the only plus of this accomodation is the location. All the rest is negative: the organisation: the address given on the site is not where you will sleep/, you are taken to another building. You need to advise the time of arrival or you will be left waiting outsie like i did. The apartment: not the one i booked. i booked with a private bathroom and got a shared bathroom. the room itslef was ok, but the floor was dirty. The bed was confortable though. The street was very noisy at night and in the morning (a parrott lives in front.. and its very noisy) the building itself also was noisy. You can hear all neighbours, the door was banging everytime someone was moving., very very annoying. The shower had no curtain, so the bathroom was left flooded after each shower. On top of that, some evacutation tubes from the bathroom ended up in my bedroom, and was making a huge noise after each shower and wc round. The general communication with the landlord was really bad, due to the bad english Sorry, but even for the price i do not recommend that place. Oh and no Wifi and pay by cash better.. i paid by card and it was a mess. And now i cant leave a review in Booking, as they are clever and decided to put my booking as a no show.....

The location was incredible, everything within few minutes walk. The room was small, but everything you need was there. It was clean and the staff is really nice and friendly. The stairs to the upper floors are really small and kind of hard to climb. So if you have movement problems you may have hard time climbing them. We got the cheapest room (first floor) the one right after you open the "hotel" door, 160€ for 4 nights during the day staff was behind the wall, but during The night staff leaves. and water pump makes funny noises time after time. Room got cleaned in the middle of our stay, that was pleasant. Overall for the money we paid where we can have room only for ourselves and do whatever we want and live in the old town of Bàri, we were really satisfied! (We are a couple in our 20'ties)

Horrible. Don not even consider this place in the winter. The heating doesn't work. I complained twice and nobody did anything about it. It was impossible to sleep there. There is no reception. Nobody answered the phone so I had to find alternative accommodation really late in the evening. I have claimed my money back and they have just ignored me. They do not accept credit cards, only cash so you cannot get it back when you see what kind of place it is. Worst hotel ever! Shameless scam.

Paid for room with balcony, view of church & roof terrace- GOT NONE. Business now has multiple properties on old Bari but only shows pictures of property on Plaza. BEWARE it is likely your room will not have facilities advertised & expected. RIP OFF

For this kind of money it's very good! Perfect location , everything is near you - the city centre , the old city, a lot of restaurants and cafes. Small but clean room. We had a balcony. The AC wasn't working. Wi-fi connection was fast. A great, romantic place for couples ! The best thing about this hotel is its location. :)

I was a little bit worried before arriving because of the bad ratings, however I was completely satisfied with the room. Very good location, Hassan who guided us was very nice and helpful. The room itself is not big, the double bed was comfy, everything was clean, there was a bathroom inside the room, we could have coffee or tea and the TV worked well. We paid 189 euros for 3 nights and we got what we expected for this price. I'd recommend it for young couples who would like to spend a chill-romantic weekend in Italy.

Location: 20 minutes walking from the Bari Centrale station. 5 minutes from bus stop. At the entry of Vecchia or Old bari. Beautiful location which will transport you to an Old Bari era. Property: Its a house in Old Bari. hence there is no elevator and the staircase is narrow, winding, typically like that in an old house. The house itself is beautiful. Exposed brick walls and arched ceilings. There is a terrace too which has an oven and a refrigarator. You can have your breakfast there. the ambiance is beautiful. Room: Not very big but fully functional. Clean. Iron bed. Air conditioning. There is a sink and a tiny kichenette too where you can make coffee. Electric kettle and coffee supplies provided. Bathroom: Tiny. Toiletries provided. Breakfast: Croissants and coffee Staff: Very sweet. However they are not present all the time there so be prepared to call them. Wifi: Free but slow. We stayed for a single night and it was nice. However not suitable for long stays as our room did not have any window! The ambiance as soon as you open the main gate of the hotel is awesome! The stone culture of Old Bari is something worth experiencing!

My boyfriend and I booked a very nice room (or so we thought) here, on the 1st of may 2015. The morning before we left for Bari, someone called me to inform the bathroom in our room is broken and might not get fixed in time, and they don't have any other free rooms, but no worries they managed to find a room just next door. We got there, this guy opened the door and didn't even let us into the lobby. He began walking to "just next door" which was more than 3 blocks away from the the perfect location which we chose in the first place. We arrived at the City Hotel, he left us there and the receptionist asked for us to pay. When we demanded to view the room first ...the unexpected happened again! He asked us to follow him and got OUTSIDE again. He then showed us a room which was actually part of an apartment in an old appartment block with no towells, no toilett paper, smelling like old wood, horrible looking and left us there. We were just staying for 2 nights and had no time to look for another place and the guy was "so kind" to offer at our demand a very small discount. We both thought this was not a mistake by the way they miss leaded us and treated us and we advice you not to be also fooled by the nice location and pictures of a terrace you might never see.
