The historic Millennium Biltmore Hotel has been a legendary Los Angeles landmark since 1923. With exquisite Spanish-Italian Renaissance architecture, including stunning hand-painted ceilings, it's rich history is most noted for its connection with the Oscars - the founding banquet for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences was held in the Crystal Ballroom in 1927, where the original "Oscar" statuette was sketched on a Biltmore napkin, and eight Academy Awards banquets were held in the Biltmore Bowl during the '30s and '40s.

The Biltmore Los Angeles captivates visitors with its fusion of historic allure and contemporary sophistication, although the charm is sometimes overshadowed by noise disturbances and elements in need of modernization. While the central location is a highlight, it's not without its safety concerns after dark. Guest experiences with service and cleanliness show a stark contrast, from commendations for staff like Valentine to grievances about upkeep and professionalism. Moreover, many guests find the value diminished by hidden fees and services that don't quite meet expectations.

The Biltmore is an historic, luxury hotel. Great location in downtown LA. The staff in general, and especially Richard are exceptional. Very professional and courteous, always making you feel welcome. Afternoon high tea should not be missed but reservations do fill up.

It should be illegal to advertise one rate and then add a $30 per night service charge. Shame on you. I would have happily paid it as part of the room rate. Instead you have a customer who feels cheated. The health department should also come to check the falling paint chips on the windows before a child eats them.

The lobby was nice but once you get to your room, it is the most basic room ever! Super outdated, pain chipped off. The bathroom needs a complete remodel. Our first room was so incredibly loud (the windows are soo old, there is no buffer at all) we barely slept that night. The AC is either an ice box or an oven, no in between. The beds were not comfortable either. I would not suggest this hotel to any of my travel clients traveling to LA. Parking is expensive and their hotel fee per night is just dumb.

Dear millenium biltmore L.A., I have experienced a home away from home alike experience, Staying at your adress on my vacation to the United States from Europe, Germany! Any luxury ammenities were during arrival not only comparable to european 5 star GL hotels, The historical building in Los Angeles Convention Center, really brought up an enchanting atmosphere with its beautifully arranged Holiday Decors. With the scenematric Pool and Spa ammenities, royalty felt comforted, as an equivalent to fast paced L.A. atmospheres during day time. Signature drinks and Festive decors really was the perfect stay before my L.A. holidays. I hope to enjoy being guest at a one of its kind hotel, that directly convinced with personal service. However no concierge was available that days, Front desk and portier services, were always at charge to perfom great on behalf of the client and guest. Best warmhearted regards And with appreciation Aaron Noorzai

Aaron, Thank you for such a glowing review! We're thrilled that Biltmore Los Angeles had the pleasure of providing you with a homelike experience while you were visiting from Germany. It's fantastic to read that our building's character and holiday decorations added to an enchanting atmosphere, and that our pool and spa provided a tranquil retreat from the hustle of Los Angeles. We're overjoyed to hear that our signature drinks and festive decor heightened your holiday stay. Good news is our team members are dedicated to providing outstanding service and we're happy they were always there for you, despite the unavailability of a concierge. We look forward to the opportunity of welcoming you back for another memorable visit.

The room was clean, spacious and well equipped. Public areas are spectacular, classic fountains, mouldings and paintings are everywhere. Visit the historic corridor to see photographs of the rich history of the hotel and their involvement with the Oscars.

My parents and I were spending the day downtown, and after lunch in Little Tokyo and visiting the library, we wandered into the Biltmore. Even though I work in DTLA, I did not know such a beautiful and historic hotel was sitting right across from Pershing Square. We were delighted by the architectural details and design, it was like stepping back into time. What really capped off our visit though was bumping into Mr. Valentine, the general manager of the hotel. He was about to show one of the closed off ballrooms to some other visitors and allowed us to tag along. The Gold Room and Crystal Ballroom were stunning. Even more special was Mr. Valentine's stories about the hotel and its secrets. We didn't expect to receive a private tour of these rooms, and we weren't even guests of the hotel. We really appreciated Mr. Valentine's hospitality and for making us feel welcome. Such an unexpected treat. Thank you, Mr. Valentine!

Great hotel, great staff and excellent room service. Maybe consider getting a window cleaner and a little tlc needed in the toilet/bathroom. Charged a daily fee of $35, for what exactly ?? The building is beautiful and iconic so, any negatives whipped out by the many positives.

Pro: The front desk, catering, and bar/restaurant staff are courteous and helpful. They gave us water bottles of water at check in. Food at our event was good. Shower pressure was great! Con: My room was freezing and stuck at 59 degrees. Heater was not working and took 3 phone calls and a stressed plea and request for confirmation call that an engineer was coming on my last call to get an engineer to my room. He fixed it in 10 minutes. The rooms are older and not modern. No conditioner just a shampoo and conditioner combo. The beds are full size if you are in a double bed room.

This was our second stay at the magical Biltmore Hotel and it was better than I could've imagined, thanks to the manager, Valentine, who took the time to give us an amazing private tour of all four glorious ballrooms. He was extremely kind, knowledgeable, and fun to chat with, taking care of my family and making this experience very special. The history here is incredible, as is the food!!! The most incredible part is the staff. Everyone was smiling and extremely helpful. William and Alberto in valet were prompt, friendly, and seeing to every detail. The wonderful gentleman who runs the restaurant downstairs fixed our favorite lunch before the kitchen even opened! And of course, Valentine's tour of the ballrooms sealed the deal. This is the best hotel in LA!!! <3 <3 <3

Beautiful old hotel. Total of four couples cruised from Los Angeles and stayed at the Biltmore one day in advance and three days after the cruise. The service here was delightful and Valentine corrected the few issues that we had. Two couples requested to change rooms and Valentine made it happen as flawless as possible. One couple had noise issues outside the room and the other couple requested a handicap room. Valentine was helpful in Restaurant and tourism suggestions . All in all our interactions with him and the staff made our stay a pleasant experience.
