Nestled in the heart of Brussels, the Bedford Hotel & Congress Centre is lauded for its superb location, putting guests within easy reach of the city's prominent attractions. While the hotel shines with cleanliness and a staff that many guests find affable, it faces criticism for its somewhat antiquated ambiance and amenities. Travelers have mixed views on the rooms, which are often described as needing updates and more in-room comforts. Opinions on value are divided; some appreciate the competitive pricing, whereas others are let down by extra fees and the sporadic Wi-Fi.

Great room for 3 adults. Very comfy beds and duvets. Rooms cleaned every day and new towels put out for us. Very clean. We had breakfast included which was very good (toast, cereals, croissants, scrambled eggs, crepes etc). The hotel is in a perfect place and only a 10 minute walk to the Grand Place. I would have given 5* but we did like other guests find it noisy but I suppose you do expect this when guests are checking in and out 24/7. It would not stop us from going back. Great views across Brussels from The Eight rooftop bar. Lovely cocktails and food too.

Hotel's Favorite
Booked this hotel along with the Eurostar. Very clean and spacious hotel. Staff were friendly and welcoming at all times. Breakfast had a wide range of selection, suitable for all taste buds. Hotel was very central and short walk to Grand Place. Will be 100% recommending this hotel to friends and family. Definitely won't be considering any other hotel in the future. Well worth a stay!

It was the first time of my life when being into a Hotel I had cold! The heat pump wasn’t working properly and it was fre*** cold, wind & rain outside plus frea*** cold into the room too. The heat pump is controled so won’t reach certain temperature so it switch off every now and then sobyou never get warm enough especially if it’s bad weather outside. If you call the reception -I did because I wanted to complain about the room temperature- noone picked up the phone. In therms of general so bad experience besides is very old Hotel with very old rooms, old equipment, poorly about prsonal care like shampoo. I woudn’t recomend it.

It was a great stay, with clean rooms, hot water at all times, and a luxurious breakfast as well.Great service at all times, from check-in to check-out.The staff of the hotel receptionists and room cleaners were very polite and always smiled. It was a business trip for me, and I will make sure to come again because it really helps my photography since it is really close to many touristic locations here.

SPANISH TOUR GROUPS WHO KEEP EVERYONE AWAKE TIL AFTER MIDNIGHT - AVOID!!!! Spanish tourists running and laughing in the corridors. Going to see their friends in neighbouring rooms and slamming doors . Having loud chats in the corridor with their mates . Hotel claims it is fully booked so can’t swap rooms. Sends staff instead to temporarily monitor the corridor , which inevitably does not solve the problem since as soon as they leave more noise occurs . A guest from level 5 down at reception complaining that the people below her on level 4 are shifting their furniture all night and she can’t sleep . Wish I had believed the reviews about noise levels

Excellently located within a 5-7 mins walk from the Grand Platz, and literally 3-4 mins walk away from the touristy Manneken Pis statue, and approx. 20-25 mins walk from the Bruxelles-Midi / Zuid train station. Good transport connections, with buses & metro stops nearby as well. As I travelled with 2 other friends, we ended up booking a triple room, which was clean, comfortable, spacious, and tastefully decorated. I did notice, however, that the room lacked tea/coffee making facilities, and nor were drawers provided. The buffet-style breakfast was more than ample - lots of fare to choose, from a selection of cold cuts, hot foods, cereals, lovely continental breads and pastries, tea/coffee/hot chocolate and fruit juices, and fresh fruit/fruit salad & yoghurt. You definitely wouldn't go hungry, that's for sure! Staff were very welcoming, friendly, and more than happy to help in every/any way. Although not tried during this trip, there is a bar on offer on the top (9th) level. Luggage storage facilities are also on offer. Quite reasonably priced as well, given the proximity to many of the nearby tourist spots.

Would I stay again? no. was it really bad? no just one of those hotels that gives you an unwanted and don't care vibe. on arrival there was a long queue to check in and the staff were borderline rude and did'nt really care. The room was passable in terms on being clean. The location is good but personally I would stay elsewhere next time I'm in Brussels

We booked this hotel with the Eurostar and it was very good value. Yes the rooms need a little updating but they are fine. The best thing about this hotel is the location being great for the main attractions. Staff spoke great English. We would stay again.

We stayed here for 3 nights over New Year. Great staff, very clean hotel with good facilities. Our room was dated, it could have been improved with better lighting and it was cold at times. However the bed was comfortable and it was spotless clean. No fridge even though it states on the hotel website that the standard rooms have fridges. No team and coffee making facilities either so bring your own travel kettle if you like a cup of tea in your room. The reception staff were great. There is a large comfortable lounge area where you can take your own drinks even alcohol or your own food/takeaway. The staff will even open bottles for you! There are vending machines in the lobby with snacks and drinks in and there is a small fridge behind reception where you can purchase tins of Jupiler beer for €2.50 each. This hotel is in a great location and within close walking distance to the centre. We will be back again.

A very grand entrance to main reception, we arrived very early but I checked when booking to make sure it was ok to leave baggage before check-in and it was ok. Staff and security were very courteous We were on the 4th floor (Room 474) and it was just about adequate. No tea or coffee making facilities were the major downside although it was not advertised when booking, I think I was just expecting it. There was a telephone but no sheet to say what numbers to call, and there was no folder with hotel information in the room as you would normally expect. Not even a "Do Not Disturb" sign. The TV was a stand alone unit on top of a tall cupboard which made it uncomfortable to watch from the bed. It was smaller than my pc monitor at home and it was not a plasma with satellite channels as advertised on Booking.com, just what I assume to be local channels. On the basis of our room, if the other rooms are the same, then they are in need of a refurbishment, but were kept clean by enthusiastice and happy cleaners It's location was very good, close to Grand Place, bars, restaurants and transport. On check-out we were allowed to leave baggage secure until it was time to leave Brussels. All in all, a clean but sparse room at a reasonable price for a hotel close to the center of Brussels. I wish I had taken some photo's.
