Easy check in. Off season stay so not many services available. Room was cozy. Only had a tub it was fine but awkward. Bed was comfortable, room had small fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Beautiful sunrise from front porch.

We booked a room at Tioga Lodge at Mono Lake in Lee Vining. Then our vacation had to be postponed by 2 days, so we requested that our reservation be updated by the 2 days. There were rooms available on our requested date. This occurred 19 days prior to our reservation. Instead of changing the reservation which was perfectly possible to do, the owner forced us to forfeit the full cost of the room and insisted that we would have to book a new reservation (so pay double)! In our opinion this is poor treatment and reveals the attitude of the owner towards his customers.

This place is really bad, people give it excuses and tell you to do things that you shouldn't have to when staying at a lodge. Let us begin, check-in, the lady there is too busy with other things to do, so they leave a note to call them and then she meanders over from wherever she was to check you in. The light was off in the lobby and I felt like I was in a deserted haunted building when I first entered. I drive over the gravel road and I get the upstairs room which is up a super narrow staircase almost impossible to bring luggage up. The room itself has a fan, no AC and the temp was in the high 80s that day, being on the second floor it did not cool down and was a night to sweat it out. The bathroom was scary looking and everything felt incredibly cheap like it was super old and ready to break. The bed was predictably lumpy and very uncomfortable to sleep in. The best part though is the lodge is outside Lee Vining so you get to hear all night all the trucks and cars whizzing by as the Lodge you guessed it is right off the road and has no insulation whatsoever. To make things even nicer a big rig driver decided to pull off the side of the road right in front of the lodge and get a much better sleep then the one I was getting. I got up in the morning more tired and sweaty then when I arrived. A truly miserable experience and I quickly made plans to get a normal room in town for my second night in the area. If you want to rough it then this is the place for you and the sunrise over Mono Lake is worth it as you will be up at 5:45 anyway, might as well get a pic of it.

Actually didn't get to stay, as they overbooked and cancelled my reservation with ONE DAY notice, a reservation that i made in FEBRUARY! Their excuse was that I booked through Expedia, and not them directly. It was actually Hotels.com, but its the same difference. Point being... I booked 6 months in advance, but because I booked through a third party, they had a right to take the new reservation, and knock me out on the street with literally one day's notice and absolutely nowhere to go. And were completely rude when I called about it. I never give a one star to anyone, but in this case, I was left out in the street with nothing available in the area. In addition, their rate is non cancellable, so I purchased insurance on it. It's not cancellable by me.. but apparently they can cancel any time they wish. Bad bad bad customer service. I do no recommend booking this hotel

The room was the cleanest we have been in in a long time! Our pup spilled water and when wiping up the water, the towel came up clean. Pet friendly, beautiful grounds, and helpful staff. We will definitely be going back!

I don’t really understand the low stars for this place. We got a room with an excellent lake view , staff was very nice . Room was very clean and everything worked fine , also our room came with a portable AC that worked great! I would totally stay again. We stayed in the a pioneer room but will try one of the standalone rooms next time! Parking in the upper lots is kind of confusing , everyone parked in their own way but that’s not lodges fault. We will for sure try coming during winter. They also had a cool little stream that bring a nice breeze with it !

My husband and I stayed at the Tioga Lodge at Mono Lake for two nights. We had a delightful stay in Cabin 80. Our cabin included a kitchenette which included a stove with oven; microwave; coffee machine; large refrigerator and electric tea kettle. The kitchen was stocked with pots, pans & utensils. All appliances and utensils appeared new and spotless. The cabins was extremely clean, the king sized bed was comfortable. Sheets, blankets and towels were of good quality. Two air conditioners cooled our cabin space as well as ceiling fans. The shower had plenty of hot water and was extremely clean. The staff was FRIENDLY, receptive and helpful. The WiFi was adequate. We watched the sun rise over Mono lake and it was awesome and unforgettable. Thank you everyone at Tioga Lodge! We will see you again soon!

Super friendly people. Clean comfortable rooms. Pretty grounds and great spots to sit outside and enjoy the view. It is near the highway- that is the only negative. Nothing that a set of earplugs wouldn’t solve. Lots of great things to do in the area! I would stay there again!

This place is amazing. The view is lovely and the staff is hospitable and so kind. The manager Gladis and her boss were so kind and let us have a small picnic here with my wife and our families. We just got married and because of the Tioga Pass closure were unable to have our picnic in Yosemite where we had originally planned. They were so kind and hospitable and let us have a small picnic here. They were so generous and kind. Stay at this place. This place is a hidden gem. It’s amazing. If not for the amazing views, do it for the amazing staff. Our stay actually isn’t even over yet. We’re on day 2 of a 5 day stay and I’m so excited to see what else is in store for us here. If you stay here, you’ll be glad you did.

Worst experience ever !! My family and i have been staying here for years on our annual treck from San Diego to Tahoe so i decided to spend my 50th birthday near The place i love.It started out with the lady giving me the wrong room which i had already reserved which i called her out on . The room smelled like chemicals which made us sick so she offered us a second night in another room for free or a discounted price for cash. She asked for a card to hold the room until she spoke to the owner to see if the room would be discounted or a comp and she would get back to us later. The room ended up having no hot water, broken bathroom tiles ,a broken heater and no screens. To top it off the ground crew parked in front of out unit and worked and talked by our front door until 8:30 pm even though i asked them to leave they just acted put off and joked in another language about us and refused to leave. After i complained that night to the lady she instantly charged our card more than she did the first night and suggested that in the morning we could work it out.The next day she suggested we broke the heater and when i informed her i video'd the room she changed her tone.what a scam.Ive never been treated like that EVER in Lee Vining and Tioga Pass Inn gives the town a bad name.Do yourself a favor and never stay there.
