"La Chicca" is a traditional Venetian household very close to the main monuments and museums, such as Piazza S. Marco (S. Marco Square), Punta della Dogana (Venice Customs- currently hosting Pinault Fondation), Chiesa della Salute ("Health" Church), Gallerie dell'Accademia (Academy Galleries), Peggy Guggenheim Collection, just to mention few, and they are all easily reachable by walking. "La Chicca" is completely and carefully restored following ancient Venetian building techniques. Our rooms are all well equipped with every comfort: independent bathroom, independent air conditioning and heating, fridge , LCD-TV, Wi-Fi, kettle with tea and Nescafe’, biscuits. There’s no breakfast .
a short walk from the vaporetto stop. lovely big room with comfy bed and glossy typical venice decor. Quiet area but a restaurant and cafe just round the corner and one of the prettiest canals in town. There was a kettle in the room but no milk/creamers/coffee mate which would have been nice but there is a shop round the corner and a small fridge if you are more organised than we are. No noise at night. Even the air con was quiet. Handy map and restaurant recommendation in the room. Super friendly and helpful lady came by each morning to clean the room and answer in perfect English our questions.

We've stayed twice in La Chicca B&B but both rooms were taken when we tried to book again this year and we were offered Le Lanterne, their flat just off the Campo San Stefano. This turned out to be ideal. The location is excellent. The one-bedroom flat has a separate kitchen/living room and bathroom with tub and washing machine. Bed was very comfortable, wifi worked well, everything was very clean, and the kitchen is fairly well equipped, with a big fridge, oven, hob and microwave. We went out for meals but there's a mini-market two doors away that has all the essentials. Our only niggle was the tiny Moka for making coffee - a larger Moka or a French press/plunger would have been welcome.

We stayed here a third time and would be woefully disappointed to have to go elsewhere. Sabrina and Massimo are the most wonderful hosts, kind, friendly, very helpful. The place is on a narrow calle on the Dorsoduro between Accademia and Zatterere. It is completely removed from the madness that can sometimes be Venice and the room we have always stayed in is beautifully decorated, very large, including a king bed, a large sofa (bed), coffee table, table and chairs, and large cupboard with coffee/tea service and safe. Bathroom is large, including tub/European shower. Continental breakfast is fresh, delicious and plentiful. Sabrina and Massimo have thought of everything; the place is immaculate, a peaceful refuge.

We really enjoyed our stay! A perfect location allowing us to walk everywhere in Venice. Each night was completely silent with a very comfortable bed. Massimo and Sabrina were a pleasure, offering yummy croissants, espresso, and other morning treats. Couldn't have met our needs any better. Thanks so much!!

This is a lovely B&B with nice owners - it’s slightly dated in decor but is clean and comfortable. The bath is small and shower area within it very small but it all worked fine. It’s quiet but our room (think there are two rooms in total but not fully sure) opened to the breakfast area so noise in the morning, when another couple gets up earlier to have breakfast, is not ideal but to be fair breakfast is 08:00-10:00 so we should really have been up anyway! Breakfast is simple - croissants (lovely!), cereal and toast with Massimo’s incredible coffee! We paid €180 a night so not that cheap but a lot better than many hotels for the same price in Venice peak season...

We stayed here for a second time recently, because our first visit was so nice. The second time around was even better, owing to the kindness and attentiveness of innkeepers Massimo and Sabrina. The rooms are large and lovely, well equipped, comfortable in every way imaginable. The location, between Accademia and Zattere cannot be improved. The calle is very quiet. La chiccha is certainly one of the nicest, most welcoming places we have stayed in over many years of travel and we look forward to the next visit.

With few minutes from the Accademia water bus stop, it's easy to find the B&B only need to cross one small bridge. The room is clean and well equipped, breakfast is tasty. The host are friendly to provide you information and suggest places to eat. Once you get used to the streets of Venice, this is indeed one of the ideal base to discover Venice.

Location, excellent. 10 mins walk from St Mark's square. Weather in May was fabulous, sunny hot days. Accommodation was very clean, air con, mosquito free and very lovely. The owners, Sabrina and Massimo were the perfect hosts and produced amazing breakfast every morning. The room was cleaned every day and any issues were sorted quickly and efficiently.I loved this place and the location felt safe.

We stayed here for a week. It's a great location for exploring the city on foot or by vaparetto being close to the Accademia bridge, the gallery and water bus stop. Chatting to the very helpful owners Sabrina and Massimo over a lovely breakfast each day was a joy, their English is good and they gave us many helpful suggestions of places to include in our visit and recommendations on the many local restaurants. Our room, one of only two, was large, really beautifully decorated in palazzio style, the en suite was a good size and well equipped. This was our fourth trip to Venice, we love the Dorsoduro area which is quieter than the other side of the canal. We've always stayed in hotels before and we chose La Chicca based on its location and the pictures. It certainly lived up to all our expectations and we would definitely stay here again.…
