It was a good hotel but the rooms were small ad no lift. But its very central. The staff is very good. The hotel was walking distance to the famous Victoria market built in 1878. The city centre was a few stops from the tram.

This is what we came back to after a long day out.. enough said! :) The bed was comfy, shower was amazing! Tv has lots of channels. Really no issues other than I hate when hotels put unwashed cushions on the bed and it touches the pillows ..

This is a basic travelers hotel - no catering. Rooms are clean, beds comfortable, bathrooms good. Nothing fancy. Price is good. Staff are all friendly and obliging, from desk staff to cleaners. Location is good, with cafes, restaurants and supermarket close by. A walk to Victoria market, close to tram stop.

The hotel is in a great location, close enough to everything you need in the CBD but far enough that you don’t have to put up with the chaos of the city. The rooms although they are not large they have everything that you need with very clean amenities.

We chose the Miami because it was very close to the venue we were going to see a live show at. What a gem. Right from our arrival, staff were helpful and friendly. Nothing seemed too much trouble. We were given an upgrade that gave as a fabulous view of the city. Our room was large, bed very comfortable, bathroom well appointed (they even had shaving cream), couple of chairs to sit on and, one thing we love, mugs for tea or coffee. Everything was spotless. WiFi was good. There is parking on site at a fee. Some undercover but also spaces for those higher vehicles that can’t fit underneath. There is a guest kitchen which would be great for longer stays. We stayed on a Friday night and had no noise issues. Cafes, pubs and restaurants are all within walking distance and a tram stop is just down the road. On our trips into town, we usually stay at a much more expensive hotel but from now on the Miami will be our go to property. Very reasonably priced, great staff and comfortable beds, what more could you ask for?

Our family room was adequate the beds were good. Nice to have a kettle and fridge. We could walk to our Melbourne destinations. It was quiet and enjoyable. We recommend this hotel to budget conscious, but discriminating travellers.

We stayed here for three nights in the end after originally booking for two. Ideal location close to a few shops and cafes and good for transport into Melbourne or walking into the city. Reception staff were fantastic and so friendly. Rooms clean and tidy and had everything you need. Reasonably priced for what you get. Would stay again.

Room (2) had everything needed, including small fridge & wardrobe. Bathroom had wall hairdryer & towels, toiletries in dispensers on the shower wall. All very clean & well kept. As per previous reviews, heating was the only issue - we came back after a long day out to discover the heating on full blast. It had been a warm day & it was like hitting a wall of heat. The heating is controlled by the hotel; however, you can turn it off & change the temperature in your room (instructions provided on check in). We promptly turned it off & opened the window as far as possible. It eventually cooled down. It only happened one day, so I assume once you’ve turned it off it’ll stay off. This was not a huge deal, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if I’m in the area. We paid $5 per day for secure (gated) parking on site. We booked directly with the hotel (parking more if book though 3rd party). If you have a large 4WD let them know - there are only 4 spots, not under cover. Pre-booking parking is recommended as only 16 spaces for whole hotel.
