We stayed there several times in August. Remarkably well maintained hotel. Thanks to Mr. Ram the director and the entire team. Kang La Chen does not always change this touch of authenticity which is missing in many other establishments. Comfort and cleanliness, superb garden with apricot trees. Thanks again Guy and Karine

The area of hotel and unner rooms like restaurant and garden are in very good condition. The location of hotel is perfect and its close to everything. If i could i would recommend to all who are planning to go there ask for better bed, we were group of 9 people and some of us had problems with sleeping due to older matresses. Kitchen area is beautiful, but food is really on average. For example cheese sandwich is prepared with old cheese and its more like chips on the sides than cheese. Paratha is too dry, but if u will go for Rice, that one is perfectly made! Also one more thing to mention… staff is super friendly, they wants to work and wants to help, they can also help you to manage trips and permits and everything including oxygen bomb, fantastic! Due main positive reasons i would choose this hotel also next time. Thank you somkuch!…

The Kang Lha Chen hotel is very charming !! It is located in one of the oldest city's building in the city center. The rooms are spacious and pleasant and it has a beautiful and peaceful garden. It also has a locker room where you can leave a bag if you are going away for a while. The manager speaks good English, other staff less. From the Kang Lha Chen hotel all places of Leh city center are reachable on foot.

Amazing heritage hotel, right in the center of Leh, yet away from the crowds, chaos of town, soft beds & great duvets, nice hot shower is all we needed after a long n tiring tour of Zanskar on our motorbikes, we stayed here all 3 times, we came back to Leh from Nubra Pangong, Umling La, Zanskar routes, excellent base to explore Ladakh, we are surely going to come back soon!

I stayed in this nice hotel for a week and enjoyed it very much. It has a beautiful garden with apricot trees where I liked to relax, write postcards and enjoy the beautiful flowers. The hotel is quite central but you are still away from the masses in the market roads. You can either eat in their restaurant with a good variety of Indian dishes or you can chose from many in town of course. Everything is just minutes away. Manager and team are very kind. I liked this little oasis very much and had always a good sleep - very good mattresses!

It was difficult to find a good quality hotel in the centre of Leh, but we were very pleased with the Kang Lha Chen. the staff were extremely kind and attentive, particularly the manager Ram Kumar, for whom nothing was too much trouble. Room was comfortable with a good bed and a newly renovated bathroom with excellent hot shower. Breakfast was sufficient, either a small buffet or to order, depending on occupancy. The hotel is quiet and has a lovely garden area. The hotel also arranged us a car and driver and the necessary permit to visit Nubra Valley and Pangong Lake (both highly recommended) at fair prices. Thank you Mr Ram and your excellent team!

I have visited Leh 4 times, stayed in other 5* hotels earlier. This is 2nd time I am staying in this Hotel. This is one of the best hotel for the stay and for a wonderful food. Hotel is situated just 500m to the main Market. Spacious hotel rooms and nice ambience. Hotel staff is very much kind, cooperative and cordial. Manager Ram is very humble to his customer. I must say we had a best stay at Leh. Thank KanglaChen for all the hospitality. Talk to Rinchen Dolma for the taxi support and other site visit Guidance. You may get the details from Mr.Ram.

We stayed I'm this hotel for 1 week. Pur rooms were were great compared to Leh standards. Service was top class and we were aways taken very well care of. One of the best things, was the peace in the hotel and in the garden. So nice, when you are very close to the noisy centre of town.

We stayed at Kang Cha Chen for a week in July 2022, following a long overland trip from Delhi, Kinnaur, Spiti and Lahaul. Kang Lha Chen was the right place to rest: it is wonderful place very close to the city center but very quiet. The room are large and beautiful with traditional furniture and great design. The inner garden is a plus and is a great place to rest after a long walk in Leh city center or in the valley. The manager Mr.Kumar and his staff deserve a special mention for their professionally and helpful advices. We met the owner as well and we had long chat drinking tea in the garden. He is a great source of information on Ladakh history, politics, religion and arts. We'll come back for sure. We checked in to this Hotel on 4th May, The manager Mr.Ram Kumar, welcomed us with a warm smile on a Chilly Day and checked us in. He gave us the necessary instructions and tips to get acclimatized for the high altitude experience. Thanks to his advise, none of the members in our group had to face the High Altitude Sickness. The hotel is quite calm even though it is situated on the Main road opposite to the Leh Police Station. The rooms were neat and the linen was fresh. The food was very good, even though the roads to the main land ( Through Sri Nagar or Manali ) were yet to open and fresh vegetables and fruits were yet to arrive, the manager tried his best to feed us well within the given circumstances. The staff were always smiling and helpful. The manager was very professional in his approach and very helpful to the guests and he took care of us very well. Thank You Mr.Ram the Manager. I have rarely come across a manager like him in my travel around the world. I recommend this hotel…
