Located at the town entrance. The restaurant is located in first floor offering a good Castle and river view. Tables available both internal and external. We received a good and quick service. The carpaccio and french fries were tasty and fresh.

The best experience I can relate about La Baia is their breakfast which s perfect, because the croissants are wonderful. Go there for breakfast in the restaurant if you can, and stay elsewhere. Parking is definitely not ideal as they give you a permit to park several blocks away in a secure lot. The bathroom and shower is quite nice. However, since there is no AC, you need to leave the windows open at night. The next morning after sleeping on a very hard bed, you are greeted with the chatter of the school kids getting off the buses--first the high school, then the next group is middle school, finished with the most talkative elementary children. I would say if you are wanting the night life, and you travel before school begins, La Baia is a very convenient location given the proximity to the bus stop, popular bridge, restaurants and shops. We absolutely loved Cochem, but will stay on the quiet east side if we return there.

My husband and I chose this restaurant in Cochem based on the mainly good reviews on Tripadvisor. It is in a central location and we got a table on the terrace with lovely views of the river and the castle. However that's the best I can say about the place. Drinks were overpriced, the food was average and the service poor. The waiter appeared to sneer at our attempts to speak basic German, which we feel is only polite when travelling in the country. No one checked on us during the meal and at the end we had to wait ages, having asked for our bill. All in all, not a great dining experience. There are better restaurants in Cochem with much more attentive service.

Booked a 2 night stay for our exploration of small towns and their castles. We picked Cochem since it had plenty to look at and wasn't as sleepy as some of the other towns in the area. And La Baia Hotel for it's location at the edge of the city center and walking distance to the train station. Booking was easy through their website but they never seem to reply to email. The hotel front desk is inside the restaurant itself on the 3rd floor. The gentleman spoke minimal english but we were able to communicate ok. We had a change request for an extra room which he was able to accommodate for. 4 flights of stairs can be a work out with luggage. But if the restaurant is open, you can take their elevator to the 3rd and climb the rest. Our rooms were assigned on the 4th floor and were spacious enough. Wifi codes are free from the front desk. Stays include a decent basic breakfast which includes eggs, bacon, various cold cuts, yogurt, bread, orange juice, coffee.

Stayed here throughout the Cochem Wine Festival. It is in a perfect location right on the edge of the bridge at the end of the Mosel promenade, where the festival takes place. There is no parking at the hotel but plenty of public parking and the hotel offers a reduced rate parking pass. There is a lift to the restaurant which is also the entrance to the hotel. When the lift is closed you can enter via the street. There are lots of steps but the staff helped carry our luggage up to our rooms. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean and have a small balcony. There is a fridge with limited minibar and a fan, but no tea/coffee making facilities which is our only grumble. The breakfast was basic but had most things you could want however only in small amounts and didn't appear to get replenished. Otherwise we were very happy with the hotel and would definitely visit again. The restaurant was efficient and fairly priced with plenty of choice. We had to leave before breakfast which the staff were aware of, so it would've been nice to have been offered a prepared croissant as our friends were in a hotel down the road. However we really enjoyed our stay & would return.

Staff are very friendly. Food is great and the room we stayed is is of a very good standard. Great shower too. If you are thinking of stopping in Cochem, I would highly recommend stopping here. The hotel is ideally situated for the town sites, bars and cable car

We had two rooms next to each other, each with a balcony but separated by a glass barrier. The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. Breakfast was good with bread selection, jams and butters, cold meats and veggies, cereal, yogurt, eggs and bacon, coffee and juice. One of the showers was that half glass which is annoying because water gets all over the floor but they are very modern with good pressure and temperature control. The highest shelf in the bathroom needed dusting and the toilet paper is not soft and the hair dryer is the small attached to the wall kind so it's power is weak. There are no lights on the balconies so playing games or reading after the sun goes down isn't possible. The website said there is free wifi in common areas but we never learned where the common areas were. Maybe the hallways or restaurant. The staff was friendly and the location in town is excellent. The elevator does not go all the way to the rooms and it is not operable when the restaurant is closed so know you must use stairs at some point. However, the stairs are wide and easy.
