Pros - Great view, strategic location about 7-10 minutes walk to Jonker Street and night market is available on weekend, and price is considered cheap. Cons - between 2 pub, sound proof is terrible so be prepare to get blast by music until early morning (funny part is one pub blasting english songs while the other one chinese, so it can be very confusing and irritating). There are only 3 working toilet/ bathrooms (1 on L1, 2 on L2), fridge is broken, and we can hear people staying upstairs stomping around as if they were angry about the floor Check in timing 2pm - 7pm, so for those who arrive too early or late, that would be inconvinient. As a conclusion, we enjoy the balcony with riverview a lot, but we didn't get much sleep at all due to too much sound. And we had to ran out to get ice because the fridge is broken.A bit dissapointed and hopefully the owner will get those broken stuff fix and improve the sound proof system.…

I went to Malacca with my husband and chose to stay here as there are many friends recommended to me. My friends have told me about the guest house and asked me to feel it myself. And finally, I experienced 2 pretty good nights staying here. I was impressed by the service by the guest house owner and the workers too. Their attitude were so fine that's surely make you want to have another stay. And also, the room is clear and clean. So do the toilet. I would recommend my friends to have stay there as well if there's any chance visiting Malacca.

Wasn't impressed. First of all, the location is about a 10 minute walk from Jonkers, so there are more central options. The walls are paper thin, so you can literally hear your neighbors snore. For some reason, they keep (albeit friendly) cats in the house, so this is a no-go for people with allergies. Also, there is a notorious smell of cat piss. The bathrooms are very basic. The people are very friendly, though. Would not stay there again and left after one night.

I've stayed in a couple of B&Bs and this is probably the among the cheaper ones. Facility-wise, it's acceptable. After all, if you're backpacking, all you really need is a roof over your head when you sleep. If you're a light sleeper, the walls may be a tad too thin. If you're not, then you're in luck to have a relatively convenient location to sleep in. It's a pretty near the bus terminal as well.

A relaxing place to escape with friends. Fantastic river view especially at the evening. Just simply sit back and relax beside the happening river can be so enjoying. There is a walkway beside the river that allow people to wandering around to enjoy the beauty of this city as well. This guest hotel is strategically located. It is only walking distance to the nearby tourist attractions. In addition, the room was OK and the staff are attentive enough.

This cheap, clean and cosy guest house is ideal for budget backpackers, looking for a decent basic room to crash in. The location is quite strategic and happening, and just like all happening streets, you can expect a little bit of noise, but this shouldn't be a problem if you are out travelling and exploring town most of the time of the day and just head back to sleep after a tiring day. People should not pay for a budget guest house and expect to relax and laze in like a 5star holiday resort villa. The room and bathroom is clean and complete. Husband and wife owner was really genuinely friendly as well when attending to our needs. Really nothing much you can ask for for the very reasonable price you pay.
