Good hotel for a very affordable price. We have been upgraded to a big room without extra charges. Clean and very comfortable room. The service is incredible. More than helpful with accommodations and services throughout the entire stay. The hotel is in a great location close to the beach.

The homestay gave us the impression of excellent, safe place to stay in. The staffs were very friendly and helpful with all the assistance that we required. It was very easy to get uber here to go around. Location and room are perfect. Next to the beach and close to famous tourist spots i.e Gurney, Batu Ferrighi and Georgetown. The room is huge - bed comfortable and clean bathroom. We ended up staying there for a week.

At first it was quite sketchy but when I came here with my mother & my other two siblings it was okay. The room is good. It was really close to the beach. The toilet still need improvement tho due to it was shared with other room. Mr. Ray could provide extra pillow. However, if you are renting a car, it was very close to place of attractions such Batu Feringghi, Georgetown & many more. You can get to any eateries by car & it is quite close too. Still need improvements but honestly overall is very good (for young adults)

It's was bloody stupid management! I have book a night stay for 27th..and the guy name Ray called me to make sure what time I will be arrive there and check in? And I have confirm him that I will be late bcz my flight is delay..and will arrive around 10 30 to 11 30 at night and he is already alert it and he says no problem. Well when I am there, there was nobody at all! Try ring the bell outside the door and no one came up! Call the bloody guy phone hundreds times but not pick up! Even just now! Can u guys imagine I came with bags and standing outside the homestay..alone and suddenly heavy rains and I am wet! What a bloody people they are! This is such big mistake I have book the room from internet. I am not expecting this will happen..bcz so far always okay when I book online any room! I want that bloody guy come and say something here about this incident. I am totally not happy.....!!!

Thank you Ray for having us as your guests. The host was very welcoming and we felt at home as soon as we landed in Penang. Clean, easily accessible, all the necessary amenities, lovely location and lovely host. we must have irritated our guest a lot by asking him so many questions (about the homestay, about travel in Penang, about places to visit in Penang), but he patiently answered all of it. :) Would definitely come back and will recommend it to my frnds and relatives.

We went there yesterday and stayed for a night. The family room is huge with 3 queen size beds..just nice for the six of us! The homestay is closed to the beach, hyper market and other tourist attractions.

Good: - Ray, the owner, was really nice and helpful - the house is nice, loads of space and quiet, although close to a big street. Not that good: - overall, the place is quite dirty and filthy. The rooms are mere ok, but especially the kitchen is a place not really to feel comfortable - the beach described is not nice at all. It's ok to have a first glance at the ocean, but not more. Overall: the place is ok for people who are not too accurate about cleanliness. Or who really have to save money. The Homestay is ok, because everything you need is there, from hot showers to drinking water. It's just all quite filthy. Public transport is ok to reach, a ten minute walk to the next bus stop. So is a big TESCO hyper market, 20 minute walk or two bus stops. We don't really recommend the place (until it's cleaned) and think that there are lot of other places to stay in Georgetown and on Penang Island.

We arrived late at the homestay after 9pm but the owner is very accomodating and helpful. I would say this is the perfect solution for us who is looking for a very safe peaceful place and a home atmosphere. We were given a double room and to be fair we get what we pay for. The room was clean and ours came with a wardrobe space and shower room. There is a common kitchen with nice basic set up and we use the refrigerator in the house to store. They have a wonderful garden with seating areas and lounge chairs, perfect for that twilight cocktail. Ray made us feel immediately at home and gave us spot-on recommendations to guide us throughout all of Penang. We were mere steps from the beach and couldn't drag ourselves away for very long to explore this great island as we wanted to come watch and listen to the waves. Everything is near, and we get around by bus. Tesco, restaurant and local good foods nearby which only five minutes walking distance. We took taxi from hotel to airport and cost us about 12euros. Overall surprisingly good, the only set back is no breakfast. I am just hoping that they will add a breakfast option, for somebody like me who thinks holidays starts from having the breakfast ready.

The room is dirty. Used my finger to wipe the cabinet next to the bed and my finger was stuck with a few mm of dirt and cobweb!! No tv in room. Bed sheet, pillows and eveyuthing in the room look old. The worst is location. You need a car to go there. It is off the main road and you have to walk and walk a long distance to Tesco ( more than 1 km ) or the nearest eateries. Cheap rate however.
