Very spacious 29 apartments: It is a recommendation for guests which are looking for comfort and individuality. All apartments (completely refurbished june 2017) face the sunny side with nice views. Close to the Taoro park, in the quiet residential area of the touristic hot spot of Puerto de la Cruz. The old town, city centre and the black sandy beach are just within 15 minutes walking distance.

Last year we stayed at the Tigaiga Hotel, opted for the space of the suites on this visit. Our suite had a large lounge, dining area and terrace with sun loungers for afternoon sun. Good views over hills and coast. Good size swimming (all same depth, no shallow end) pool with sun lounging area. Breakfast is included, good buffet choice and omelette cooked to order. The apartment kitchen area is well equipped (no oven but has a microwave). Apartment is serviced daily except Sundays. The Breakfast room has a lingering smell of fried food, but you can sit outside. Customer service could be improved and be more practive and customer focussed. It took 3 emails to ascertain how and where we had to check in. Further conversations at reception about where to offload luggage and park the car. This could be improved by sending clear map/instructions by email a day in advance. You check in at the hotel but check out at the suites reception (only open briefly in morning). This seems to suit the hotel but not necessarily customers as the buildings are set well apart down a street. On our last day we found the shortest walking route to the hotel (no map/instructions at check in or in room). There isn't a kettle in the suite, these have to be rented (20 euro deposit). We paid the deposit at the hotel but then found that the refund is from the suite reception. Parking is in streets near by, none on site. We tried the set menu main hotel restaurant for dinner. We regretted that decision. Its the "half board/TUI package deal" restaurant and definitely done to a tight budget. Courses (all choices have to be ordered at the start) are served at lightening speed. By 8.30 the restaurant is cleared and laid for breakfast. Not a relaxing experience. The a la carte smaller restaurant and all day food/drinks provider is much better. The food and service here is excellent. Overall not as good an experience as our stay in the hotel last year but still very good.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite with a view of El teide and the lovely gardens. Lovely spacious suite with everything you could need including a well stocked kitchen and a beautiful terrace.Very good breakfast included in the dining room. We were even provided with yoga mats when we asked about them. Very helpful staff although office is open only in the morning but always available by phone or at the hotel nearby. The only downside was a charity event held on the grounds on the Friday night which was loud and went until midnight. I hope that this will not be a common event as it detracted from an otherwise fantastic stay.

We have just returned from a four week stay at the Tigaiga Suites. These suites are exceptional being both modern and well equipped. The main attraction for us was the fact that the rooms were serviced six days a week and that a breakfast was included every day. The breakfasts were very good with a wide selection of both continental and cooked items. But by far and away the best thing about the Suites are the staff!!! Starting at the top - the family that own the Suites and the adjacent Tigaiga Hotel are totally hands on and are visble every day around the facilities. The reception staff are extremely helpful and speak several languages and always go the extra mile - on receiving an email confirming our collection time for our return journey - they offered to open the breakfast room early so that we could eat before departing. The chamber maids were brilliant shout out to Jenny! They have managed to create an oasis of calm on the outskirts of the town - the walk into town was easy (and we're in our 70's) but we always got a taxi back which was only about 5 euros. Everywhere in the complex is spotless and the gardiners are always busy keeping everything pristine!! Lastly the complex is very secure with cctv and your room key allowing you access through the front and rear gates and the outside doors into the lift area. The card also allows you access to the hotel grounds where you can have a drink or eat in the a la carte restaurant. Apologies for the length of this review but there were so many good things that I didn't want to miss anything out - well done to the family - both the Suites and Hotel are a credit to you!!!

We stayed here for 2 week in June with our family staying in another suite. Upon arrival until departure we found everything and everyone there superb. Nothing was to much trouble and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Lovely pool and garden area. Breakfast was more than we expected and was lovely. Credit to the gardener he worked really hard to keep the place tidy. Also the room cleaners worked very hard. Wouldnt hesitate to stay again. The taxi to the suites from town is around €5 which beats walking! Thank you Tigaiga Suites for a fab holiday

We stayed in one of the one bedroom apartments on the 3rd floor, absolutely loved it. Plenty of space, a large balcony, heated pool was great and normally empty, best of all the view from the apartment was amazing, when the cloud cleared you can see Teide opposite and the sea to the right, with palm trees in Tigaiga in the middle.

We were at the Tigaiga Suites for 2 weeks end of february to beginning of march 2020. Arriving when sand storm Calima had showed its windy face we were lucky landing (afterwards airport closed) driving to Puerto (afterwards motorway closed). Our appartement was perfect, tidy, very spacy and in an excellent condition. We had a very warm welcome and everybody was extremely friendly and helpful. Very nice bathroom! And the breakfast was delicious with fresh juices, good varieties and delicious food. We visited the hotel some years ago and the change in ownership was great. Now its a family ownership where people are well educated and know exactly what guests expect and like. The garden is awesome as well as the pool area. Our stay was wonderful - and we luckily were not affected by the pandemy at that moment. We will return in the future for sure and send our best wishes to everyone there, we hope you master the current tough times in good conditions. All the best!

Booked this room for my partners birthday in January this year, overall this hotel has everything, beautiful grounds, great apartments, fantastic local amenities, fantastic views and some great touches of personal service. However, there were some lack of customer service aspects that had a negative impact. On arrival the entry buzzer was broken, but the gate was open. Unbeknown to us we were suppose to walk through the gate and pick up the phone awaiting outside the reception area (reception is only open from 9am-12) As we weren't aware of this we walked up to the hotel (not far but after travelling for 6 hours was quite tiring) to get our key to be told we just had to walk through the gate to pick up the phone. A little frustrating as this could have been coomunicated better prior to arrival via email or message as they had all our details. The following 2 mornings were met by a constant drilling noise for 3+ hours. For some work being done on the floors below to demolish some walls, once again this was not communicated and for some one who had come for a relaxing break, this wasn't the greatest of starts. Other than these 2 negatives everything else was perfect, the location is fantastic, just a short walk from Puerto De La Cruz centre. The grounds are great and well presented. The room itself is spacious, light and airy. Like many other reviews, be aware that the rooms do not have air con, so I am glad that we didn't stay during a hotter climate. The kitchen is well equiped for your basic cooking needs. The staff are very friendly and there were some lovely touches of personal service including a birthday card and photo book of the island for my partner on his birthday. The restraurant in the main hotel also served one of the best meals I had during our stay and was a reasonable price. Overall this was a great place and would recommend anyone looking for a quiet break on the island. Only knocked the star off due to the lack of communication which put a damner on the start of the holiday.

The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, going out of their way to help whenever possible. I requested a fan on my first day there, and even though it's not standard they were able to provide it within a very short time. Also I asked to use the safe, which requires an additional payment, and even though the reception was closed at that time, someone made a special trip over to set it up for me. Breakfast is delicious and fresh. The staff are always around if you need more coffee. The fresh juices & the orange squeezing station was a big hit. The rooms are spacious, modern and very clean. The location is a bit uphill from the main area of Puerto de la cruz however we had no problem walking down and then back up; it's a short but challenging walk. (elderly may have more problems with this) On the downside - the grounds and the rooms are great, but the entrance to the building seems like the one area that hasn't been updated in a while. The elevator is old-fashioned and it's challenging to get large luggage in & out. The hallway near the elevator has a strange musty/ old-cooking smell. Luckily the clean and spacious rooms more than make up for this. Having no parking on site is a slight issue; most days we found parking on the street right outside the the hotel, but twice we had to park a bit further away - luckily it was after we'd been there for a few days so we knew our way around. It's a bit strange to me that the building does not have air conditioning. We opened the sliding doors to air the room, but we can't leave them open when we leave the room, so when we come back, it's quite stuffy. They did provide us with a fan, however, which was really helpful. Bear in mind that reception is only staffed from 9-12, Make sure to get directions from the hotel about how to contact reception & get your key from the lockbox if you are arriving after 12; I did this & it was no problem but I could see it could be confusing. Overall the few disadvantages were far outweighed by the advantages and it was a lovely stay.

We wanted breakfast daily at 7am but breakfast served from 8 to 10 am. We suggested to receptionist taking breakfast in adjacent sister hotel (Tigaiga) which opened at 7am. This was refused. To compromise she agreed to open a bit earlier (7.30am - later improved to 7.15) but given that Hotel Tigaigi was quiet (January) the refusal to let us have breakfast at 7am (next door) was disappointing. We had no other complaints: suite clean and modern. All other facilities well maintained.
