We were visiting Yokhama due to Motley and def concert and we messed up between K- Arena Yokohama arena and Yokohama arena. As when we were putting search it was coming back to Yokohama arena and the hotels were very limited for 3 people in 1 room. So didn't think anything much as wanted walking distance from arena but when we arrived, we realized we have messed up. It should have been yokohama and not shinyokhama and it was too late to do anything as hotels in yokohama and shin yokohama were sold out for those 2 nights due to concert. Hotel is very close to train and bus station. convenient place. Close to eatery and starbucks. Location wise is good. This was our first time in this type of the hotel ( similar to ibis style or you can say backpacker style ) so were very disappointed for 1st night but later accepted and adjusted as no other options. Checked in was not much difficult but conversing with the reception was tiring cause has to type all the time and use the google translate as they couldn't understand basic english words as well. check in time is 1500hrs, even 10-15 min before also they will not give the rooms. they can keep the luggage for you. Basic Amenities is provided near the elevator. Room rate is inclusive of japanese style breakfast with few bread options which is served from 0630-0900hrs, nothing fancy but nothing to complain as well. I was happy with the coffee machine , juice machine and croissant. We only had breakfast on the 1st day and 2nd day couldn't be bothered due to long queue, avoid going at 0800-0900hrs. Every evening they have welcome drink in the same area for the guests which we missed as we were out all the time but on the day of check out, we saw they had good selection of drinks for guests to enjoy ( i cant recall the timings ) free of cost. We had 1 double and 1 triple room with bunk bed and both the rooms didn't had space to walk or keep luggage. We had to sit on floor or beds only. Luggage could only be open on the bed. The bathroom was mini bathroom ( same size like in overnight trains). a big problem for the overweight people to use their bathrooms. Lights are very dim in the room. This chain is very popular with Japanese working class due to onsen in the hotel. Night time u can see them going to onsen and peak hrs were like 2100-2400hr. I didn't get to see the onsen so can't tell much. We didn't know the check out time was 1000hrs, we assume that it would be 1100hrs like other places in Japan but housekeeping will knock on your door at 1000hrs to leave the room as they want to clean. We had to ask for 10-15 more to keep the stuffs, you can't close the rooms or they will come back and conversing with them takes more time. Over all its not bad. I would recommend for people who are single traveler / on budget or on backpack trip. If u are only looking at sleeping and nothing much, then go for it... the main door gets locks from midnight till 7am, u can enter the building by using your room pin code. rooms don't have a key, you can access your room with pin on your door. i personally don't think will get to use this chain again but many people will like it.

We were only here for one night as a break in our journey between Osaka and Narita airport. We arrived at 2pm and check in was 3pm. Not a problem, we left our luggage, went to a cafe round the corner for a drink and came back later. The room was quite large compared to the other two hotel rooms we had on our trip in Shinjuku Tokyo and Osaka. Plenty of room to store your luggage and a large desk for your belongings. The Ramen Museum is just round the corner - I highly recommend this too! Breakfast was quite large and easy to choose something you like. Plenty of places to sit as well. Very friendly staff, although the reception is on the 2nd floor and you can enter the hotel by elevator from the 1st floor and go directly to your room, so you don't necessarily see the staff all the time when coming and going. Just wish we had stayed a few more nights as it's in a great area and easy to get to from the station.

Stayed here during the Rugby World Cup, fantastic location for the nearby stadium - easiest check in and out ever. Spotlessly clean rooms, very close proximity to the train station, good breakfast, very helpful staff - but horrendously expensive for 2 nights. I get that there was a huge event on - but that left a bad taste in our mouths. We had planned to return later during the holiday but cancelled.

Very near Shin Yokohama Station. One exit of the connected overhead bridge actually lands you mere steps away from the hotel. Service, amenities, the public bath, etc, are also wonderful. The free breakfast is delicious! And if I’m not wrong, with more variety than many other Super Hotel/Lohas locations.

This place was really close to the JR tracks. We stayed for 6 nights. The staff was the best ever!!! There's a 7-11 and a pharmacy type store as well as a Starbucks on the same street. The wifi was throughout the whole hotel. I booked for us for $88 Can a night including taxes and a full Japanese style breakfast buffet. Something different each day. There's a welcome gift with bath beads, body scrubber , foot and body aromatherapy patches. There are other things as well. You can ask for a package every day if you want. We really only wanted the aromatherapy pads for our tired feet. The room had a bunch bed but we never used it because our stuff had to go up there. This is because there was barely enough room to walk around in the room. Very small even for Japanese people. We had to ask the staff to please remove the office chair or we would have had no place for even o w suitcase.

Usual japanese stlye hotel, with standard small rooms. The good thing, you can choose your pillow style at the reception. Clean and there is an every day housekeeping. Lot of sights nearby, and easy to access to the train.

WHAT TO EXPECT: 1) 15 minutes walk to Shinyokohama station 2) Room is small, but clean and adequate. Would be perfect for a short stay 3) Check-out free. Where you'll be given a combination number to enter the room, and no check out required 4) Free breakfast from the vending machine (cup noodles and coffee). However, it's very long Q during breakfast time and most tables were taken. My advice, head to the nearby cafe for cheap and delicious breakfast. 5) Many types of pillow available. 6) Fast WiFi DOWN SIDE: Don't expect more than above average "Business" hostel. No service is available. With a good price, I think its good choice to sleep here for a night or two.

This was my first stay at any of the Super Hotels, but I don't think it will be the last. I had a wonderful stay for 6 nights last month, and there were a number of standout features that made this hotel easily my favorite in the Shin-yokohama area. With the walkways over the roads outside of Shin-Yokohama station, this hotel is really no less convenient to get to with luggage compared to more visibly close hotels such as the Grace or the Prince. For the money, the amenities are also much better, in my opinion. First, the room itself. It was small, but very typical of hotels in the area. The room is locked by a keypad, which you type a key code into. Unlike some other hotels that have been doing this recently in Japan, this one auto-locks, which is very welcome. The bathroom is a bit cramped and elevated from the floor of the room (you need to step up into it), but again, this seems pretty typical of business hotels. They give you a piece of candy if you return the toothbrush they provide to the front desk. The room has a fridge, AC, TV, and internet access (again, typical). The bed was comfortable, and they emphasize that they want you to have a good night's sleep. That brings me to the front desk area. From the area around the front desk, you can get pillows of various firmness levels (whatever your liking is), as well as access the coin laundry, computer room and vending machines. They also serve breakfast in a large room off of the front desk area. The women at the front desk are friendly and always eager to help you with whatever you might be in need of. They can schedule your room cleaning so that it is cleaned only every other day, etc. and in exchange, they provide you bottles of water for each day you skip the room cleaning. They can also arrange to ship your luggage to the airport, your next hotel, or your home (if you live in Japan). The breakfast was a nice variety, and I think just about everyone would find things they'd be able to eat. For the price, having breakfast included of this caliber is truly amazing. They had salad, fresh pastries, some meats, hard-boiled eggs, and some fruit or yogurt each morning. It was really quite a reasonable spread. All in all, I was very pleased with my stay, and I am looking forward to my next visit!

Super Hotels are dotted all over Japan, and offer very reasonably priced hotel rooms (smoking and no-smoking, single, double, family). They are very clean. The rooms are small (not to say cramped) and not ideal for those wishing to do anything more than sleep in them. The bathroom is tiny, and the bath might be a challenge for some visitors. There are air-conditioing/heating units, and air circulators (for dust and allergen extraction), and of course a TV, hair dryer and kettle. Please use the slippers provided when inside the room. The breakfast is a combination of Japanese and Western food, with free coffee from an automat. This one is about 5 minutes from the JR station and the shinkansen tracks. Please note: this one is NOT in Yokohama centre (although there is one there too, but we were a bit late booking, so ...)

We are a family of 2 adults and 1 child. Stayed there for 2 nites. We arrived very late at nite and they were kind enough to wait for us after we called them beforehand to let them know. The reception spoke limited English. Location of the hotel is a street parallel to Shin Yokohama station, about 5 mins walk. Quite a few cheap local restaurants to eat and during lunchtime, the restaurants set up stalls outside to sell bento. The bento boxes were cheap ($5-$6USD) and freshly made. Hotel does not provide bottle water, so we had to buy from the local convenience store. Family room had a double bed with a single bed bunk bed. Make sure you pick your pillows early from the pigeon hole near reception otherwise the pillows provided in the room were really hard as it was filled with rice husks. The room was really small and crammed, we could hardly move around. There were too many things in the room but it was very clean. Breakfast was basic and the hours was 6:30-8:30am. It doesnt change much from day to day. Make sure you dont have any big luggages, as the lift to the rooms was very small. Also, there is no safe deposit in the room. We chose this hotel as it was near the station and was convenient to take the shinkansen (JR Pass) to Kyoto.
