Some really good points and some not so good. We had a family room and by ski chalet standards, it was huge! The first part of the room as you walked in were bunk beds, a wardrobe plus a small table and chair, then a large separate room as the main bedroom (closable door in between) which contained a really big bed (possibly super kingsize?), a chest of draws, table & 2 chairs, bedside tables, clothes rail and TV on the wall. The bed was super comfortable and we certainly weren't short on storage space. The room itself was very warm (too warm sometimes to the point we left the window open at night). There were no radiators, just warmth from the chalet building itself. On the flipside however, the bathroom was TINY with no available shelf space for toiletries etc, just a cupboard beneath the sink. There was only a shower rather than a bath, the water was nice and hot however the shower attachment on the wall was fixed, with no means of angling the shower flow. There were 3 hooks on the back of the main door to hang ski jackets, however a few more hooks on the wall wouldn't have gone amiss to hang other wet clothing (this is a common fault with a lot of chalets) - there was certainly plenty of wall space. We did manage with the chairs though. Another handy addition would've been a wall mirror in the main bedroom; the only one available was in the bathroom, and given you could only fit one person in at a time, that did cause problems. In terms of the chalet itself, it was a continental breakfast each morning plus they had an egg boiler that could fit 8 eggs in (either due to the temperature of the water or altitude, at least 8 mins required for a normal soft boiled, about 12 for hardboiled!). There was only standard 2 slice toaster rather a rotator machine normally seen in hotels (although I did spot a 4 slice Dualit machine in the kitchen!). It was actually manageable for our week but wouldn't have been if busier. Evening meal was provided offsite at a restaurant about 10 mins walk away (Bistro Manali) - I found it very nice but possibly a little restrictive if you're fussy, and certainly not great for young children. I believe they did offer an alternative if asked. As far as I'm aware, this chalet is now B&B only next year. Aside from seeing a lady when we checked in, we never saw any other staff (bar someone refilling the breakfast each morning) for our entire week's stay, which meant when we had an issue (blocked shower) we had to whatsapp the rep to contact the manager to sort out. In this instance, we were given keys to another room to use the shower there - this room being a double only and this was much much smaller than ours (walking space around the bed only). The bathroom was marginally larger but more modern with a toiletry shelf and a better shower. The ski room has a reasonably amount of space to store equipment and boots, however if your boots are wet inside I wouldn't bother - the boot warmer facility is a waste of time, must better off trying to dry your boots in the room. Major plus point of this chalet is proximity to the slopes; you're literally out of the door, across the road and up the escalator to the cable car. The chalet is above a bar however, so if you're after some quiet in the evening, request a room at the back (however this made no difference on live band night). As this chalet is B&B next year, we wouldn't stay again (plus we really missed having a cooked breakfast!); it was costing us 80-100 euros per day for 3 of us (2 adults & 12 year old) just for lunch, so expect another 150 euros on top of that for an evening meal as the resort isn't cheap. Cheapest option available was takeaway pizzas at 20 euros each.…
