Detailed Reviews
While the lobby is modern and stylish, the hotel overall and rooms lack atmosphere.
There is no inviting place to sit in the evening or dine nicely.
While the website promises sauna and whirlpool, this is only on ahead reservation for an additional high charge!
The fitness area is outdated.

Dear Mauscla, thank you for your review. The hotel has different types of rooms in different styles - standard with a pleasant atmosphere, superior with 60´s style and design with a glass bathroom and amazing views of the town. We regret that you did not choose one that would had interested you more. You can use our a la carte restaurant and a snack bar both opposite the reception area for a nice evening. Information and prices of sauna and whirlpool are available on the website and the reception desk staff would proces the booking for you easily. Thank you for your visit, we will be happy to welcome you again!

The bed was comfortable with one large pillow. There was a small bathroom closet with a toilet and tiny sink with a pocket door, across the hall was a nice shower with a rainwater shower head and heated towel rack. The breakfast was good with a nice variety of food.

The hotel is very nice. Good location and great breakfast. The room is very nice, warm and clean. The restaurant though has very limited wine list. The dinner though is not that good and the options for drinks in the bar are not so many.

Dear Chara, thank you for your review and a nice rating of rooms and breakfast. There is a special wine list in our restaurant, which contains about 40 kinds of regional and 20 kinds of foreign wines - we regret that you did not choose from it. Other beverages offers the snack bar close to the a la carte restaurant. It is true, that our bar Cohiba Club Conti with the widest range of alcoholic beverages is currently available for pre-booked parties. Thank you for your visit, we will be happy to welcome you again.

The worst stay ever! Budget hotel, most of the room without heating, everything on economy mode! Extremely cold in the room, very hard mattresses, can’t sleep at all, poor breakfast, bar working until 9 p.m., although everywhere written that until 10 p.m. Hotel should be rate 3 stars, definitely not 4 stars. Not worth the money offered. Not recommended.

Neutral styling, not fancy, but clean and fresh. Very good breakfast, helpful staff in the reception and in the breakfast restaurant. The room was good, with everything as you would expect at this price level.
Secure underground garage.

Small (very!) rooms and a feel of a place needing a bit of investment. Bizarre colour scheme in the room too. Breakfast like a school dining hall though perfectly fine. Staff in desk helpful and pleasant. You won’t moan but you won’t be wowed.

I'm not sure what the negative reviewers of this hotel could possibly find to complain about given the price, location and good service. This is not a gracious architectural gem, certainly - the hotel is in a purpose-built tower block, rather out of place with its surroundings- but it provides an excellent base for business or tourism.
I stayed here on business for a week, in an airy, spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped room with en-suite shower room. My spacious private balcony had views south and east, catching the morning light and the reflected glow of sunsets (others look west towards castle or south towards the old town). Room design is modern-functional, with good beds. Plenty of sockets at the desk space for laptop, cell phone etc. Good, speedy, free wifi in room and around the hotel.
Excellent front office and restaurant/cafe service - restaurant and cafe were both quiet when I was there, a relief after a busy day . Good middle-European cuisine. The breakfast room is large and not particularly elegant, but airy and sunny with a generous and plentiful buffet which is constantly replensished. If you prefer a more tranquil experience, for a modest price breakfast can be served in your room
Interesting lobby and cafe/restaurant architecture suggests an homage to the 1930s modernism of the World Heritage Villa Tugendhat, one of the jewels of Brno.
There is a reasonably priced car park, and a thermal bath and treatment centre in the basement for those who like such things. Taxis wait outside, and/or can be quickly summoned by telephone from reception. Multilingual staff at desk and in cafe/restaurant.
Very convenient for opera, galleries, the University and the old town; close to tram system but not so close as to be noisy. A short taxi ride from the main railway station, the commercial centre, the Castle and the Tugendhat Villa.
Would definitely stay again.
A couple of drawbacks:
Outgoing emails using the hotel internet connection have to be by webmail; but no problem with incoming mail
Limited television channels - only CNN and Eurosport in English; but wifi offers excellent bandwidth for streamed BBC Radio etc

The hotel is a bit far away from the train station (20mins walk). But it's not a problem to find it on the map. And easy to explore the city from the hotel once you know the direction. Acceptable price, nice room, good facility, helpful staff, good breakfast and free internet to use.

I've stayed here frequently over the past six months, and for a business traveller it's great. Excellent location, more or less in the city centre. The rooms are not over generous in size, and on one occasion, travelling with my spouse, double occupancy for any length of time confirmed this. But for the sole traveller, ideal. The rooms are up-to-date, bright and cheerful, well maintained, and with excellent housekeeping. Plenty power-points, good wifi, comfy beds, and so on. Staff always helpful. Breakfast is a feast, not just in quality and quantity, but with a really imaginative range of food.
But the highlight? You must sample the svestkove knedliky (plum dumplings) from the restaurant/bar. Food of the gods! I say no more.

A hotel that probably was built in the soviet era, that went through lot of improvement. Colourful rooms, but mine was smelling of tobacco and mold. The food served in the restaurant was average, nothing special or tasty. Simple and edible, without fine dining touch.
