We rented an RV spot for a few nights and had full hookups. The park is nice an quiet. Gary and Rita were very helpful upon our arrival and throughout our stay. They hooked us up with a local person who took us on a historical hike of the gold mining ditches built back in the day. This was a hiking trip and we hit all three wildernesses on the Klamath National Forest. Would definately stay here again!

A long weekend turned into an adventure along the Klamath River Highway 96 to Happy Camp, CA. We took advantage of a photo op with Big Foot. Walked around town, hiked some trails, took in the beauty of local creeks, the mighty Klamath and chatted with friendly locals. The owners had a fire going when we arrived. The Chili Pepper cabin was warm, cozy and clean. A wonderful respite. A fantastic weekend.

Our group of three rented the Hummingbird Cabin for two nights and enjoyed our stay. Location is great, right across from the market and the owners are super friendly and helpful. The A/C was wonderful as it was really hot during our stay. We enjoyed having an outdoor patio area, the kitchen and TV. We would highly recommend if you are in that area.

We stayed in the Chili Pepper Cabin for three days and loved it. The cabin is rustic and cute. My kids were thrilled about the wifi and tv. Plus we had three other family members who stayed in the tent area nearby which was convenient. It was perfect for the price. The staff were super friendly and pointed us to some great swimming holes nearby. There's a grocery store across the street and the fabulous Karuk People's Center museum a few blocks away (Full Disclosure: I'm Karuk so admittedly biased about the museum's awesomeness).

We brought our travel trailer to Happy Camp and stayed a week at Big Foot. The hookups were perfect, the wifi was Excellent, and the owners became friends from the first conversation. It's like staying in a quiet city park with a bunch of relaxed friendly people. I was worried about noise but that is not a problem and the trees and grass make for a very pleasant setting. If you stay here: -my wife judged the bathrooms/showers "just fine" and nice and roomy -there's a central lawn with a fountain, trees and rose garden (very good for playing guitar in the evenings) -there's a potluck for the park each week -once a week there's a farmer's market where you can have a steak dinner and conversation -the store is in walking distance We are hardcore river people and we raft/kayak each day. Very close to Happy Camp is exciting Class III water or if you prefer, nice easy floating. The water is just a little cool and refreshing on the hot summer days. I would definitely stay here again when we come back.

Cabins were OK. We were promised the 1950s trailer 2 years in a row during our 10 day gold prospecting outing. Didn't happen. Said we would have it on the phone, different story when we arrived in town. Very disappointed! Wish they would keep their word. Was charged $85/night.

This is a great place to stay. The owners treat you like a family member and are simply wonderful. I was tent camping with my dog, not a big spending trip, but I was treated very well. The showers are excellent. I would probably travel much more if I were always treated this well!

This was our first trip to Happy Camp, traveling with two large dogs. We stayed in the hummingbird cabin, which was clean and well- equipped. The owners were most accommodating. Happy Camp is a very small town, and not all that much to look at, but it's surrounded by beautiful environment. The cabin has a small outdoor sitting area, which was nice because it is quite small. (The shower was one of the smallest I have ever seen). Nevertheless, the cabin had everything we needed. I can imagine it would be so cozy on a cold night with the wood stove going after a day of hiking or fishing. We would definitely stay again!

I travel extensively in the USA and around the world, and I have to say that this is one of my all time favorite places to stay.

Cozy, quaint, kitschy, luxurious, fabulous - that's how I'd describe the Ladybug Cabin I stayed in.

Cozy - in essence you have your own one-bedroom apartment or one-bedroom cabin as the case may be. All the amenities - full kitchen, sitting room with a fancy new TV with Roku, Netflix, DVD and VHS player, WiFi (I streamed videos with it!!!) and then the bedroom and bathroom are off the sitting room. True, you probably won't become the next Julia Child in this tiny kitchen, but it certainly gets the job done! It has an oven, stove, microwave, refrigerator, sink and all the pots and pans you'll need to fulfill your every culinary desire! The bedroom has a door, which is nice if you're staying with someone with an opposite sleeping schedule - i.e. an early bird and a night owl staying together. Anyone else ever have this problem? Well...problem solved!

Quaint - cute antique chairs in the sitting room with folding tables that can become your desk or your dining room table - perfect for viewing the new flatscreen TV! Wood burning stove is right there to warm your footsies as well.

Kitschy - awesomely random paintings and knick-knacks abound that add just the right amount of character. Mismatched towels in the bathroom made me feel like I was staying at a friend's beach house for the weekend rather than renting a room. Nice! Also, there's a collection of DVDs and VHS tapes. Love it! VHS tapes? Can we say retro-fabulous?!? =)

Luxurious - COMFY bed. It's the kind of bed that makes you want to sleep 'till noon and forget any plans you had for next day, which I did. Thank you very much! =) Another highlight (I'm a sucker for the details) were the fancy soaps in the bathroom. None of those prepackaged, mass produced little tablets most motels use...no, no, no...locally handmade spa style soaps. Just that added touch that made me smile!

Fabulous - great sitting porch out front. Walking distance to everything downtown - the Pizza House, Frontier Cafe, the Saloon (yes, it's really called that) and Parry's Market is right across the street. Best part, the most fantastic hosts - Rita and Gary - who are plugged into the local art scene.

I've been in love with Happy Camp since I first set foot there in 1997...Bigfoot RV Park & Cabins made me fall in love just a little bit more. Check it out for yourself!

We were lucky to turn right at the Bigfoot Statue (going South.) It was a quiet atmosphere, yet as I walked in the office Rita's sense of humor & friendliness were immediate. We settled on the delightful Hummingbird room, after being enchanted by Ladybug next door. A walk around revealed the lovely rose garden and a convenient laundry room. The shady, peaceful layout was a welcome cushion for the tired travelers! On the property is a cafe, which I hope to visit for coffee & snacks as soon as it opens! (The Blueberry Cafe?) In this beautiful stretch of river country I can't think of a sweeter place to revisit.
