The host was very friendly and informative about the attractions and restaurants in Rome. Air conditioning was brilliant! We were worried we'd be stuck with bad AC but it kept is very comfortable. Cleanliness was fairly good. Tiny issues in the bathroom with water pressure and cleanliness, but that's being picky. Location was great, very close to the train/bus station and close to the Colosseum. The main parts of the town were a little further away and do take a good amount of time to walk to, but with electric scooters everywhere you can get around fairly easily

Where do I begin? We arrived in the taxi to a grubby looking door, and thought ‘what have we booked?’. Got into the lobby and a head popped out the door on the ground floor, “welcome”. And it was like stepping into a different world! Clean, comfortable, cosy, the host showed us to the room and explained the keys, coffee machine etc. A real experience of Italy! There are loads of bars, shops and restaurants in the immediate area, so the actual accommodation not having these things was not an issue. With only three room, I would highly recommend this accommodation for people travelling with children of the age where they can sleep in their own room, giving mum and dad some peace! With a baby monitor/camera you could sit in the restaurant next door (the front door is next to the tables!) and chill! (I wouldn’t leave my kids unless they were 1000% safe). You need three keys to get in and out, so it’s really safe. We charged our phones in the small reception area, happily leaving them overnight. Clean, comfy and extremely well priced, it suited us brilliantly!

We arrived to a door in a wall, no sign and the lobby was old and dirty looking. When our host arrived it was like stepping into the future. The rooms were lovely and comfortable. Up to date and large enough for 3 Adults. Coffee and tea was available at the front desk all day. This Lodge has only three rooms and for the price it was a very good experience. I would stay again. We stayed one night and then came back for 3 more nights. Stella was very helpful to us when we had a problem with our transportation. The maid comes in each day to freshen up the rooms. The whole experience was a lovely surprise. Don’t judge a book by its cover fits this accommodation perfectly!

Gulliver’s Lodge has the BEST location. It is 5 blocks from the train station, one direction, and, 6 blocks the other direction to the Coliseum and Forum. Many great restaurants right around the place. The rooms are private, air conditioned, and very quaint. These are cute, simple, no frills rooms. But, at a good price, and, in a great location, it would be hard to do better. With that said, there is one thing that makes this place totally AWESOME. And, that’s Maria. She runs the place. This lady bends over backwards to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Speaks very good English, has great recommendations for food, attractions, and, transportation. But, more than that....she is, genuinely, kind and friendly. If you want a posh, modern, fancy hotel that you will hardly stay in, go ahead and spend three times the money. But, if you want a nice, clean, comfortable place, that won’t break the bank, consider Gulliver’s Lodge.

I can't say enough about the excellent location. We could walk to many of the attractions which made visiting them easy. Conveniently there is a restaurant right outside the entrance. This really worked well for us. Maria took the time to give us a quick intro to where we were and what was around to see and do. She also took time to sit for a glass of wine! Very hospitable.

Monica met us when we arrived and showed us our room and answered all of the questions we had about getting around Rome. Fantastic! Easy 10 minute walk to Colosseum, 25 minute walk and Metro to Vatican, and easy walking to the other major sites. Many great places to eat in the area, and only 10 minutes from the Termini Station. Thank You for a great stay!

The location is great. Easy walk to Coliseum. Great price. No breakfast. The bed was not very comfortable and no view. The staff was great and took great care of us. We could feel the building move when the train went underneath.
