For Info: 3 stars means the following; Properties that deliver a broad range of amenities that exceed above-average accommodation needs. Good quality service, design and physical attributes are typically fit for purpose to match guest expectations. Our experience during New Year ; We are from Denmark (my husband & I and our 5 teenage/young adult kids), we booked 4 rooms & decided to cut our 3 night stay (30th Dec to 2nd Jan) one night short. We would not recommend the hotel Muine Ocean Resort & Spa due to the following; 1) They played music from 3 pm in the afternoon to early morning that my husband measured to 97 decibels in our room (ocean front bungalow - their best room) equivalent to the noise if you were trying to rest or sleep on a high speed motorway. 2) There were cockroaches in one of the kids bathrooms 3) Upon arrival the sheets were dirty in 2 of the kids rooms. When asked to change they didn’t see the need. 4) In general hygiene was horrid. A peek into their kitchen and they would have made “Kitchen Nightmares” any day 5) My daughter went to the pool bar to order drinks (coconut water, cola and water, as well as some snacks - crisps or nuts), but there was no personnel. She walked to the reception and asked if someone could help. They answered that they had run out of drinks, stuck 2 bottles of water in her hand and said if she wanted snacks, could go out and buy some out on the main street -> There were plenty of shops selling crisps and nuts. What were They thinking? 6) New Year’s eve on our way back from dining at another (superb service & hygiene) hotel. The personnel tried to chase us off the grounds, because they didn’t recognize us as their guests (7 people!) We were very tired at 1 am and just wanted to go to bed. Was certainly one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had and couldn’t get out of there fast enough. I think someone should re-rate this Hotel. Definitely not 3 stars. I would say 1. Positives The beach was beautiful & next time when we come back to Mui Me we will most certainly try to book a room at the Mia Hotel, where we enjoyed their ambiance in their dining & great service. The owner was friendly and chatty. He wa proud of all his Russian guests, who were probably 95% of his clientele. Though he said more & more Europeans were coming back to his hotel. We took a conscious decision not to burst his bubble & just get out of there :-( Word of warning for Mui Ne; Watch out for sand flies. They bit 2 of our kids who are now suffering from severe itching. We should have had an insect repellent with us!

We have just finished a 3 night stay at Mui Ne Oceam Resort. I’ll start with the good points: - Location - Beach access/private beach - Clean room (second time around) - Reception spoke good English For the bad points: - When we first arrived we were given a cave to sleep in (no exaggeration) they call it ‘sleeping in the natural environment’. We went straight to reception and said this is not what we’d booked and they moved us to a different room, which was fine. - There were gaps between the doors and windows which meant the room did have a lot of mosquitos - Overrun by Russians as the hotel is owned by a Russian so we felt slightly out of place (like most of the area) - Breakfast was good, however we only really had eggs, toast and fruit which were great! However they served spaghetti bolognese, chicken nuggets etc which was slightly odd! - Kite surf school was closed - No bikes to rent (unlike most of the other hotels we’d stayed in in Vietnam for less money!) - Not that this is the hotel fault, but the hotel next door plays head banging music until around 9.30-10pm, so be weary if you are planning on staying here with children. The hotel just needs a huge update and a lot of work doing to it. The potential is there, just needs a lot of work to be great.

We are staying here for 3 nights and so far it's been great. Breakfast is included in the room charge and it was a really good feed. Rooms are not huge but big enough. Hot water in the shower was perfect, just what we needed after a big day. Laying by the huge pool and the ocean only 50 metres away...how good is that. The garden setting is magnificent, carefully trimmed and well maintained. Was a great place. Prices are reasonable and staff are very friendly. This is going to be a great holiday. Thank you and will definitely come back again.

We accidentally arrived 1 day early and although the resort was fully booked they found a solution for us. After travelling for many hours we appreciated the gesture a lot! The beach is lovely, the staff is very friendly. Wifi works perfectly fine, we even watched some movies on our i-pad. The neighbours can be noisy but they stop in time at night. The fruit juice around the corner is very tasty (we had one every day). There are many other restaurants walking distance from thr resort. The resort is located is in the Russian area, so Russian food isn't hard to find which was nice for my husband who lived in Moscow for some years.

We had such a lovely time here. Hung greeted us by name when we arrived and escorted us to our room. We were right on the beach and could hear the waves all night- it was wonderful. The breakfast buffet is very well done. The palapas and beach chairs were so relaxing- I love that this is a smaller resort and we weren't surrounded by fifty other people! Though the rooms and bungalows are a little eclectic in architecture we appreciated the mix. The grounds are very well kept. Thank you so much for a perfect vacation!

Worst experience ever in a hotel. I stayed there for a weekend with friends. There was a lot mosquitoes in the room, me and my friends ended up with a dozen of mosquito bites. Besides, staff will charge you USD15 if you forgot to bring back their towel left on their own private desk chairs near the beach. I definitely do not recommend this hotel. Price is high for what you have and there are better hotels than this one nearby.

We stayed for 4 days in Feb 2015. The hotel has nice clean bungalows and a private beach. We liked that. The beach lounging area only had a bar, if you get hungry. Tough luck! The breakfast buffet is ok. Nothing to write home about. But it's free and is nourishing. The staff are very polite and helpful, rooms clean, location acceptable. You may have to walk or take a taxi (very reasonable), if you are in a mood to eat non Vietnamese food. The neighbors can get noisy in occasion but music usually ends by 9:30 pm. My biggest gripe with this place is horrible, just horrible WiFi connectivity in our room and even common areas.

Spent a few Nights at Maine Ocean Resort & Spa. The room was nice and clean, so no complaints about that. However, staff was not very friendly but rather reserved at best. Breakfast was not good, offering a few choices but poorly cooked. Also, expect to be tucked in to the loud tunes of "Lambada" played at the hotel bar late at night.

We had a night in the resort and would like to share our experience, the air conditioner in the room got water leaking and the room became flooding overnight. Even we have booked in advance and noted that we need the good room. The next day the maintenance guide came and a waterfall of water continue to come down from the troubled air conditioner. Actually, no flexible plan from the resort such as suggestion for changing room at all. So try to avoid this resort as there are many other resorts around with better facilities. The breakfast is quite poor with little selection.

I'll start with on a positive note, this resort has a private beach and is not to far from the main strip. Now to the reasons why one should stay clear from this place. 1. Noise from staff at 7am 2. Filthy worn out bungalow 3. I was the only none Russian guest All this cost me a $100 for one night. As you can imagine I bailed the next morning.
