The hotel is conveniently located, the room was spacious and clean. It had a nice balcony. It is a good place to stay if you don't need internet for work, because it is slow and you have to keep signing in and write down the user name and password, which changes every day. It is normally a budget hotel, but because it was a busy week with conferences and exhibitions this price of this hotel went up as well.

I chose this hotel because a conference in Frankfurt caused prices to go out of my budget. The hotel is rather basic (twin beds, TV, and internet) old but clean- certainly not luxury but OK. Breakfast was typical German - cold cuts, bread, cereal, etc. The area a mix of offices and a few take away spots. It is near the U-bahn so transportation around Frankfurt is easy. Bottom line - a basic hotel. The staff has limited English so don't expect suggestions on sites to visit, etc. Not a business hotel - just a place to sleep.

It was the cheapest hotel we found in frankfurt. The staff didn't speak very good English and the hotel was very old and needs renovation. The neighbourhood is not bad and downtown can be joined inchalah few minutes by car.

This is not an hotel. This is a block of flat with rooms. Old and dirty carpets from the 60s. Yurkk. I was there during the heatwave in July 2015 and could not open the windows due to the stringent smell of curry - of whatever the neighbours were cooking. No fan provided either. The breakfast was served with out-of-date bread items which were hard like rock.

We had a family weekend in Frankfurt and were recommended this hotel because of its location - two metro stops from the centre of the city. The rooms were very clean and tidy but somewhat basic in style (not a problem). All the facilities worked perfectly (TV, Hairdryer etc) Breakfast was excellent and all the staff very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this hotel and will be using it again.

It's hotels like this that really get you thinking about what's important for that particular stay. For us in this case, it was a good and safe location within Frankfurt, comfortable beds and a quiet position, parking and lowish price. Mondial meets all of these well. Where it falters is on little things that really are basic. A TV that doesn't work properly and is far too small. A downright dangerous hairdryer. Reception that doesn't fully speak the local language. The service was good and fairly friendly. Yes the hotel has no character but this can be said about a lot of places in Frankfurt. Breakfast is very basic but does the job. This place really has the potential to be so much more. The owner just needs to spend some of their money smartening it up. The location really is good and lots of places to eat within walking distance such as Armonia that we went to (and have reviewed). It is on a quiet side street so you should sleep well. I could have easily given this a 2 but I've given it a 3 overall. …

I would NOT recommend this hotel. I made a reservation and had to cancel (a MONTH ahead of time) - it was IMPOSSIBLE to get in touch with the manager. Every time I would call the hotel, they said they did not speak English, and to call back later. I called later as they advised, and then the receptionist told me that the manager was at home and to send him an email, which he did not respond to. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL. I'VE NEVER HAD SUCH A BAD EXPERIENCE WITH A HOTEL.

Yes, the hotel is well located, but it does not compensate for the rudeness of the staff. They are very unpolite, and most of the staff do not speak english. For someone having a long-term at the hotel, you would expect a better treatment. Apparently, they are doing the guests a favor letting them stay there. A pitty, real pitty. To add up, the bugs run free at the rooms (spiders are welcome there).
