Assistant Manager Roger was a great help. Not many of the staff speak English but Roger was there to help sort things out, both in person and over the phone. He was exceptionally courteous and helpful. Last stay here four years previous I was given a free room upgrade; this time I was told that if I wanted a room with a window, I needed to pay extra. How times have changed. Four years ago the hotel seemed fresher and cleaner. Now it seems a little worn and not nearly as clean. Still, it was a good stay, with a comfortable bed, clean linens, plenty of hot water, and strong wifi connection.

We have been lived there for 3 nights this Jun. Booked it via Ctrip.com,roughly 500rmb per night(not including breakfast) and said it was a 5 star hotel. The first night we were given a room without window, though the room was good, and after that we changed to a better room with window, but face to a building under construction which means it was very noisy during the daytime from very early morning to night. No gym, no swimming pool, there is no wash room in the lobby, can't believe it is called a 5 star hotel. The location which was good, easy to get anywhere by bus, and by the way, the bus fee was incredibly cheap, only cost 1 RMB per trip, air-con bus! Be prepared with the coins with you because no change will be given.

We had high expectation after reading the reviews. But when we get there, we were a bit disappointed. Good things first, clean room, decent service and free drinks (yes, beer too). But our overall experience was just so so. The taxi drivers refused to drop us off at the hotel front entrance because it's at an inconvenient location on the side street. We had to carry our bags to walk about 5 mins to get to the main entrance. Second, the room we had quite small with no windows (a room with no windows to me is a closet), there's no indication of this on the description of the room online. Lastly, there really isn't anything to eat/see next to the hotel. We had to walk for about 10 minutes before reaching anything interesting...

A very comfortable room, tastefully designed and very complete amenities. The bed was outstanding, best I have slept in while in China. Breakfast was also excellent. Conveniently located, and walking distance to the Zhongshan Rd pedestrian area. Service was excellent although English is not widely spoken. On the negative side, there is no gym or bar or any other entertainment in the hotel, which may be important for some.

Although our rooms do not come with windows, they were nevertheless beautifully covered with beautiful wall papers. One of our rooms has a mermaid in an under water scene. Customer service was simply par excellent. Restaurant food was great and we were given 10% discount. Afternoon high tea was great with great view of the city. Location is very near Heping ferry terminal and shopping street is just 5 minutes walk away. Definitely a great choice hotel to explore Xiamen.

The location is good, the staff is friendly, and the breakfast is okey. It's the first time for us to visit this city. The staff is patient to explain the local attractions. Because of some unexpected events, I need to leave two days earlier. The staff help me to deal with two additional breakfast tickets and change them to lunch tickets during my stay, so I would not waste the tickets.

First walked into the room and was very impressed with the room size. Seperate lounge area and then a very big king size bed, very large bath seperate from the shower. Staying on the 25th floor in a Deluxe suit. The food is okay tasting for suppose to be Western breakfast. A lot to choose from if prefer Chinese style breakfast. Staff very friendly as our child is western and all want to say hi. Hotel is close to the ocean and shops. Only 1 problem is there is no access to the hotel lobby off the street which makes it very hard. And construction right across the street working until like 10pm every night. Other than that I would still recommend to stay in this room for sure.
