Thirteen Years ago, I stayed alone at The Underberg Guest House in Cape Town. Now, I returned in January 2020 with my wife to this remarkable place that has gone thru a total make-up and renovation. Made in a stylish colonial british way, making the building brething freshness and young reborn. A total positive surprise hosted by the very nice couple Annie and Bruce, who maid our stay to something very rare and special. We just loved the place and the service performed was absolutely excellent. The staff cooking the breakfast for you was trimmed in the best way in pleasing the Customers. Such fresh fruit and juices, wonderful egg omelettes by regular and included order and a great smile from the efficient girls of the kitchen and housekeeping. If you are about going to Cape

I would strongly recommend the Underberg. Beautiful old Building nestling under table mountain in a great location for the city. Bruce and Anne were great hosts and very helpful. Breakfast was fantastic.

This is a lovely tranquil house with a delightful atmosphere. This was our second visit. We particularly enjoy the quiet location but easy access to the city and Table mountain. The views are simply breathtaking. Enjoy the breakfasts and the rather pleasing honesty bar. Bruce and Anne are exemplary hosts. Philip and Julia

We stayed for 6 nights and couldn’t recommend the Underberg Guest House more. The accommodation is centrally located, very clean, and Bruce and Anne go above and beyond to make your stay more than comfortable. Also, can’t forget to mention the delicious breakfast. Thanks again!

We spent four nights at this guest house. It's in a quiet location and very comfortable. The staff go out of the way to help you. Strong shower and delicious breakfast. They can arrange tours around CT.

We had a lovely stay at the beautifully stylish Underberg House with great hosts Anne and Bruce who were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Ideally located for sightseeing in Cape Town and walking distance to good local restaurants. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. We would highly recommend this lovely guesthouse.

We have just finished our time at Underberg Guesthouse and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Bruce the host was a real gent and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The place was beautifully decorated and was very clean. The breakfast was good and the staff were all very friendly. The house is also in a very good location for exploring Cape Town.

We had such a lovely stay at the Underberg Guest House. Tucked away in the heart of Cape Town, the house is walking distance to a ton of great restaurants, to the City Center and offers a stunning view of Table Mountain and Signal Hill. The interior design of the rooms as well as dining and bar area make you feel like home. The rooms have a very generous size and are quiet, comfortable and extremely clean. The breakfast is delicious, has a lot of variety and all the staff is incredibly kind and sweet! The owners, Anne and Bruce, were absolutely delightful and were the warmest, loveliest hosts! So kind and full of great tips, and always available to help. We felt incredibly welcomed and couldn’t have asked for a better stay! Couldn’t recommend it more and will definitely stay

Underberg was such a lovely surprise! The house is beautiful on the inside and out, the room is quiet, comfortable, extremely clean and pretty. The breakfast is delicious and all the staff is incredibly kind! Anne and Bruce were a delight! So kind and full of great tips, always available to help with whatever I needed. The location is also great, I walked through the neighbourhood alone during the day and felt perfectly safe, and there are a lot of restaurants and shops around. I really felt welcomed and my stay could not have been better! I'd definitely go back.
