We stayed here for 28 days, half board. We have nothing but praise for the Terralta. ROOMS - comfortable, spacious and clean. The apartment was cleaned 3 times a week and clean towels provided at each cleaning. The (single) beds were comfortable but would have been better with duvets rather than sheets and blankets, which are a bit of a carry on. FOOD - We stayed half board. Breakfast was more or less the same every day. Cereal, muesli, fresh fruit, cold meats, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, croissants, assorted pastries, tea, coffee, fruit juice. Dinner was always nice - plenty of salad stuff, cold meats, soup, and a choice of about 5 main courses (different every night) of which at least 4 were gluten-free (my wife has coeliac). Plenty of desserts, yoghurts, ice cream, fresh fruit, pastries and of course as much wine, beer or soft drinks as you could manage while having yourb dinner. The only downside was that there was no tea or coffee available with dinner. STAFF - very VERY friendly, very helpful, cheerful, polite. FACILITIES – the outdoor pool was not available while we were there but it looks nice!. The indoor pool is open all year and was well used. There are plenty of sunbeds available next to the outdoor pool and there were always some available (in February!) The location is very sheltered which meant that, even when it was windy on the coast, it was calm (and hot) next to the pool. The games room seems to have plenty available but it’s not our thing so I don’t know how good it is. The evening entertainment was probably the only downside. 2 or 3 nights there was no entertainment. The rest of the time it varied (The Flamenco dancers were good and we enjoyed the guy who played Beatles songs). I suspect it will be much better in the summer months. LOCATION - It depends what you want. We were after a quiet relaxing time but with the option to see some of the shows. It was a pleasant 10 minute stroll to the Poniente beach in the morning and a further 10 minutes along the promenade (lots of bars, cafes, restaurants) to the old town, which is well worth taking time to explore. Another 5 minutes and you're on the vibrant Levante beach promenade. We went to 5 or 6 shows while we were there. A No. 2 bus from the Pharmacy (5 minutes walk from the Terralta) takes you through the old town and all the way along Avenida Mediterraneo. From there it's an easy walk to a huge selection of shows. We always got a taxi home (about 9 euros from the far end of Benidorm). It's worth getting a Tarjeta bus card - you give the driver 2 euros for the card then load it with 20 euros. The same card can be used by 2 or more people so don't buy a 2nd card. Bus journeys on the no. 2 were only 0.72 euros, but for some reason which I could never find out, they were 1.44 euros on other buses. Other things to do - visit the markets - there are 2, one on Wednesday another (the larger) on Sunday and Wednesday. A perfect holiday and we have already booked for next year for a longer stay (39 days)…
