family property, is one of the oldest house in the city. it was little by little restored by the family, to house the guest from around the globe who are on budget, yet want to have privacy, enjoy the panoramic view of the bay while having breakfast or by just connecting with family and friends thru free wifi connection...with private garden, and talkative birds, in the mini forest.... 3 minutes from the beach... 5 mins from the airport, walking distance to the banks, malls and market....have a clean kitchen if you want to cook your food....most of all the hospitality and friendly service of the staff and the owner.....24/7....a home and family in the Philippines.

Lovely hostel with super friendly owner. This place has a lovely atmosphere and free water refills and coffee. And puppies! It's not on the main road but is easy to find and cheap to get to by trike. Unfortunately WiFi wasn't working while we were there, obviously not standard here as owner kept apologizing. Most restaurants are the other side of Puerta near the airport but it's again cheap to get to by trike. Check out Dream Cafe round the corner which has good cheap food and good internet.

The room is good for a backpacker although I think some of the facilities (e.g. bathroom) need renovation and better maintenance. My room was a bit dusty and I even caught a cold when I stayed there... The place is walking distance from the baywalk area where there are lots of good food choices and hang-out place at night.

This review is for the air conditioned house at the rear of the property. Not the backpacker/hostel house at the front of the property. They are managed by the same owner. Keep in mind this review is also based upon life in the Philippines. This is not a rental at Orlando or Ft. Walton beach. All that said, here we go. This is an absolute great property for a family vacation. There are 2 fully functional latrine/shower rooms with hot(warm) showers. The property has 4 bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms are small and two are good sized. The master bedroom has its' own private latrine facility. Each bedroom has a dedicated conditioner unit. Although the common area does not have a dedicated AC it gets cooled via the room AC units. 2 of the bedrooms even have fans to pipe the cool air into the common areas. I would consider the whole house air conditioned. The common area consists of a dining room style set up. We used this area as our dining and living area. There is no 'couch' area but the common dining room worked fine to hang out in and is where the TV is mounted. Since I mentioned the TV; there is a good supply of channels. Everything from cartoons to news. WIFI was reliable as well. I personally enjoyed the porch. Due to the location at the rear of the property this house is physically separated from the hostel house by a fence. This means the porch and yard (this yard. There is common yard area for the hostel)are really for this house only. The day I BBQ'd the owner even sent some workers over to cut the grass. The facility has a small restaurant, offers laundry service, provided 5 gallons of drinking water (with a hot/cold dispenser), provided all cooking utensils w/ pots & pans, provided clean towels, and were always able and willing to accommodate any request. As far as security is concerned.. (Always something to think about when traveling).. this facility is ideal. It has the physical barrier of a perimeter wall, is on a street that is not to busy and not to vacant, is obscure enough to not be a target, and the gate gets locked at night. Travelers can ring the bell for access. I personally believe this house is additionally secured by being the second house on the property (behind another fence). From the street view this house is not visible and no street crime opportunity would follow a traveler to the house. I forgot to mention the stove is outside on the porch. This is common in the Philippines and is no problem at all. There is a sink co-located with the stove so working outside is easy. Inside the house is a toaster oven for warming up leftovers. All in all if you are going to be in Puerto and need an economical, clean, & pleasant property I highly recommend the Puerto Bayview Inn on Manalo St. Last thing, Tri-cyles are easy to catch from this facility as well. No problem any time of the day.

I only stayed here for one night, but I loved it! The rooms were small but as a backpacker you don't need much. It had a bed, fan, nightstand, and a little dresser. Plus a mosquito net which was a huge bonus! All the staff were incredibly friendly, and the owner was absolutely lovely. She personally cooked my breakfast in the morning, and it was delicious! The bathrooms were clean, nothing spectacular but the water was refreshingly cool and had good pressure. They also had free wifi which was spectacular! Overall I would stay here again. The gardens and decor were lovely as were the hammocks they had out front.

A five story old wooden house built in 1940s which occupied by both Japanese & Americans during the WW11. Old features of the once ilustró residence are retained surrounded by flora & fauna that's truly homely & relaxing for travellers on shoe string. Yes, I heard various sounds of geckos, chickens & birds which was a typical country side life. Very good value for money as you can avail of free filtered water, cheap breakfast, clean & comfortable atmosphere. The very asset of this inn is the warm hospitality, kindness & friendliness of the staff specially the owner. I was invited along with a few other guests for a filipino meal & transported to the airport for free. 1 guest told me that she was given free accommodation whilst sick & looked after by the staff. Can you get that somewhere? I highly recommend this place & will return next year enjoy the 5star hospitality.

The place is nice outside and relaxing, the rooms are not bad, of course with basic services. The shared men's bathroom the worst part...but for that cheap rate is more than enough...location is ok, in quiet place close to baypark view

We transferred to another hotel since the Manager was just a little tough on her words, she could have explained/reminded us with the don't but instead scolded us which is a bad way to do business. Maybe she was having a bad day or something. Anyway, place was great and staff were good. Manager? - she has to learn good business ethics.

We stayed here for 2 nights and had a pleasant stay. They have a nice garden and places to sit outside and free wifi which works most of the time. The staff was ok. One thing was that we gave the clothes to wash and the housekeeper gave os back the clean clothes, but smallier then before. We were a bit disappointed with the service. Now this place is a bit in a local area which is nice. But a bit pricy then the average price, nearly like 200 pesos more.
