Just been to the Albert. Stunned by bar prices in a Robinson's pub. £6.70 for a pint of morreti and £8.50 for a 124ml glass of Prosecco despite the fact that their website says it's £6.00. More expensive than London. Complete rip off. Definitely one to avoid

We have visited the Albert for years and it’s tip top for food and accommodation, I’d also like to give a special BIG SHOUT OUT, for the person who would normally go without a mention, the morning cleaner was more than helpful and went out of her way to help us, thank you for your time and patience

We have eaten in the Albert a number of times in the past but this time was not as good as previous. The lamb Sunday roast was just a lump of meat not carved and looked very un appetising and lacked flavour, service by the two young ladies was excellent. The gent who appeared behind the bar part way through, Manager? looked scruffy and with stained and dirty shirt did little to impress the guests.

The food here is always good, we always visit when in the lake district. Can be quite busy but the staff do their best. just check the new opening times as kitchen not always open and menu limited to sandwiches.

Ordered a chicken and beef Sunday roast. The chicken appeared as a sparrows leg, tiny, the stuffing was nearly as big as the chicken and hard on the outside. The veg was hard, undercooked, the mash was reconstituted like powdered mash. We were recommended to come but were very disappointed. The best bit was the large Yorkshire pudding. Won't be returning

You carnt get anymore central that the Albert it’s right smack in the middle of a buzzing Bowness… the rooms are small functional & the breakfast is delicious with lots of choice, they have a great outdoor area to the side & the place is dog friendly… they do a yummy Sunday dinner to .. only negative was a member of staff (woman with dark hair) think she was foreign had a very odd bedside manner, abrupt & down right rude..tried to take plates away whilst other were still eating !!

Visited this evening with my wife and dog. Decided to sit outside. Firstly the tables were extremely sticky, not been cleaned and had hair on it. The food arrived, haddock, chips and mushy peas for me, well cooked but the fish was tasteless. My wife had ‘home made’ lasagne which she could not finish it was so poor. The garlic bread was rock hard to eat so she left it. Drinks okay but would not really recommend.

Visited while on holiday in Bowness, cannot fault the food or service at all, lovely big portions and fantastic quality food. I had haddock with chunky chips and mushy peas and it was cooked to perfection, my family were equally impressed. It has a very welcoming atmosphere and I cannot recommend enough.
