We did not like there were ants in the floor if the room n.5. They got into our food and baggage. We liked the place's location and the fact we were the only guest - private house for 30euro in the heart of the town.

We have stayed in Evora Terrace Hostel in the middle of March. It still was 'low season' and I assume we were there single residents only. Susanna was very helpful and nice to us. And for the whole stay I had the feeling staying like at home. It was so warm and friendly. Also there is a great terrace at the top and few rooms have view at the main square. Rooms are clean and tidy. Equipped kitchen with whole utensils in use. Will come back definitely and stay here again if I have chance to visit Evora again!

Evora Terrace hostel is one of the best hostels I've stayed at. It recently changed ownership, so it is more of a guest house than a hostel now - there are no dorm rooms. The hostel looks really cool - nice atmosphere and chill. What made our stay even more chill, was that we were the only couple in the whole hostel. So the house was all for us. It is very clean, stylish and well decorated. Rooms are big enough and there are two shared bathrooms. The hostel is located in the heart of Evora - in the central plaza. So, you can just sit in your terrace and watch people passing by. It also has a nice sun terrace, where to relax and watch sunset. Everything was just perfect! Highly recommended!

The best stay in all of Portugal so far, and that's saying a lot. Superb in all aspects! The hostel is situated in the central plaza of Evora, with all the sights within a few minutes' walk. Also about 10 minutes away from the bus station. The staff are amazingly friendly and passionate and always there to help with anything you need. To them this isn't a business transaction, it is an experience, I felt right at home. There is the option to eat at the restaurant (which is superb) and breakfast is included. The breakfast is self-service (perfect if you're catching an early bus). The hostel has many areas for relaxing and of course a terrace (best view in all of Evora, especially sunset). Everything was very clean and neat and with special attention to detail to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Great facilities include air-conditioning, a hairdryer, lights and plugs by each bed and lockers. This would be my one insider's tip to all coming to Evóra: stay here!

We had a great stay at Evora Terrace Hostel. Since there were 2 of us, we got a private room because it was the same price for both of us to stay in a dorm. The kitchen is spotless - which is a nice change of pace from other hotels in the country - and there is a rooftop with a beautiful view. We were there in an off-season, so there weren't other people around, but it was quiet and comfortable.

I've been travelling for 12 months now and this would have to be the best hostel I have stayed in. Location is superb. Literally in the heart of the old town right on the main square. The 2 guys who own the place are great. Fluent in English and they even help carry your bags up the stairs. There is a bar onsite too. The decor is gorgeous. You feel like you are staying in someone's home. It is set up like a real terrace house with homey and comfortable decor and furniture. A lovely common lounge room which overlooks the square and a rooftop terrace with stunning views. There is a beautiful kitchen with views to die for. Strong wifi throughout including in the dorms. Note the 4 bed female dorm has no aircon and can get a bit stuffy in summer but just open the window and it's fine. The only minor suggestion I have is for some comfy chairs or seating area on the rooftop at the moment there are only metal stools. With some sun lounges on the terrace I would never leave.

The hostel is located on the main square so location-wise, it's a winner ! Climb up 2 flights of stairs & the friendly owners greet you happily. Hostel is very nicely decorated & has an extremely cozy feeling. The dorm was clean & faces the main square. You get a good view of the square but if some moron/s decides to talk loudly or play musical instruments in the middle of the night, say bye bye to good sleep ! The included breakfast was so so. Only toasts (which I detest), corn flakes, myriad of jams, fruit, coffee & tea. Whatever happened to the freshly baked cake that the other guests wrote about ?

I visited Evora a few weeks ago and stayed at this hostel only for one night, in their 6-person dorm. I'll keep it brief: the owners were friendly and helpful, the facilities were clean and adequate, the location couldn't have been any better and the lovely terrace adds so much to it. A great little hostel

This hostel is well placed in the center of Evora. We arrived a bit late (around 21:45) and the tenant waited for us, it was kind. He also advised us a restaurant in some nearby street, it was really good. Our room was clean and well decorated near the kitchen. Kitchen is well equipped and you can cook your own food there. The living room was a warm place to stay and meet travelers. But you can also use the terrace of the hostel to have a view of Evora. I recommand! NB.: if you want to park your car, it will be outside Evora's walls, it's free and not so far (7min by foot).
