My family of 4 stayed in cabin #8. Very pretty views with the mountain and walking down to the lake. When you walk in the cabin, you are in the primary room with a king bed and ensuite bathroom. There is a small back bedroom that had 2 twin beds. Kinda wish the setup was reverse for more privacy, but it was still nice to have some separation. We enjoyed the breakfast, served promptly at 8, especially the fresh squeezed orange juice. Would have liked a couple more options, but still better than what you'd find in a chain hotel. We especially enjoyed talking to the manager, John, who shared some local history and the Brisket and Burger BBQ with live music.

We loved our stay! The location was great, the activities ( kayaking, tubing and riding) were a lot of fun. The accommodation was charmingly rustic with no wifi and a tv only in the main lodge, this meant teenagers were not tempted to be on their phones all the time! They swam in the pool, played games and enjoyed the pool table. All of the staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really yummy and the nicest we had in a month long road trip.

We would highly recommend staying at the Saguaro Lake Ranch if you are looking for a peaceful, beautiful and welcoming place to stay in the Phoenix/Mesa area. From the moment we checked in Sierra, John, Ramon, Vanessa, Ashley and many others made us feel at home. The private Cabins located near Bulldog Cliffs were cozy and we liked that there is no TV and internet in the cabins. This amenities are up at the lodge. A great breakfast is included and I loved their orange juice machine. I enjoyed a couple of glasses of fresh squeezed juice every morning.

The property is beautiful. We stayed in room 10 and it was perfect. We swam every day and it was so relaxing and fun. We walked to the river and it was so pretty. Breakfast was very good too. Beds were comfortable and I wouldn't change a thing

Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch is an oasis in Tonto National Forest! Breakfast is included and Stefanie did an exceptional job! From fresh squeezed orange juice to crispy hot hash rooms to the best pancakes I’ve ever tasted we were really impressed. Private hiking trails are on the property as well as a pool and a welcome green space with a wide variety of lawn games, including horseshoes, corn hole, and ping pong. A stables with horse backing riding is within walking distance. We didn’t miss the lack of a tv and were impressed that our cell phones had 5g coverage, even though cell coverage was not expected. Our cabin was well cared for and had everything we needed. We enjoyed spending time in the historic lodge playing pool. All this for a price that is less than half you will find in Scottsdale!

The best thing about the ranch was the customer service. From booking to arrival the team was on the ball. Once we arrived at the ranch everyone from the owner to the front desk, to the breakfast server to housekeeping was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Even the other guests (regulars) were giving us tips about the area. Next best was breakfast. We had one day with a buffet and another with table service and both were excellent. The syrup on the table was real maple syrup & fresh oranges were available for juicing. We also loved the common area with the beautiful fireplace, eclectic artwork and games and books available to borrow. The cabins aren't luxurious, just basic beds and bathrooms that are comfortable but not fancy. There are chairs to enjoy on the small front porch. There's no coffee in the cabin so you have to make the easy walk over to the main building. We did have a small fridge and were offered a cooler with ice if we needed it. There is nowhere within walking distance to eat, so plan to drive 20 minutes or so for restaurants. This kills the rustic vibe a bit. We could pull the wifi signal from our cabin near the main building. The scenery is beautiful, but with the dam nearby expect to see some cement and power lines as well as the cliffs and saguaro cactus. We took a short, easy loop hike from the property (about 3 miles) and really enjoyed the views and the succulents growing wild. The bird watching was also good. Along the way we were surprised by two hunters with crossbows, after javelina. Google tells me the season is only open Jan-Feb so as long as you are out of that time you shouldn't bump into any. We did a horseback riding outing with the adjacent stables, which was ok. We felt like we'd already seen much of the views on our hike and the ride seemed rote, like the guide had done it a few too many times. We could just have hit an off day since it seems like many other reviewers had a better time.

The grounds were amazing - gorgeous view. The room, rustic bet perfect- the Staff were AMAZING- and the kayak trip.is a must do. We got the box lunch for the float- and the food was top notch. The included breakfast was fresh, hand made... Nothing bad to say. Heavenly location, devilishly hot...

John and his team made us feel so welcome, from the moment we checked in until the moment we checked out. From the kayaking to the horse riding we really enjoyed our stay. We were given some excellent tips for evening meals and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. It was great chatting to all the staff, who I think really enjoyed hearing our English accents. We would highly recommed the ranch to others and if we get the chance we will return. Thank you for a wonderful few days.
