This was my first stay at any of the Super Hotels, but I don't think it will be the last. I had a wonderful stay for 6 nights last month, and there were a number of standout features that made this hotel easily my favorite in the Shin-yokohama area. With the walkways over the roads outside of Shin-Yokohama station, this hotel is really no less convenient to get to with luggage compared to more visibly close hotels such as the Grace or the Prince. For the money, the amenities are also much better, in my opinion. First, the room itself. It was small, but very typical of hotels in the area. The room is locked by a keypad, which you type a key code into. Unlike some other hotels that have been doing this recently in Japan, this one auto-locks, which is very welcome. The bathroom is a bit cramped and elevated from the floor of the room (you need to step up into it), but again, this seems pretty typical of business hotels. They give you a piece of candy if you return the toothbrush they provide to the front desk. The room has a fridge, AC, TV, and internet access (again, typical). The bed was comfortable, and they emphasize that they want you to have a good night's sleep. That brings me to the front desk area. From the area around the front desk, you can get pillows of various firmness levels (whatever your liking is), as well as access the coin laundry, computer room and vending machines. They also serve breakfast in a large room off of the front desk area. The women at the front desk are friendly and always eager to help you with whatever you might be in need of. They can schedule your room cleaning so that it is cleaned only every other day, etc. and in exchange, they provide you bottles of water for each day you skip the room cleaning. They can also arrange to ship your luggage to the airport, your next hotel, or your home (if you live in Japan). The breakfast was a nice variety, and I think just about everyone would find things they'd be able to eat. For the price, having breakfast included of this caliber is truly amazing. They had salad, fresh pastries, some meats, hard-boiled eggs, and some fruit or yogurt each morning. It was really quite a reasonable spread. All in all, I was very pleased with my stay, and I am looking forward to my next visit!…
