The pictures on the web page are completely deceiving. These pictures were probably taken before the pandemia. The personnel are very friendly and kind, but they are really working with a tight budget. Our soap ran out, and they didn't replace it, we had to go and ask for it as well as the toilet paper. No shampoo. There was no butter for the bread at breakfast, and breakfast was VERY poor. Very disappointing, those pictures don't represent the hotel right now.

If you are a traveling to Cali Colombia, STEER CLEAR from HOTEL PUERTA DE SAN ANTONIO unless you have a PRINTED reservation of some kind, the receptionists are ruthless and completely discriminatory, and will not have a problem endangering your life. We made the DIRE mistake thinking that we could approach the hotel for lodging since mind you they were not answering the phone, and we were pretty close so we decided to grab an Uber and inquire directly to see if any rooms were available. It was pretty late, around 12:30 at night. The receptionist, took one look at US and did not even ALLOW us entry into the lobby. She spoke through the miniscule crack in the sliding doors, "We are full, sorry." It's fine if they are full, but mind you, it was ALMOST 1 AM at night, and she didn't even open the Hotel doors for us so we could wait for our next tranportation, which left us completely exposed and without transportation for a full 15 MINUTES. She refused us entry to even the Lobby so that we could be SAFE while we ordered another UBER. In the middle of the night, in CALI, a city that can become very dangerous very quickly. She could definitely see that we were afraid and alone, and showed absolutely no empathy or even solution, on the contrary she seemed disgusted and annoyed at us. The sad part is, we have paid lodging there before, a total of 3 nights, it was not only extremely humiliting to not even be viewed as a human being, she treated us like we were stray animals trying to look for shelter when all we needed was a safe space to stand in a building in a lobby while our other transportation arrived. I WILL NEVER ever give my business to these people again. What a shameful way to treat people of any color, do better HOTEL PUERTA DE SAN ANTONIO. Thank God one of the public transportation routes in the area was still working, and we were able to get on it and proceeded to go to a safe place.

We were in the hotel for 7 nights with a 3 years old child. It was very clean , every day we got our sheets and towels changed and the place has a hot water which is not common here. The location is perfect ,close to the center and San Antonio with many restaurants and bars in a walking distance. The personal was nice and helpful . Maybe they can improve the breakfast ,it was boring ,the same eggs , bread ,rice and cheese and almost the same fruits every day but for the price it was ok. If we come again in Cali we will stay here.

The restaurant has special menus on Thursdays and Fridays, which looked good value. But we visited on a Tuesday so we ate a la carte. Nice steaks and a good range of desserts in a cosy atmosphere. Friendly service also. Recommended.

Right on the edge of San Antonio walking distance to restaurants and parks. Friendly staff. Nice rooms with large bathrooms. Interesting historic area. Average breakfast included in the mornings. Seemed a difficult location for the taxis to find.

We stayed here for 2 nights and it's very nice. It's clean and modern and only a few minutes walk to shops, bars and resturants. The buffet breakfast was very nice woth a choice of fruit, bread, meat, eggs, yogurt and cereal. The only things we found were it's a little noisy during the day and the hot water in the shower only lasted about 3 minutes. We would recommend staying here.

I stayed here for two nights as part of our Tucan Tour of Columbia. The hotel was convenient location to many restaurants and bars in the San Antonio area. The front desk and breakfast area staff were all very friendly and helpful. The sleeping room was nice, very clean, modern and with a very modern bathroom. Nice buffet breakfast. I tried eating at the hotel dining room for dinner, but the service was slow. Very near this hotel, walk to the left then left again on main road is a wonderful, large Columbian restaurant, serving a wide variety of Columbian dishes at excellent prices. I ate there for lunch and dinner.

The rooms in this hotel are spatious and modern. However during the 3 nights we stayed here we didn't get warm water to shower. We made complaints about this, but they didn't offer us any solution. They simply told us that because it is hot in Cali, hot water isn't necessary. The only moment to take a hot shower was in the middle of the night when everyone was asleep or in the middle of the day when the hotel was empty. Furthermore the hotel is noisy, and the entrance and breakfast area need serious renovations. I've stayed in hostels that were 10 times better.

This hotel has been completely snd nicely renovated recently. An elevator is being installed and should be finished before long. The breakfast was very good with cereal, breads, sliced cheese and cold cuts, eggs made to order, fruit, and juice, along with coffee and hot cocoa. Some of the day staff speak English. There is a hair dryer in bathroom and a minibar refrigerator. The staff is very helpful and attentive. There are some minor and not so minor problems. Lighting in hallways is very poor and staff keeps shutting off the hallway lights while we keep turning them on. The bedside lights are also extremely weak so that you have to keep overhead lights on to read. I finally put the desk lamp by the bed to read in bed. The maids need more training!! We stayed 4 nights and the maid never left two bath towels although two of us occupied the room. The night attendant seemed new and couldn't get us another towel, but on the other days the afternoon attendant understood the problem and got us our towels. One time the maid even forgot the bathmat. When we arrived for the first night, the maid put the blanket UNDER the top sheet. It looked nice, but made no sense. The rooms of our traveling companions was done this way too. Apparently, the maids were instructed not to do this after we questioned it. After our third night there, I became suspicious that the sheets weren't being changed as there was visible dirt on the bottom sheet that shouldn't be there. I had to resort to taking the sheets off the bed myself and balling them up on top of the bed to get her to put on fresh sheets. For these reasons I downgraded to 4 stars instead if 5. Also, for men shaving, the light could be better centered over the bath mirror. The hotel is conveniently located for many attractions. We would stay there again despite the poorly trained maids.
