The location of this hotel could not have been better, as it sits only a stone's throw away from the main train station and the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. We had some issues working the air conditioning, but the staff were more than happy to help. They even helped us plan our various outings in and around Florence. The continental breakfast had a range of options, offering more cold options than I was expecting from a hotel of this size. Overall, my experience of Hotel Perseo was very good, with the help from staff being exceptional.

Decent hotel in a great location. It is time for an update and a good scrubbing. The linens and pillows should be updated too. It's not as upscale as the photos suggest, but the proprietress is super friendly and helpful. The entrance to the hotel is through a dingy dusty building lobby, which is not Hotel Perseo's fault but still something travelers should know. Florence is way overcrowded. The city should actually restrict VRBO's to reduce the number of people in the city. Good for tax revenue but a nightmare.

We simply loved our stay. The staff were lovely - so welcoming, helpful, generous, and efficient. They went the extra mile to make our family comfortable, and their recommendations were excellent. The rooms were comfortable and quiet, and the location can't be beat. Everything was within easy walking distance - close to the action, but, once inside, it was nice, calm and friendly. The elevator was a bonus for my husband, who was injured before our trip. The rest of us found the stairs an easy few flights. We definitely hope to stay here again next time we're in Florence.

This was the perfect hotel for an elderly couple: Walking distance to all the sites we had come to see, a very comfortable room and a lovely breakfast with real coffee served by a real person, not just a machine. Very helpful and friendly staff who made us feel at home. Highly recommended.

My only real con for the hotel was the size of the shower. It is the smallest shower I have ever used. I am not that large and I had issues with the shower. There may be other rooms with larger shower stalls. I would stay here again even with the small shower however if you are large you might want to contact the hotel to see if some rooms have larger showers. Other than that we were very happy with the hotel. The room was nice and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was good. The hotel is centrally located and easy walking distance to most places. FYI, my room didn’t have a great view but I wasn’t expecting one. Not sure if some have better views.

Hotel Perseo is in an awesome location super close to the centre of Florence and the Cathedral. It is very clean, staff are friendly and the rooms are comfortable. The air conditioning is modern and keeps the room cool in the summer which is a must. The breakfast is a good offering of pastries, cereal, meats and fruit. Definitely would recommend.

The customer service was great. Laura was super diligent when we have a little situation the first day with the a/c int and she changed us for another great room super quick. The privileged location of the hotel is the best in all Firenze, steps to the Duomo, pharmacies, supermarket, restaurants, boutiques and 5 minutes to Ponte Vechio. The buffet that they offer have everything; breads, cheeses and hams, pastries, eggs, yogurts, chocolate, coffee and others. My husband and I will return next year and hope to stay in this lovely hotel again!!!!

I stayed in this hotel for three nights with my mom. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this hotel - I would 100% stay there again in a heartbeat. The Room: The room was clean and good sized. Bed was comfortable and there were extra blankets in the wardrobe which was nice. The room had Netflix so you could access your own account and it automatically logged you out when the tv was turned off which despite being annoying having to sign in every time it was great not to have to worry I would forget to log out and someone else would have access to my account. The room had a safe and a refrigerator (but the fridge did not work great - it barely got cold no matter what setting it was on). Air conditioner worked great. Room was quiet - no outside noise and no noise from neighbors. Bathroom was small but the shower had good water pressure. I was very comfortable in that room. The Staff: Everyone there was amazing! First, the lady that works the breakfast was wonderful - she was friendly, she was constantly running around restocking the food, making lattes and cappuccinos for everyone, super friendly and helpful. She is a gem! Also, the Australian lady (I think she is the manager) was so nice and friendly! Upon checking in she gave us a map and circled all the touristy stuff and gave us some restaurant recommendations (we asked) and marked them on the map which was super helpful. The Building: Right in the center of everything - lots of restaurants and stores, walking distance from the train station and just steps to the Duomo. I couldn't ask for a better location. And there is an elevator so you don't have to lug suitcases up and down stairs! The Breakfast: Our reservation included breakfast - not sure if they all do, but what a great spread! Pastries, breads for toast, cereals, yogurt, juices and coffee, plus fresh lattes and cappuccinos (as previously mentioned), fresh fruit, plus the European breakfast meats, etc. Delicious and saved us the money of having to eat out every morning! The only thing that could be considered negative - you do have to give them your room key whenever you leave the hotel because they use real keys, not key cards, but this didn't bother me at all - there was always someone at the desk to give you your key and most of the staff remembered who was staying in what room so you didn't even need to tell them your room number. And being someone that has lost room keys in the past this was great as it kept me from having to worry about it. When we checked out they stored our bags for us until later in the day when we were ready to leave. This place was awesome and I would highly recommend it to anyone coming to Florence!
