Lovely hotel in a good location. The hotel is basic but every amenity is provided in the room and the staff were excellent. They were very helpful in organizing trips. Good buffet breakfast. I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel has only one star, so for a hotel in not the most developed country in Asia the expectations should be zero. We had a room for three persons, which was spacious and clean. The furniture seemed quite new and the beds were comfortable. There was a small fridge and soap was provided. The staff was friendly and could arrange taxis lower than the tourist price. I do not get all the complaints on this forum. You cannot expect the Hilton for a one star hotel. I did not have any problem with smokers like other people wrote in their comment. But according to the staff the non smoking signs were written in Chinese, because they do not care about anything. I would certainly recommend the hotel.

This hotel is not bad for the money and I have no complaints. The rooms are fairly clean, big and there is hot water in for a shower. The bed is not especially comfortable but it does the job and the WiFi is OK for Myanmar, the same goes for breakfast. I wasn't able to book a hotel in advance but I was able to get this place from the airport which was a big relief. If you are forced into staying here because you were not able to book any where earlier do not fret. It's location is quite good for exploring the city and the service is fine.

Hi, not sure what the other reviewers were on about - one in particular sounded just spiteful. I have travelled in approx 60 countries and this hotel was satisfactory and centrally located. You must keep in mind that most hotels in Myanmar are quite basic and not as clean or modern as we in the west are used to. So whilst the rooms are not great in terms of comfort, they are adequate. I thought the owner (chinese-Burmese) was very helpful, all the other staff were very warm and welcoming. I had a lot of cash with me and the cleaner even saw me put it in my case and not a cent taken. So this is a safe and adequate option and location is excellent It is not the Ritz but at peak season for $35 this was alright

Asked for a price with manager, agreed on price, come back later that day and increased price and changed room. Room was disgraceful, old, needs repairs, no hot water, smelled of smoke although claimed it was a non smoking room. very dirty and overpriced. Manager is rude and arrogant. Other reviewers have said it, and I must agree, this is without doubt the worst hotel in Myanmar. To put a very long story short, if you are reading this review avoid this hotel completely. If you do choose this hotel, you have been warned.

Since there were no other availabilities within our budget of $ 60 (double room, 2 pax) we had to book this awful hotel. Firstly reception staff did not even welcome us on arrival. A few words were passed in my direction and the key was nearly thrown at me. The porters were helpful but once entering the room we found ourselves in teh worst room in Myanmar during our 5 week trip. We'd read the previous review and o we were prepared but unfortunately nothing had changed in de passed two years. Extremely dirty bathroom, occupied by ants, spiders and other unidentifiable species. The carpet in the room was full of filth. Electricity was hanging loose from the walls and ceiling. We checked the mattresses, pilows, blankets and sheets. They appeared to be quite new. The following day our guide tried to get us into another hotel but unless we were willing to pay $ 300 per night for the next two nights we were stuck in this indeed dirty and overpriced hotel.

I was forced to stay in this dump as the hotel that I had booked (and prepaid) refused to admit that I had done so and was overbooked. As a result this place knew that i was in a dificult possition without accomodation, so they charged me far over the odds for a terrible room. This place is filthy death trap, the kind of third world hotel that you see on CNN with "50 die in XXXXXX hotel blaze" as the headline. I could go on about the hotels shortcomings for pages but I will leave it at this: It is a filthy dump with disgusting rooms and no service, do not even think about staying there!
