Leave the tourism behind and stay in this beautiful apartment in a residential area of Rome, but within easy reach of the main attractions. Luigi is a perfect host and although he only speaks a little English, google translate fills the gaps. The high ceiling, court yard garden, tradition elevator, huge doors and beautiful artwork make this a must for anyone interested in knowing more about Rome than the tourist trail. Luigi and housemates will also give you fantastic recommendations for the best food and drink. Thanks Luigi, can't wait to return. J&S

Well first and foremost the owner, Lugi, does not speak any english. We were able to get by with gestures, limited spanish, and the housecleaner we saw once who translated for us. This is also not a bed and breakfast in how we thought of one, it is one guys apartment, he lives in one room and rents the other three. Our room was clean and nice, it faced the street, but the window when closed was very soundproof. I looked in the other two rooms, and then seemed nice as well, although none of them looked to sleep more than 2 people each. Breakfast is included in the form of a voucher for a cafe downstairs, which was convent and good, and the voucher was enough for us to each get a coffee/tea and pastry, so that was good. The location was nice, it's about one stop outside the touristy district, so that's nice, and very close to public transit.
