There are few options in Beja for business orientated hotels, and although the Melius is a simple option, it is clean, comfortable and offered me a good night's sleep. Parking is available right outside, if those are taken, there are plenty of other parking places directly across the road or the other side of the adjacent crossroads within the commercial areas. Once inside, check in was straightforward and I was soon to my room via one of the two lifts. Unfortunately, opening the door, I was hit with the heavy smell of cigarette smoke (the hotel is non-smoking), so back down to reception to ask for another room which wasn't a problem. The room was pretty basic, but comfortable. Mine was a twin, comfortable and no problems sleeping. Furniture was no-nonsense: a single chair; fixed desk and a sitting stool. Bit lots of wardrobe space. The bathroom was fine, appointed with a bath with shower fitted above the bath, lots of hot water and pressure. Both the bedroom and bathroom were immaculate. Breakfast is from 06:30 in the separate dining room. Again it is straightforward but easily sufficient: three types of cereals to choose from, a couple of hot options, bread, croissants, some yoghurts a few types of both fresh and tinned fruit, coffee from a machine. So not a grand spread, but perfectly fine for the day. The hotel doesn't really have a lounge or sitting areas, though there is a large bar which opens at 14:00. I was there during the World Cup, so it was relatively busy. They serve evening snacks, not really full-up meals, but I really enjoyed the local tapas for Euro 10.50. No gym, but virtually next door, a gym which offers guests patronage. There are a couple of paddle (tennis) courts out the back of the hotel, with equipment held by reception. In sum, I enjoyed my three night stay here. It offered what I needed; nothing more, nothing less, but in what it did offer it was very good.

A fairly standard commercial hotel. Nothing to write home about. But good reception service. Clean tidy. Bit out of town but a walk always does you good. I would stay here again. But hey I have to write some more. Why do i have to write more than i feel is necessary?

Liked · Super friendly receptionist at checkin. Indicated a restaurant and even tried to book it for us right on the checkin and upgraded to a double bed room. Big room with balcony (good view). Free parking spaces outside. Disliked · A bit dated, needs improvment, although there's a new area with padel courts. The breakfast products looked like from packaging (excepting croissants and bread)

Good sized room, balcony not child friendly and asked for chairs, breakfast was good and fresh, was busy on Sunday morning but staff that were overrun were great, management need to assist them here! A 10/15min wall to several good restaurants and main town area. Free parking g in hotel and surrounding area. Recommend on value for money

Very good location! Hotel was great, nice staff very friendly and also a nice bar. We stayed only 2 nights for a wedding but would recommend it if you're staying in Beja. Enough parking spaces also behind the Hotel.

Staff were friendly, the room was clean and comfortable with a lovely décor and looks liked it has just been updated. The breakfast although continental offered a good choice of cereal, fruit, bread, cold meats, cheese and scrambled eggs. The bar was ok but lacked atmosphere, could have done with a swimming pool as it was extremely hot. They offered secure parking and the location was good not far from main town and next to a commercial centre which was handy. I have stayed in many three star hotels and apart from some amenities this hotel definitely deserves it three stars.

We stayed for two nights in December, 2017. The hotel was adequate for our needs. Secure parking and east room assess without dealing with stairs, which are both important to us. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfasts were minimal and the hotel does not offer a restaurant! Places to eat were right at hand though and we ate at a Chinese buffet next door which was very nice! Close drive to the heart of the city's historical attractions and a friendly staff made our stay quite nice.

Room was good. Hotel was clean with good parking right outside & about 10 min walk from centre of town. Good breakfast the next day although sadly no delicious natas. Bar was a bit soul-les & there was no food or bites bits on offer otherwise we would have stayed for another drink (or two).

Not the worst hotel, but seriously in need of an update. Very noisy airconditioners. Very hard beds. Breakfast not bad; fresh fruit, cereals, bread and stuff... Location is ideal at the edge of town, across the street from a small shopping area. Excellent bartender, very good with cocktails...

We had to visit this hotel in business on the past weekend and had a really nice surprise when we have been upgraded to a Junior Suite by the gentelman at the front desk. Unfortunately I forgot his name, but he was really nice and gave us a warm welcome. The breakfast however is simple when comparing to other hotels.
