Greta has it set up very nicely. Room also has a mini refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. Greta also brought us a nice fruit plate and muffins for breakfast. She even made sure there was a gluten-free free muffin for my food allergy. Very helpful in recommendations to help enjoy your vacation-just ask her by e-mail. Remember a lot of places require reservations-wine tasting, hot springs, spas in area, etc…. Garden Oasis even has a walking trail on property along with a great dog-we called him “Smiling O” as he seemed to smile at us. If you want a quiet and relaxing place to stay near Napa, this would be a good pick. Glad we did!

My husband and I have stayed at Backyard Garden Oasis several times and so have family and friends. We find it the perfect place to stay. Greta, the owner, is such a lovely person. Before covid, she prepared delicious sit-down breakfasts in her home. Now she makes sure to have fresh fruit/berries, muffins, tea and coffee in the cottage. A coffee pot, mini fridge and now a microwave are also provided. It's a beautiful serene area. I will continue to stay here as often as I can make it to Napa/Calistoga/St. Helena area.

My husband and I and our small dog LOVED Greta's sweet cottage ( one of three) in her lovely yard. The mature trees are gorgeous and was very peaceful. The cottage (Pisces) is charming and comfortable....Nice hot tub too! Great king bed, with a nice view from bed to the beautiful yard. Our dog loved running around with Greta's adorable pup Ollie. Greta was very easy to communicate with and check in was a breeze. We hope to return some day when her trees are leafed out. Truly a sweet country getaway!! Thank you!

We went here the night before we went to Harbin Hot Springs. I took a nice walk down the dead end road with cows and fields and then went out to dinner at a tasty Mexican restaurant starting with a “p” nearby. My husband is handicapped and everything is level. He only suggested having a rubber pad in the shower. Place is cozy and warm and there is coffee and half and half for the morning.Would definitely recommend.

The Mexican restaurant is La Parilla, a family owned restaurant, with authentic, delicious Mexican food. A rubber mat is now available for our shower in the accessible cottage. Thanks for the suggestion!

What a great find!! My dog Roxy was beside herself in the spectacular fenced yard and the room was perfect for me with a huge, comfy bed. Greta supplies fresh ground coffee and cream too! The room has a refrigerator but no way to heat food which was fine for me because I had sandwich and salad fixings. The road to/from Calistoga is a bit twisty so bear that in mind if you’re going back and forth like I was every day. That won’t stop me from making this my go-to spot any time I’m in the Calistoga area. Greta is a gracious host! The breakfasts have great reviews but I had my own food so didn’t partake. I can’t recommend this place highly enough especially if traveling with dogs!

Backyard Garden Oasis. So fitting. We loved every part of our experience. Greta, the owner who built the cabins from a blank slate 22 years ago, is a true B&B host and a delight to chat with. Like her cabins, she and her dog Rusty are welcoming, charming, and completely in their element. We really appreciated Greta’s attention to detail and love for dogs! Out of the ‘pet friendly’ options in the Calistoga area, this fit our needs perfectly. It is more like a dog sanctuary, with the large yard, doggy bowls, treats and plastic bags waiting for you when you arrive. The cabins were lovely too. Comfortable, spacious, and the tea and coffee bar were a nice touch. The yard was peaceful, and fun the walk around. Like a true B&B, Greta makes breakfast each morning for you! Delicious waffles or French toast, a side of bacon or sausage, and fresh berries. She even has a hot tub, which was nice to come back to. Greta, thank you for being so accommodating! There were so many highlights! Background Garden Oasis has certainly made us feel at home.
