Namirembe Guest Ltd is a Christian establishment owned by the Anglican Church of Uganda and managed by Church Commissioners holding company ltd. Her vision is “to become an ideal home away from home” to all visitors. Namirembe Guest House is an entity established to provide accommodation, food and beverage services to a cross section of guests ranging from missionaries, church workers, businessmen, tourists and other individuals. Corporate clients include Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs), Private Companies and Associations and Government organizations. It is located approximately one and half kilometers from the city centre and right next to the famous Namirembe Cathedral and Church of Uganda Provincial Secretariat Headquarters and commands a magnificent view of Kampala city which was dubbed by one of the guests as “A million dollar view.”
The guest house is not luxurious but it meets your needs and is reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and helpful. They will arrange a taxi pick up to or from the airport on request and you pay for it as part of your bill. They will accept Ugandan Shillings or US Dollars. Rooms are fairly basic but comfortable with good mosquito nets. Rooms at the front in the newer block have great views across the city.

Excellent guest house not far out of Kampala city, somewhat away from all the noise, chaos and smells of the city. The rooms were functional, clean and of a good size. The staff were most obliging. The location has a restaurant serving reasonably priced local and European food. This is not a luxury hotel but well worth the money.

I have stayed here several times and always find it to be a safe relaxing place in the centre of busy Kampala. Good food and very clean rooms. Very good value for the money. This time we had a room on the 5th floor with an amazing view of Kampala. In addition, I always seem to meet extremely interesting people here.

My first and last stay in Uganda. When I first arrived it was my first lodge to stay in, staff were welcoming, room was good, very spacious with balcony. They even have a gym which looked equiped. Food was great. When i returned for my last day in Uganda they remembered me which was a nice touch. Great place to stay if you're in the city and comes with gate security.

One of my favorites! Clean, courteous, airport limo. You will rest in a safe environment. Perfect for one who travels alone. There is no elevator or attention to ADA standards and this could be a challenge for some. I'm grateful this gem was recommended.

We stayed a week in a twin room on the third floor.& although the facilities are basic our room was spacious, clean & had a great view of St. Paul’s Cathedral. The mosquito nets were in good condition & the staff were very friendly. There was restaurant with a lovely view of the city but the food was better elsewhere in Kampala. I felt safe here & would stay here again

Always welcomed like long lost relatives. Very obliging staff. Comfortable room ( Plumbing a bit basic and tap was broken but I was so thankful to have my own facilities ) In the room- mozzie nets and a fan to keep air moving, and a really comfy bed . Food here is just delicious and a lovely choice. Clean and presented well. Thank you Namirembe guest house staff
