The location is great, 2mins down a nice side street full of high end fashion stores and you're at the Spanish Steps. The front of the hotel is most unassuming, just a door and a sign that doesn't inspire much. The reception desk is in a corridor, there is a TINY lift (2 people with rucksacks on and you'll get wedged!) Small hotel, seems like 4 floors of 4 rooms each, floor 5 is a breakfast room, breakfast is limited and basic, 3 choices of cereal, a couple of pastries and some bread. In the room, it's a good size, nice window and electric blind that really helps take the sun's heat out of the room. The streets were thin so no view as such. The beds, are genuinely awful, two singles pushed together but not zipped or attached, spongy mattress, very uncomfortable. Bathroom, would be ok except the shower was broken (see photo) meaning we could have cold, or freezing. The hair dryer, also broken (see photo). We asked for an iron and board to be sent to the room but, despite saying that is possible in the book in the room, we were told that the hotel doesn't keep irons. The TV is small but functional, the remote is missing it's back so taped up, minor quibble but looks bad. The air con though, is great! Very powerful and controllable. The staff are generally good, aside from my first call for the I'll fated iron, which was met with "argh, iron" and then hung up. In summary, if you really want to be close to the Spanish Steps and the hotel isn't important to you.. then it's fair enough, but otherwise... Avoid! (Ps if you look at my review history I'm usually 4*/5* reviews so that tells you I'm not just a negative reviewer)…
