Friendly helpful staff, huge single bedroom and super breakfast all make for an excellent stay at Hotel Lessing. Very close to the SBahn and all local links. Highly recommend this small hotel and the free transport ticket was a very welcome touch.

Nothing to shout about (neither in a good or a bad way). This is a decent hotel, you get good value for your money (and maybe a bit more). Friendly, accommodating and helpful staff. Breakfast is decent too.

This was our third stay at this family run hotel, my daughter and I were here to visit the Christmas markets. We stayed for 4 nights, our room was very spacious, small bathroom but all very clean and nice fluffy towels. Breakfast is extra but delicious and worth the money. We were provided with a travel ticket for the duration of our stay for local travel. The staff are very helpful and I will definitely stay here again when visiting Düsseldorf.

This hotel charged €628 for two rooms for one night excluding breakfast ! Standard practice for hotels when MEDICA is on - a practice which needs to be stopped as everyone I speak tells me they won’t return to Düsseldorf because of this. Hotel was clean and comfortable and perfectly fine for a one / two night stay . Not many local eateries but the Bistro at the bottom of the road was lovely .

Stayed here for two nights during a trip with my family to Germany. Highlights: * Room was a very good size for two adults and two children. Did not feel crowded * Breakfast was a good spread * Within a mile of the Dusseldorf HBF so is walkable * The staff was very friendly and helpful * Provide a transportation pass to use the public transportation services of the city for free * Right next to small park with a play ground Downsides: * Shower was a bit weird. It was a small wall that was connected to the tub. I didn't manage to correctly the first time I took a shower and managed to flood the bathroom floor quite a bit. Thankfully, I had enough towels. :-) * The near by park gets a bit sketch and dark after the sun goes down. Overall: Would definitely stay here again

I have stayed at the Lessing Hotel twice now, and enjoyed both of my stays. The staff are very welcoming and knowledgeable of the area. They sent us tickets to our home address to give us free transport from the airport, and around Dusseldorf, which saved us a lot of money! The hotel is very clean, spacious rooms, and situated close to a tram route which takes you straight to the main part of the city. It is also close to the train station that has a direct link to the airport. I would definitely stay here again!

I stayed here with my daughters for a Christmas market weekend. The hotel is located in a quiet residential area and very near the tram stop that is only 5 stops away from the centre. The hotel gives you free local travel cards which also helps you get around. The triple room was spacious, light, clean and warm. The staff were all so lovely and thankfully their English was a lot better than our German. The breakfast was worth the 12 euros and the breakfast room is light and airy. Would love to go back there again. The Christmas markets were well worth the visit
