room overlooked an enclosed courtyard. Staff were all very helpful and tried to help answer our questions. We were in an area called El Palo which is very Spanish and not yet spoiled by touristy traps. Plenty of eating options and also reasonably priced. Easy to use buses (regular service and 1.30 euro per trip)to go into Malaga and travel down the coast.
Lovely patio area and small but quaint. Sufficient breakfast area. Good location, shops and pharmacies near buy. Good communication to the big town of Malaga
The room we had was lovely, it had a seating area, en suite bathroom . It was at the front , wasn't overlooked overlooked and filled with sunshine.
We had breakfast on a little terrace garden area at the front.
It was about three euros each. Ive never seen so many types of tea. The coffee was excellent. We had a huge croissant each. It's not often that I can say the breakfast was cheaper at the hotel. There was also a choice of toast and toasties, the ham and cheese type is called Bikini.
The rooms are cleaned every day. The staff are really helpful, there is also a notice board at reception with useful advice posted by other guests.
Walk down to the main road, turn right to Malaga and there's a bike shop. The Irish owner is a serious cyclist. He hires, repairs and sells. He'll make sure you're knitted out, put panniers on and you're off! Go along the coastal promenade in the opposite direction to Malaga and you'll find more beaches and little resorts used by the Spanish . You can bike or bus into Malaga. We did walk but it was a bit far.
Along the beach are little tavernas with charcoal bbq's, little fresh fish, crusty bread and a beer will cost you around four euros and make perfect lunch.
Towards Malaga is a flat promontory . There is a restaurant /bar . It's got those floaty white sun screen/curtains round it. Give it a visit, it's not expensive, it's in an old garden and the local council are trying to develop it which would be a shame. All of this interesting local info came from the guy at the bike shop.
Returning to Malaga this April, struggling to find a little hostel/hotel as nice.
"Hostals are really for short stops but our week was okay. Our room was at back of hostal."Read full review
