To do describe this place as a back street boozer with rooms would be a disservice! I recieved a warm welcome in the very stylish bar which is clearly loved by locals. To be fair, my room could have benefitted from a little TLC - the easy chair had seen better days and the toilet roll holder was missing. The full English breakfast was very nice and I loved the evening meal of burger with blue cheese and mushrooms. The hotel is a short walk from Richmond station and provides better value than the local Travelodge. Stay there!!

Just stayed for one night. Very welcoming staff. Traditional pub downstairs and clean basic rooms upstairs. Good pub food, reasonably priced. Cooked breakfast available, including vegetarian, cooked to order. Room was clean and comfortable, but could do with updating and a new shower head. Very small car park, but car parking available on the street (free from 6.30pm - 8.30am), quite expensive otherwise, and an NCP is close by. Lots of shops nearby and a lovely walk by the Thames. Highly recommend staying here.

Fantastic location in Richmond only a short walk from the town centre and shops but hidden away in the Vinyard. Rooms above a traditional style welcoming pub in a residential area. Very quiet, apart from the early morning rubbish collection if your stay happens to coincide with bin day! Yes there is some aircraft noise but there always is in Richmond and it is often noisier in Twickenham. While the decor is on the vintage or retro side, our room was clean with a comfortable bed and a working shower with hot water. While some aspects of breakfast are great like the coffee and the freshly cooked breakfast it could be improved by offering some real fruit for those who don't eat cereal or like fruit juice. Prices compare favourably with a well known chain hotel in the vicinity

Nice little place 3 minutes walk from Richmond Centre (7 minutes walk from the station). I visited for a sporting event and just as a place to sleep with breakfast. The venue is a pub, traditional style with entrance off the side street. It’s in a quiet area and noise was minimal during the night. Rooms comfy, with a good firm double bed, en-suite shower/WC and TV with Freeview. 5G was available (O2 but suspect all will be OK) and there is The Cloud Wi-Fi but that kept dropping out. Rooms clean, if a little dated. Shower was good, powerful and hot, although in my room the height adjuster was broken. Breakfast superb, good selection including fruit juices, tea/coffee, cereal, toast, full English (including vegetarian option), eggs on toast etc. Nicely cooked and served. All in all a very pleasant stay, and would happily come again.

Wanted to experience the inn of a pub and this was perfect. The proprietor, Pat, couldn’t have been more accommodating and friendly, even helping us to get to the train station. Breakfast was included, typical English breakfast. The location was an easy walk from many pubs, restaurants and the river. Would recommend!

Nice little old pub/hotel just a shame it wasn’t a little cleaner 🥴 a pub for locals… room was nice but such a shame as a simple wipe over with a damp cloth to take away months worth or built up dirt could be wiped away .. 🥴 And the cleaner had just been in the room 😕

We were looking for accommodation with easy access to Kew Gardens. The Dukes Head Inn is about a 10-minute walk from the District Line so we were able to drop off our bags and then pick up the tube to Kew Gardens. The hotel has a nice little pub with good food and friendly service. It was nice to have dinner right there after a long day of travel and sightseeing. We had the salmon and the Steak pie. We got to know the owner who made us feel at home. The room was a good size with the usual kettle, tea and biscuits. The owner also booked a car service for us to Heathrow for the next morning which is about 35-40 minutes away.
